The last garage sale we had, i vowed never again. People are so cheap. Selling something new is $100, and I was selling for $1. Someone had the audacity to ask if i could do better. 😮 I am not having a free sale!!! 😅
Never again....
I had that exact same experience when I had a garage sale. I had a brand new pack of highlighter markers (4 in the set) and STILL IN THE PACKAGE marked for .25cents, this lady had the audacity to ask if I would take .10cents for them. 😡 so at this point I had enough, so I told her I could give her my non-perishables if she was that broke. Lol That’s so irritating! I would NEVER ask someone to do that if I was the shopper. I’d be too embarrassed 😮😠
SAME!!! I was so disgusted by people. I never want to have a sale ever again. You would never believe my experience and I really don't want you to feel the way they made me feel. I tend to do that myself, it is called empathy. God Bless Yall!!!
This is the reason I just donate everything to goodwill these days. No not the best option but if it teaches people to not be entitled pricks then so be it.
Some people have no brains or class!! They feel the barter thing is you always have a ask for a better price!! They don't know or don't care that when you're getting a great deal already, you don't be insulting and ask for a better price!!!!
A friend and i had one in June ,time was posted and said no early birds, we had driveway entrance blocked , didn't matter they parked on road and still came early. They mostly were looking to get good antique stuff cheap to resale on ebay or internet . Ugh made us mad .
Honey, the cat, is so happy all these people came to visit her today!😊
She was the sweetest!!! We wanted to take her home with us!
@@TreasureEverywhere24k I saw the comment before I saw the cat. I knew she was going to be an orange cat. They're the most friendly, loving sweethearts. I have a boy named Butterscotch.
I saw the red wagon at one against the wall and had been looking to replace my almost 40 year old one that I used when my son was a toddler and he used it while growing up on our sloped half acre yard. I then used it for moving heavy things as it was easier than a wheelbarrow. The poor thing had bent axles and the steel wheels were beginning to rust out and I could get the parts to replace but they aren’t cheap. I definitely got my money’s worth since I probably got it around 1985. Those non-inflatable tires are far superior than the air inflated as they go flat on the rough, rocky terrain.
Yeah, the one I had when I was a kid was indestructible at the time! I can't even imagine how much rock and dirt I hauled in mine!
I have 4 sets of lawn darts~~ apparently dad kept misplacing them when we were all kids; he’s been gone 13 years and the garage gave up 3 and found 1 in the old coal bin room. Former Toys R Us here and I KNOW they’re illegal but I’m still alive along with my kids and all nieces and nephews have ALL EYES so DAD DID GOOD.❤
Yea... "He misplaced them"... Didn't want his kids/family/friends getting hurt...
We got the blunt rounded version. Not as fun as the sharp ones.😂
I don't remember anyone but kids in newspaper articles getting hurt on occasion. Those sticks you'd throw in the swimming pool scared me more.
In the 70s I was very close to being impaled by one ,that my neighbor "friend " as he was standing beside me threw straight up into the air, but he forgot to mention it. I was being distracted by his brother. Talking about something. We hadn't been playing darts that day, they were just out on the yard.
Me and the ground hog out behind the shed have a blast playing lawn darts. he's actually losing weight because I'm getting more accurate so he has to run like hell now.
Illegal to sell in stores, I come across them all the time, I have two sets that I bought at a garage sale. I've also come across throwing knives (not illegal), slingshots (not illegal).
depending on state
We sell ammo for rifles, knives, vintage playboys, and all sorts of things on yard sales... so far yard sales are a free market, only thing they would get you for is if you sold drugs and alcohol... nobody gives af about the other stuff. And I've seen lawn darts on sales many times
@@nontrashfire2that hasn't stopped people from buying them
just like new jersey you can buy them
Click bait shouldve been,'I illegally bought stuff at a garage sale.
I stopped having yard sales, sick of people wanting it cheaper and hear them talking about reselling so I now resell.
It's called a barter system and unless your at a retail store or big box store then the barter system is in Play unless you put up a sign that says all prices are final and no returns .that's just how it goes . Yes people are cheap but yard sale goers or garage sale goer's are just people that want to get stuff that you don't want or need for the best possible price . They pull up with the mind set of hey I'm helping you out by buying your junk .
@@MikeHunt-lz2hq I got that. have done yard sales before. it is the open discussion on how they are going to resell for, keep that to themselves and out of ear shot of the one having the yard sale. Some have yard sales due it issues and it is hard for them. They also show up with the mind of how to screw the seller over
I have $40 free shipping on a set of bicycle rims and I got an offer $20.00. So basically if I accepted and with fees and promotion it may have cost to sell. People can be cheap that's up to them, but be realistic in doing so.
You can sell anything you want just don't video yourself doing it
Or edit it out LOL
No you can't that's Called conspiracy. And it carries a natural life sentence. They don't ever have to release you from federal prison on conspiracy charges. Ever, they'll never even have to formally Sentence you
@@goofie83assassin78it’s a joke. I assume you are joking too, 😉😉because that is not conspiracy. It is when more than two people to conspire to commit a crime. If it was just the seller it would be premeditated if they knew….The general Conspiracy statute provides a maximum punishment of not more than five (5) years, as well as a fine up to $250,000.00 for a felony offense. For a misdemeanor offense, the maximum punishment cannot exceed the maximum possible punishment for the misdemeanor.
