Suede Wrapped interior

I wasn't sure how this was going to turn out. I have never done any interior work. My back up plan was more flocking which was an easy option. This turned out great and only required time and patience. I may go back later and do the full dash in this same material.

Great job. I think you thought through the stages really well. Didn't try to do the adhesion all in one go. Looks great. Pity about the flocking spray.

@@scantronsgarage i hear ya.... im about to embark on a replica countach... and the interior will be like the aventador,, as i hate the countach interior,, i was thinking black with red accents and 4d carbon fibre wrap.. or going bold with black and "burnt orange" accents with 4d CF wrap.....im looking at a full EV countach... a black one

What type of foam is that? How tick is just right? 2mm?

This was some basic foam batting I picked up from JoAnn Fabrics. They had a bunch to choose from. This may have been about 2 or 3mm. I didn't want it too thick.

It has held up well. TBH though, I have not driven the car at all so it is has not had to endure the daily abuse yet

Looks great but in that color better be ready for the extremely high maintenance, dust and every particle is going to show real quick and the fabric natural sticky texture makes it a pain in the butt to keep it clean.

@scantronsgarage if you have an air compressor DAP weldwood landau top and trim is the way to go. You can get a cheap spray gun from Harbor Freight.
In a can DAP welwood, 3am super 90, loctite, permatex. Research good spray adhesives in a can.
But spray from a gun is the best.
They also make burshable contact adhesives. They are good also for smaller parts
