I never liked it. Thought it was a massively overrated show that people only liked because of the amount of money that it was giving away, as opposed to the actual game.
Who...automatically...said in their mind "and not a drop to drink" after the category Water Water Everywhere was said? ME OF COURSE! Great now it will be in my head ALL DAY lolol
Clearly 1980's, *not* 1979, as the contestants and actors above reference President Reagan (POTUS 1981-89) and Madonna's "Like a Virgin" (released 1984).
GSN does too much credit crunching cutting fee plugs and plus they air too much Feud these days too so hopefully Pyramid will air on Buzzr TV without cutting fee plugs or crunching credits at all.
IDK what u mean by face shape changing.... Unless I mean all the plastic surgery that has made many many of doctors filthy rich. Yes nobody seems to want to age naturally. However if u have the money and want a nip and tuck I say go for it. Gravity and time has a bad effect on us. And the fountain of youth has been sought for thousands of years. And I think ps is the closest until the real fountain had been found. And if I was found by a Dr I'm sure it would be hidden or destroyed. And besides I'm sure it's hard to live in hollywood and expect to look you're best in movies or tv. Just don't turn into a joan rivers.but yes I agree with you that today's youth even wants to enhance or alter appearance.
I think the real reason that fell through is because she screwed up and said Eve's "snake", instead of Eve's "fruit" - I've seen two other episodes where "fruit" is given and the contestant gets it right away, one of those being the $100,000 series premiere (where it was also top of the pyramid).
@8:00 "Little Jack Corner sat in a... " Answer=Corner... lol, they allowed the full answer being used in an example?.. I believe thats the first time I've picked up on a major blunder in this game by the late Mr. Clark...
Thank you for the video but there’s no way in hell this was 1979. It fact it was somewhere in the mid 80s. Because Mary Catorette was on three’s a crowd, that showed aired in the mid 80s. That was pretty much her only claim to fame
For the "Novels/Fiction" category: Could the clue be phrased as "Alex Hailey's ROOTS," or "Mark Twain's HUCKLEBERRY FINN," or even "Tolstoy's WAR AND PEACE"?
This broadcast was originally shown on CBS daytime in 1985; at that time-Mary Cadorette was co-starring with Robert Mandan and the legendary comedic performer John Ritter on a short-lived ABC prime time situation comedy called "Three's A Crowd".
I never understood in the michael strahan version the star sat in the opposite chair and the contestant gave clues to the star. I just didn't like that.
I miss u brother buddy Dick Clark
Rest In Peace.
I've always liked the $25,000 Pyramid. I learned a lot of words, meanings, and synonyms as a kid watching this show.
I never liked it. Thought it was a massively overrated show that people only liked because of the amount of money that it was giving away, as opposed to the actual game.
@JohnathanWilliamson849 We're all entitled to our own opinion...
...no matter how incorrect.
I've always thought that the best clue for "Things That are Produced" during this time period would be "Aaron Spelling TV Shows".
My cursor hovered over the video and I clicked thinking I saw Bawwy Kwipke in he thumbnaiw.
I was waiting for the skip ad button to come up never did so I had to watch the entire 10 second commercial.
Great show to keep your thinking as you age. Miss Dick Clark! He was an American Icon!

No one bc that's not a commom saying.
@@CC-si3cr Oh wow! I have been saying that saying since I was a little girl. I thought EVERYONE knew that. Am I showing my age??? lololol
@@SueBeaWho maybe, but I thought it also and then reflected on a school paper that I had written about it!
it's a VERY common saying ... I thought it was "water, water, everywhere, and nary a drop to drink"

The Feud is from 1979, this iteration of Pyramid was 1982-88.

The applause really interfered with the bonus round, imo.

I suppose he realized that Africa is a continent, not a country, in the first round.
2:51. Nope. I'm watching this on a Saturday, not a Wednesday.
so funny to see how humans evolve from 70's to now...the face shape, clothing, hair do...seem like the people were from out space...

That's a $100,000-level stopper.
I just said this in a comment, but also "Aaron Spelling TV Shows".
This could not have been 1979 for the Pyramid episode -- "Like a Virgin" by Madonna is used as a clue and that song wasn't released until late 1984.
It's not, it's 12/11/85.
You can kinda of tell when they want somebody (think it’s time for somebody to win) to win by how easy the pyramid subjects are
It’s the great pumpkin!
Flo was the Progressive lady in 1979??????

For "things that are tempting"... she COULD have said "The tree of knowledge of good and evil", and it would (or should) have been legal.
Master Dawson and Skyler Engle The Lord of the survey together again
Mandi: Ohh!
They say they are nonfiction, which is not correct, they are fiction books and the subject for space. UGH!
Mandi says Shapes and colors

It's stated this show is from 1979, however they mention Madonna's "like a Virgin" which did not come out until 1984. What's up with that?
No, I think it's the Family Feud episode that comes from 1979. $25,000 Pyramid didn't debut in daytime until 1983.
This broadcast was originally shown on CBS daytime in 1985; at that time-Mary Cadorette was co-starring with Robert Mandan and the legendary comedic performer John Ritter on a short-lived ABC prime time situation comedy called "Three's A Crowd".

Eve's snake makes sense, the snake tempted Eve. But then, Eve tempted Adam with the apple.
