Nice demonstration, Anthony! I've used just plain white printer paper when I don't have any bags. Seems to work also with lacquer finishes as well. Those columns look great!
Nice tip! Makes me think of when I finish drywall where the client wants flat/no texture where they have a lot of natural light hitting the walls I will use my bare hand 🖐️ at the final stage in a light circular motion. Puts a beautiful scratch free finish. It also removes most of the dust from that portion of the wall or ceiling.
Love General Finishes top coats. Hard to find here in the south. Really liked the Enduro-Var in its original formulation. The new stuff is harder to work with, and the satin finish is too shiny. Going to try the High Performance on my next project.
Sometimes with solid woods to raise the grain for a final sanding but not with plywood. I try to keep plywood as dry as possible to avoid it turning into the shape of a potato chip.

Did you have to thin out the finnish with the semi pro2.
General finishes waterborne finishes are ready to spray right out of the can. No thinning required.
Looks great. What type and color of stain is it?
Thank you. That’s minwax true black stain.
Nice work!
Do you wet your wood before staining?
