Hello, how is it going? Just wondering if you ever searching around and see watches made by Swatch they look really cheap but some of them are really good.
Too bad he couldn't exercise the same restraint when responding to subscribers who are clearly making an innocent joke. Like the one who wondered if they should be taking advice from a UA-camr who doesn't see the irony in offering advice on getting the best deals/returns thrifting despite being more than willing to pay $10 for coffee! I didnt type the comment but it WAS accurate, clever and hilarious just the same! Apparently, he didnt SEEM to agree 😂 #ThriftingManBaby
A few years back my wife and I hit a community yard sale weekend. Got alot of fantastic bargains. Me, I got a Canon digital camera for $20! After making the rounds we went home and assessed our bargains. In the camera I found the SD card still inside, with hundreds of family photos. I quickly copied the card onto a CD disk and went back to the place I bought the camera from. I told the elderly folks about the family photos and they were distressed at "losing" them. I smiled and handed them the CD, in its own case with lable, "family photos." They could not thank me enough and even offered me cash for the CD. I politely refused and wished them a good day. Sometimes you win at these sales. Another was an estate sale. I bought a Grandmother wind up clock for $25. Turned out it was a Kellogg's employee retirement gift. I had it appraised...a very old Howard Miller with chimes and orginal Black Forest movement, estimated value:$1250! Wow, my ship came in. Took the clock to a professional and had it completely restored and tuned...best $140 I ever spent..it keeps exceptional accurate time and I love the chimes that ring every quarter hour.
Hubby here again - my Mom was a fisherwoman. Dad used to say that fish feared her, and willingly put themselves on her hook to save her time and trouble! LOL!
I enjoy watching your adventures. As a frequent yard seller, I really like the way you do not try to low ball the already low priced items at sales. You are fair and not a greedy person as I have watched in other videos. Some people are there to just clear out and others are selling because they really need the money from their yard sales. Thank you.
My favorites are when realtors have neighborhood yard sales because there's so many sellers in close proximity. The other is the last day & hour of an estate sale. They sometimes need to get rid of everything that didn't sell. I have gone to several where they would let you make a pile and $5 takes all. I love to see messy garages at estate sales. Good chance of buried treasures.
Lol!! I love how Kayla was like sewing?... No I fish! I'm A fisherwoman! 😂 That's what I'm talking about! If that don't make you proud I don't know what does. That's a quality woman right there! 😁
I can't believe what you said that old tackle box would go for on ebay. If that's true, I must be sitting on a small fortune!😂 Rods reels gear tackle.. sold my boats and don't even fish anymore.
Admire you both for being congenial, polite, and of course, business savy. Congratulations on the good finds! Thanks for pumping out the inspiring videos!
In the early 80s I found a Plano tackle box that opened on both sides at a KMart that was mis-marked at $1.00. By law they had to sell it to me at that price. There were 5 of them on the shelf and I bought them all! The regular price was almost $20! 4 of them became Christmas presents!
That typewriter in the box was a War Correspondent typewriter from WWII, I learned to type on one exactly like this o. My grandparents bought it for my mom when she was in school. He got it from a Army Surplus store. My mom was in high school in the late 1940s.
90% of the time if those golf cart chargers stop working it is a $3 diode that needs to be changed. Easy to test unsolder it and put a ohm meter on it. it should show continuity in one direction and not the other. Like a check valve for electric. Most of them have a couple diodes in them about the size of a watch battery. Super easy fix 90% of the time. Just FYI if you get some that don't work.
Hello from downunder love the bargains you found we have garden sales here but usually on a smaller level, when I lived on the coast in the cities we always went 2 what are here called curb side clean ups that the local councils did three times a year where people took all their old junk piled it up on the curb and the garbage compacter trucks came round and picked it up,its amazing what people throw out,I restore antique furniture so hence my off grid house is full of such as I mentioned its amazing what people throw out
I'm a collector of small vise's as well. Somehow I can't keep from adding them to my collection, and I do use several of them also. That Dremel model 395 for $3 was a steal! The adjustable speed switch on those can eventually wear out so picking the whole unit up cheap gets you several replacement parts
I’m lookin for an old bench vise. My dad had one set up in basement, it was So useful. I’d of brought it from the basement when I sold that home but it was So stuck on a built in workbench, I’d need industrial tools to destroy the bench.