*Conspiracy for a terrorist act would make them throw away the key, but conspiracy for a misdemeanor would not cause anyone to throw away the key.
Going back to the original comment of not filming or editing it out…….Because no one would say that and commit conspiracy with another person…..because it would then make them guilty. lol they would edit it out! Haha
That was a joke too….
However you look at it we will all tell you it’s a joke! Get it!😂 hopefully your name tells me it was a joke to you as well!🫣🤫😉
As long as you're not a store you can sell lawn darts, Recalls only apply to stores not yard sales or individual private sales.
@@PolizeiPaulTrue just like you can sell gun's just because it's illegal to sell in a store doesn't make it illegal to sell at a yard sale
That orange sled you found is the same one I use as a kid. I used to stand on it and hold the rope as I went down the snowy hill like a daredevil. Good solid sled
**Funny story** We had a garage sale a couple years ago and this neighborhood kid (around 10-12yrs) had his own few dollars so he bought a new bike tire for his bike ($3.00). He paid for it and walked back home to his house. About 15mins later his angry dad comes back with the kid and starts shaming us for taking money from a child and how dare us,blah blah blah. Now, this father was not even supervising his child in the first place. So after he was done scolding and shaming us, I told him “dude, this is a garage sale, not a strip club. We take anybody’s money”. Lol.😂 I couldn’t believe this guy! Everyone else at the garage sale was laughing and wondered what was wrong with this guy. 😂
Great story!! 🤣🤣🤣
Probably needed the kids money for a bottle.
@@EmeraldHill-vo1cs Lol 😂
Just laugh
He was mad because his boy just found out his dad can't change a tube?
That first sale is the neatest most organized yard sale I’ve ever seen!
I thought the same. I thought it was staged. Is it? Many of these kind of channels fakes sales for their thumbnails especially.
I buy yard darts every time I come across them. And yes I play with them. They are actually more safe than driving your car down the road.
You can test slot cars with a 9V battery. If one still doesn’t run, it might be full of dust and gunk. You can use canned air to try and get some of the dust out and sometimes you can get it going again.
Thanks for that info! I feel like I knew the 9v battery trick when I was a kid, but I completely forgot about it until you reminded me. I appreciate it!
This is one of the great things about UA-cam.
A person like myself can say why would anyone watch this while other people think it's a geat use of their time.
Variety is the spice of life!
You ask yourself that while watching it?
It was less than 1 minute.
Just not for me but nothing wrong with it.
@@a9ball1 i was just poking at you a little bit. I know it’s not for everyone. I only watch these folks because i like the kind of people they are. They’re good wholesome folks. And they know alot about it and im thinking of getting into this type of thing.
I have found myself falling asleep to the sounds of the lawn mowers and weed eaters on the channels were people go around and take care of overgrown lawns.
My husband watches Dr. Pimple Popper. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@keekers oh man i watch em too. I watch em and wish i had one of those stand up mowers like they use. I have 5 acres that used to be easy to mow but i had 2 horses then. I sold the horses to a man that was able to provide the care that they deserved and i had financial trouble coming on and i knew i wasn’t going to be able to afford them anymore. My farher died so i moved my mother in with me. Dad had no life insurance and funerals are expensive. But without the horses grazing most of the grass it’s alot to do with a riding mower. Those standup mowers cut good though. If i had one i could cut the back two and a half acres every other week and cut the front two and a half every week.
When I was young we played jarts all the time didn't stab
Me too! We had a lot of fun with them when I was a kid.
We had them, too, and they were so much fun!
My family of eight had them and we played with them until I was an only child.
I AM KIDDING!
(one brother also survived)
I have two sets of Jarts. One of these days I'm going to play with them. :)
How much do you want for them?
You can sell the jarts. Just without the metal tips. They sell very well too! In many cases, just the empty box can sell for over $100.
Yeah, I've also seen lots of "empty box" listings sell for big money. For now, I'm going to keep them simply for the cool / nostalgia factor.
Very true, I have sold 3 sets in the past.
You can polish small chips out of glass with wet/dry sandpaper (H.Freight or auto zone). Back up the sandpaper with a stiff piece of foam and work through grits 220,320 to smooth out the chip then higher grit to polish. Works on ceramics and glass.
The funny thing about lawn darts is that they are outlawed , yet anyone can purchase a bow and arrow kit , the most deadly weapon in history by Number dispatched with them .
you can have lawn darts they just have to be the blunted plastic tipped ones can't have the original or any metal tipped lawn darts in the US!
The company that made them must have angered some corporation.
I have a set of Jarts in my building. Have had them since the late 60's or early 70's.
