Most depressing from our point of view. That same year the Wave Knight was present when a British couple was kidnapped by pirates and we weren't allowed to open fire. Allegedly so we didn't endanger the couple, but in reality we had to get direct permission to open fire from London and permission wasn't given. It wasn't long after that that attitudes changed. In 2011 the RFA Fort Victoria had an open brig built under the flight deck for storing the pirates we captured. They were then transported to Kenya for trial.