I love free boxes too! Got 2 cute resin bears last year. One ear was broken, which I fixed, & it needed repainting, but after I did that they were just like new!
It's nice to find yard sales like this one , deals for everyone. 5 bucks for that tackle box loaded full of gear was a give away deal. Just the box alone was at least $10.00 dollars.
Man alive, you two are making bargains up a storm today! ( : I am sooo impressed! Yesss! ( : Thank goodness everyone was having yard sales today, like they said! Phew! ( : Great haul! ( :
If you like yard sales/ garage sales/ barn sales, then i have a great one to go to. My wife and i go every year and it is full of treasures, tools, antiques, fishing/hunting gear, history items and just about everything one could imagine. This huge sale is called the Algonac to Sebewaing 200+ mile yard sale tour. The sale starts west of Algonac, michigan and follows the shores of: Lake Saint Clair, Saint Clair River, Lake Huron and ends in Sebewaing, Michigan on Saginaw Bay. The sale is on the second weekend of August. It a beautiful drive along part of the Great lakes region, past historic lighthouses, small towns, state parks, public beaches and of course: hundreds of yard sales. There is also the Jimmy Buffet inspired Cheese Burger in Paradise festival in Cassville. I highly recommend doing this yard sale tour. Its a total blast.
Saw this and had to comment. I look for similar items and have scored a Kenwood integrated amp, (freebie) Carvin DCM 150 power amp, ($20) Pioneer Spec-1 and Sec-2, ($20 each) and most of the time they are missing something minor like a power cord, or just need the controls cleaned. Typically they are in almost pristine condition, cosmetically and need a good cleaning. The high end stuff was usually used by an adult and not abused. Probably just fallen by the wayside for something better or smaller. (downsizing, kids moving out, etc) Also found some KLH bookshelf speakers that I have been using in my shop for near 30 years with an older Fischer (tube) receiver. My brother scouts for 70s vintage motorcycles and has at least a half dozen. Mostly the Honda 4 cylinder ones. They all have stupid low miles because students ride then for a few years, move away, and leave them in the folks garage for 40 years. IOW, the folks are cleaning out.
We just had our "city wide rummage sale" this past weekend. They even make maps of all the houses and what they include. There had to have been almost a hundred houses. So fun!
Part of the reason that people have yard sales is to help people in the community - one of the reasons we mark stuff down lower than it's actually worth. I get that people resale some of this stuff, but it seems like it's taking advantage to just go to these things and buy stuff up so you can sell it again. Keeps people in the neighborhood from actually using it.
It has been many years since I went to a yard sale. The fishing gear and knives interest me, but the resale idea is something I could enjoy as well. Cool vid.
I am always amazed at how the Multie families stay together and all live within a few houses of each other! They are one devoted group of close nit relatives, I always love their yard sales, they are so nice!
Went to rich Columbus Ohio community sale today. Of 25 sales, I only purchased 3 items before 9am. Granted they were good. 11" Fenton swung uranium glass vase, Breville Cappuccino maker, and Waring Pro professional knife Sharpener...$21 spent. Then 3 goodwill visits... couple hundred profit at 5x. What surprised me was the 2nd day afternoon sale in 250K neighborhood. Tested & working complete full size kitchenaid mixer for $20. How does that not sell before 9am on friday???? Also got 3 vintage wooden Coca Cola crates & a starter patriots jacket for $30. We've all waisted our time picking, just saying the fancy house at 8am isn't the key to being successful in this business.
