From the video you can see the ship was making a hard to port manoeuvrer to avoid a boarding, it was also heading for international waters, probably to dump it's cargo. Rumour has it, the Maritime Task Unit of the Army Ranger Wing conducted this operation.

The second helicopter is for rescue operations. If one of the other aircraft had a problem or a man got injured.
It has since been released that 2nd helicopter had a team of snipers on board to cover the lads who landed on the deck of the ship.

Drogheda is pronounced Draw'h'da and the word Celtic isn't supposed to be said like the football team. That's just a mass incorrect pronunciation. The word is said more like Keltic. As in Ancient Celtic people/language etc.

Damn right and they are extremely trained in everything from maritime to espionage to land and hostage operations. Ireland is neutral so they are mainly used for rescue operations for irish citizens or visa holders trapped in war torn countries
I am far more interested in the intelligence gathering operation than the boarding operation but that is where the real secret is.