You totally missed the large Revere ware frying pan with lid. . I was salivating because I have been searching for one for years. I'm trying to reconstruct my mother's Revere set. . Ohh goodness. . Those are the bomb for frying anything
Mine is 45-46 years old. My husband of 44 years gave me my Revere set for Christmas, 4 months before our wedding ❤😊
Thanks for pointing that out! I'll be on the lookout for them now! I actually picked up some Revere Ware, copper bottom, at a sale this morning for 50 cents each that will be in a future video. But I definitely need to learn more about them!
I have Revere pots and pans. They are at least 40 years old and work great!

Ohh, now you've piqued my curiosity, and I need to try this!
The set of Jarts that mom and dad had are still in the garage storage room, on the same shelf they've been sitting on for probably half a century now. Right next to dad's old bakalite radio, a tube tester, the Jayhawk crossbow I made in high school shop, and a ton of other stuff from the 50's on. I was just out there just yesterday looking for the weed sprayer. It's from the 60's but it still works great.
They definitely don't make things like they use to...built to last..
@@azinfandellvr That they don't. I was looking for the old one because the one I bought a couple years ago broke. The old one is well made, but it is heavy so I thought I'd get a plastic one and see if that was better - it wasn't.
I'm just now learning the fun of yard sales. I've been looking old sewing machines to clean up and fix. Found a $2 one with nothing wrong with it!
Yeah, you can find some great deals on sewing machines. Over the past few years, I've gotten 3 Bernina machines for free! People just want big items out of their garage sometimes.
I'd buy the Frankcoma (?) for personal display. I'm into browns, mom is into the greens.... 😅
I used to brake for garage sales, but with immobility issues. I can no longer manuveur piles, or mazes of tables, etc.. 😮
It was a nice piece! We've got a brown frankoma planter at the house that we use. Aww, I'm so sorry that you can't get through sales anymore!!
I can't get over the fact that 1980s My Little pony is considered vintage. 😮😂
I try not to think about it! 🤣🤣
@@TreasureEverywhere24k Well depending on Which ones you get. They can be worth abit of Money. A Few years back I sold a 1980s My Little Pony Collection for $2,700 granted in they were still in the box and the boxes were still in very good condition too.
The Handkerchief vase could be Murano. i see that flat sanded base on alot of Murano pieces.
The yard sale that you got the brass cat from, had some carnival depression glass !
Hey there! I love finding Magnalite. I friend told me about them, and I know to look for Made in the USA on them. I've found several at estate sales but never at a garage sale. I'm still looking!
They're a rare find here at good prices. I typically see them in the $80-120 range at sales, so I never buy them.
I've got many jarts in my collection, my family loves playing
I want a jart gun, if there's such a thing. LOL
We had a set of Jarts in the 1960's, long gone, trying to find a set for myself, and very tough to find.
I remember back in mid 90's all the ww2 veterans had yard sales, had bunch of rifles of all kinds. 50$ each everywhere Made a small fortune. Going thing is knives
First time watching you , I used to live this life a few yrs ago it was fun . Stuff listed on Ebay and did garage sales every weekend and just kept listing ( weekly ) the money would come in every week from previous purchases from garage sales. I loved to shop so I bought good stuff , but then would let it go for a profit - so much fun but age catches up with you eventually LOL. Is the lady with you your wife ? To be honest you come across as quite bossy but thats just the vibe I got early in the video , maybe i'm wrong but they do have a comment section for comments so why not use it .Enjoyed the look around the garage sales though so thank you , have a good day .
I wish I could have bought that pale gold sofa with chair&ottoman! It's exactly what I've been looking for😢
I have 2 of the camp stoves complete , one is a dual burner !

Nice find with those Jarts! They're really cool, just not to play with. Great collector's item.
I knew that roaster was Magnalite before you even turned it over! My grandmother had one just like it over 60-yrs ago.
What a pile of crap, no wonder his garage was full of tat, more chance buying lottery tickets
Thank you for sharing. I have to say that Magnalite Pot is a great price. I love my set of them .
I love my Magnalite roaster so much I bought a second one when I found it.
My great-grandmother used what you called a hair holder as a hair-net holder.
That Magnalite piece is in great condition! My mom and grandma both cooked in Magnalite almost exclusively. All the homemade fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy I grew up eating all cooked with love in Magnalite. 🥰
I wish I could afford to get a piece or two, but I'm always looking for it in the thrift stores.
Thanks for the sweet story! They are tough to find for sure! I go to thousands of sales a year and only ever find 1 or 2 at a cheap price. The rest are always at least $100.
When I was a kid I had one of the Jarts stuck in the back of my knee, hurt like mad and messed up my knee. Those things hurt a lot of kids lol 😂
Oh no! That sounds awful!!
Fun video to watch . The AFX on the bottom of the slot car means A/Factory Expermantal a drag racing category

The Ziffy Whomper hands down is the best sled ever invented. Also, I'm so jealous you managed to get the lawn darts they were great back in my childhood.
That's great to hear! We can't wait until winter to give the Ziffy a try!
The best deals...The Roaster pan, the Jarts yard darts, and the terminal crimp sets! I would likely have picked up at least one of those caulk guns. Of course, I would be buying for my own use, rather than resale.

No cop is going to arrest anyone for that. And from what I’ve read, they’re illegal to sell in retail stores like Walmart etc. not privately.