In the UK we have all the sellers come to one place. Every Sunday, year round, I am at the local car boot sale by 4:30 am just as sellers start setting up and get the best pick. In the summer there can be hundreds of sellers at a single sale and you will find just about everything you could want and you never know what you will see next.
Our HOA announced a yard sale last Spring and I was the only one who participated. Several buyers grumbled about it too, but I couldn't blame them. Congratulations on the terrific finds, I love the K-Bar knife.
Using my wife's device - Enjoyed watching - I like yard sales too, but I buy for myself, not to resell. I look for old serviceable hand tools, hammers, saws, braces and bits - If and when the grid goes down, I will be able to build/repair things, or barter extra tools for needed items, such as food or other necessities. I also shop "curbside throwaways" - never fails to amaze me at what folks throw away, that is still useful. And I am a nut for knives. My wife asks how many I need? My answer is " As many as I want." A Case 6 inch blade sheath knife saved my life in '64 in a small country in the Far East.
The razor is really cool. So one side is a leather strop but the other side is a sharpening hone. Depends which panel you remove. A lot of times the honing stone is cracked. If it's in good shape it'll be worth more.
good deals. i am a former ebay seller stopped doing it because they take a lot of your money ebay takes your money even if they items dont say. paypal takes a chunk of your money as well when you get pay.
I just always feel bad for the original owners, especially when they're old. I do realize when moving or whatever people just want to get rid of stuff fast even when they know it will sell better online.
I definitely had a click bait this weekend with a fairly upscale subdivision of 80-ish homes….2 garage sales 😆😂😆. It was only a mile from home so all was not wasted, found 7 Calloway & 1 Nike clubs for $60 total that my boys fought over. To quote Julian, “That’ll work!” BUT, at another sale I found one of those leather strap shavers in the metal case and luckily had time to comp it, so passed on it even though I definitely thought it was cool! My favorite part of your video was Kayla’s tackle box pick up👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻!
I go to my local flea market every saturday with my sister and last saturday i got brand new levolor blinds 2 faux wood for 2 for 5 dollars and he did a deal for me since i bought 12 of them and he did not want to haul them around any more so I got all of them for 15 dollars . It took me awhile to pick out all my sizes . 35x68 and I just got done putting the last one up after taking down the cheap ones that were really looking bad .I bought a kitchen rug brand new 10x12 for my breakfast room for 20 and it sells for 398 dollars . I love the Eden NC flea market . Great buys are always out there if you know how to find them . Great job you did at finding deals to make money .
On the 3rd weekend of Sept., EVERY YEAR, Hwy. 38 Grand Rapids, Minnesota, has their 38 miles of yard sales. There are literally 100’s of yard sales down one Hwy!! And there are also a bunch more on side roads along the Hwy!! It will take you all weekend to hit all them, Friday- Sunday!!
I used to list my garage sales and go to farthest so when I got low on cash I would hit the rest towards home. There was a subdivison across the street from me and my high bathroom window above the sink would face the entrance. On Saturday mornings I would get on the counter and look to see if they had one. I had lots of fun, this was some years back.
You guys made out nicely that day. Always fun finding those money makers. I remember when old type writer keys were a hot item in the craft supplies category. Don't know if it's still a thing. Just thought it was interesting.
Just saw your purchase on you tube of the corona typewriter. That particular item is pretty much I highly sought after machine. I say machine because my father was an assistant CEO of SCM which was Smith Corona Machines. He passed away 15 years ago at age 82 and was working there since he was 20 years old. Smith merged with Corona and became the well known SCM typewriters. This particular unit was used for journalist that could carry this unit by hand every where they went. This is a great pick. More young advertising people are looking for these items to decorate man caves or women cave. I have seen a few of the units in the back ground of news anchors when they are talking live on the news. This is a great pick I have a few of these in my possession 2 in the same condition and one almost new but in used condition and have been offered 800 for it but it’s a family heirloom and handing it down to grandchildren. Thanks enjoy watching your stream.
