- Join me Start to Finish as I use what I have on hand to make a pin cushion. Wool from a recycled sweater and scraps of fabric are transformed and Slow Stitched in this quick project. I use ground walnut shells to add weight and soft stuffing to make the pincushion extra cushion-y. Watch until the end for a bonus pin cushion project featuring a sweet lamb from my childhood. There's loads of detail, inspiration and insight. I hope it's a jumping off point for you to make your own! Come stitch with me! See the Chapter timestamps below so you can hop around.

Hello Jo ❤ I am a new subscriber to your wonderful channel as of this morning! As I was watching this video and your little lamb appeared, I felt a sudden tug at my heart; I had one just like that when I was a little girl!!! I love the fact that you still have yours and treasure it so! Your work is so lovely and I feel I've found a kindred spirit! ☺️ Thank you for sharing your detailed instructions in all of your videos! Cheers to your kind and sweet heart!!! 💙💚💙
@@roxannemaguire5826 Thank you! I’m glad you found me! It’s surprising the things that survive life’s changes through the years and I’m glad this lamb is still with me! Welcome!😊🧵🪡
I love your take on slow stitching. It’s a nice change from the vintage theme. So fun and colourful.
Thank you! Always lots of colour!😊🧵🪡
Really beautiful. Pin cushion! Very informative video..
Thanks!😊🧵🪡
What a sweet little lamb. I love your pincushions... very clever. Stay safe ❤️
Thank you! 💜🧵🪡
This was awesome. Back in the day…flowers were put in this type of lamb for congrats when having a baby. Usually pink or blue. I received both! Wish I still had them. But recently found a llama that I’m planning to use. Thank you for this tutorial.
Ah! Thank you for explaining the lamb’s origins. It explains why I’ve had it since day one! Nice for the baby’s room (and later for holding pencils and crayons as I recall 😊) and now a pin cushion 😊🧵🪡
I absolutely love this project. Love your little lamb too.
Thank you! The lamb is so sweet 🐑😊🧵🪡

Thank you! A small bag of crushed walnuts goes a long way!😊 I hope you enjoy stitching your pin cushion😊🧵🪡

Thank you! Great idea!
Adorable. I have a zebra planter that I want to make into a pincushion. Thanks
That sounds like fun!
Thank you for this! I came across your channel a few days ago and I just love your videos. Extremely relaxing, informative, and enjoyable to watch, as I start to explore the practice of slow stitching. I've been wanting to make a couple of pin cushions and this is perfect. Great tip about the crushed walnut shells :)
That's great to hear! I hope you enjoy making some pincusions!😃🪡🧵
Love this project! Love that you were able to take something so special to you and make it into something you can use every day.
Thank you! It's so nice to have it out so I can see it every day. It makes me smile!
Love this. It will be my next project. Thank you.
Thanks! That’s great!
Love this
Thank you!😊🧵🪡
I came for the slow stitch pincushion… but now I realise that I have a lovely little sausage dog planter that would be perfect with a pincushion insert
@@rainbowmagpie That would be adorable! 😊🧵🪡
Great video, thanks x
Thank you!
❤ TFS
I love this video. I would like to make one and I'm a beginner in sewing. Do you have a pattern
Thank you! No pattern for this but making your own is easy! A small jar could be used for a pattern. The distance around the jar would be the the length of the middle piece and you choose the height. The circle pieces for the top and bottom could be traced from the lid. 😊🧵🪡