Great Video Guys!! Kayla, The first place I go to at a garage sale is to the FREE BOX!! You sure can get some excellent items in those boxes!!! Happy Easter!!!!! 🐰🐇🌷
Another great video !! Always love your yard sale videos . I need to pick up more tools and knives . Who am I kidding lol only look for Cutco ! But I might start lol thanks !!
I thought it was funny that that guy thought that Kayla was going to use the tackle box as a sewing kit. 😏 Who doesn’t love the “free” box? I learned to type on a very similar manual typewriter.
Me too. Remember if you made a typo? Having to use correction fluid and copying it? Then proofreading and having to literally “cut and paste” the old way? I learned quickly to eliminate mistakes as fast as I could. And I don’t feel old enough to tell stories like that.
Man I found a great yard sale today with awesome golf clubs. If I knew how to ship like you I would have grabbed them all. Brand name, good shape, bags too. Probably 40 clubs and drivers. I did get me a nice Taylor Made driver for $40 for myself.
Last garage home clean out I got a free grandfather clock, and for 1 dollar an es300 garage queen 80k on clock. gorgeous car. california zero rust everything works.
Those KBars are pretty nice. They still make them in upstate NY. I found one of those Rolls razors, really nice and they do work. takes some time for your face to get used to them. They are deadly sharp
What’s with showing all the $1 bills, does that signify to the seller your serious about buying “everything “ today!! Great job 👍🏼 I like your guys smooth approach, seriously friendly negotiators; awesome!
That is a modern KABAR 1217 and they're $90 brand-new. The blade looks excellent but the marks on the handle are going to drop into the $75 range. Great deal for $35. 👍
You would go nuts every wear when Oklahoma has the big yard sale. First weekend in May a bunch of towns all do it at the same day and it is called the 100 mile yard sale because it goes over 100 miles. Our little town is part of it.
Awesome video, really enjoyed watching. Great find Kayla on the fishing box. I bet Julian’s happy he brought that fisherwoman along? Lol And Julian, on the Knives and typewriter score! ♥️
@@Gayle.McConnaughey No, I don’t. But if I were to guess, I think that since she’s been doing full-time thrifting (and packing and shipping) with Jeremy, there’s not enough hours in the day?
A fully loaded fishing box for a fiver? Yes please! Some of the items in that box would like sell for over that amount, and that thing was chock full of gear.
Thanks so much for watching!!!!
Hoping the sale is huge! ( :

As long as you're not critiqueing him, sure 🤣
I went to a community yard sale today that advertised 186 homes participating and there was 3 tables set up outside of 1 condo
That's the worse!!!
I hope that wasn’t in fishkill?
I bet they were 3 really large tables.
All 185 homes didn't participate or they had a vr station setup for viewing the wares
I got there early and bought out all but three tables. Couldn’t get them in my Geo Metro. 😂
7:03 that tackle box reminds me of fishing with my dad and grandfather. Great times!
That’s the Best Yard sale I’ve ever seen!!!! K-bar, tackle box, vise, Bronze dolphin, Tools!!!!
Another video of good finds. Luved it when Kayla said she was a fisher woman 😊. God bless stay safe until the next video 💓 😍

That is a great pick up on the clubs! I know don't those razor things look way more expensive! Kaylas pick was great :)
This weekend here in ky they have the 400 mile garage sale. You would love it.
Rockin' that apocalypse look, BTM!
Here in SC there is the 23 mile yard sale going on this weekend, Fri and Sat. Starting near Edgefield SC.
Love their garage sale adventurers....
You guys made out nicely that day. Always fun finding those money makers. I remember when old type writer keys were a hot item in the craft supplies category. Don't know if it's still a thing. Just thought it was interesting.
i agree
There were some great free stuff.😃
Kayla loves the free boxes: )
@@beardedthriftmachine Now when I have a rummage sale I put out a free box with items too, hoping Kayla will drop by and check it out.😉😄
I have a larger version of that vise made by kc scale company. Didnt see who made yours. Good finds.
Dang!… love the dolphin!
Great finds all around!
Thank you!
Barbie and Ken of the thrifting world…love these videos 🥰

We have a thrift store in town that has free boxes out front, I found a uranium glass globe bowl in it a few days ago… great finds 👍🏼
Nice!!! That is kaylas go to the free box.- sometimes there are treasures
@@beardedthriftmachine absolutely.. I’ve found vintage Tupperware in them that usually sells within a week or so. I never pass on free😂
That was an awesome buy! Great Going!
Thanks so much for watching!
I love picking thru" junk" ...
One of my favorites things to do
Got a rollz razor about a decade ago. Best razor I've ever used, still use it every day.
Another great video !! Always love your yard sale videos . I need to pick up more tools and knives . Who am I kidding lol only look for Cutco ! But I might start lol thanks !!
Lol can't go wrong with cutco
I love the spinach wrap 😋
Kayla too :)
Amen to the old tools don’t break
aight that the truth
I thought it was funny that that guy thought that Kayla was going to use the tackle box as a sewing kit. 😏 Who doesn’t love the “free” box? I learned to type on a very similar manual typewriter.
I know.- I think kayla got a little offended lol about him thinking that: )
Easier way is we use pirate ship and use ups - in a 4x4x48 box 😀
Great finds!
Awesome thank you for sharing 👍👍
Thanks so much for watching
Last garage home clean out I got a free grandfather clock, and for 1 dollar an es300 garage queen 80k on clock. gorgeous car. california zero rust everything works.
Love the Nine Line shirt
Thank you - one of the brands I always wear
Wow great pick ups 😊
I love those little vices, too...
Cheers from England!
Just retired and was looking for something to do. Use to enjoying garage sales, good exerices, have some fun, Thank you.
Those KBars are pretty nice. They still make them in upstate NY. I found one of those Rolls razors, really nice and they do work. takes some time for your face to get used to them. They are deadly sharp
I bet - I was messing with this one when I got home - crazy sharp - I didn't try to shave my head
What’s with showing all the $1 bills, does that signify to the seller your serious about buying “everything “ today!!
Great job 👍🏼
I like your guys smooth approach, seriously friendly negotiators; awesome!
That is a modern KABAR 1217 and they're $90 brand-new. The blade looks excellent but the marks on the handle are going to drop into the $75 range. Great deal for $35. 👍
I thought it was a solid deal for $35 for sure
Love yard sales! Like a treasure hunt! Lol.
Dude that Craftsman Driver set Was a smoking deal,DAM
i know right!
1:43 “Sewing kit?!” 😂
3:09 Mr. $5 Below and Mrs. $100 And Up!
Lol sewing kit - kayla I think got a little offended 🤣
@@beardedthriftmachine, she was right to!
You would go nuts every wear when Oklahoma has the big yard sale. First weekend in May a bunch of towns all do it at the same day and it is called the 100 mile yard sale because it goes over 100 miles. Our little town is part of it.
Had some good finds today. Love those Swiss Army knives
Good deals🎉❤😊
Nice haul. The Ka-Bar appears to be a new production, not old/vintage--but they are still at least twice or 3x what you paid for it NIB.
i paid $39 .99 for one brand new . Its a garbage knife.
The 5$ tackle box was full . Worth a lot more .
i agree
Awesome video, really enjoyed watching. Great find Kayla on the fishing box. I bet Julian’s happy he brought that fisherwoman along? Lol And Julian, on the Knives and typewriter score! ♥️
Patti do you know why Kayla isn’t making videos now?
@@Gayle.McConnaughey No, I don’t. But if I were to guess, I think that since she’s been doing full-time thrifting (and packing and shipping) with Jeremy, there’s not enough hours in the day?
A fully loaded fishing box for a fiver? Yes please! Some of the items in that box would like sell for over that amount, and that thing was chock full of gear.
