Major Improvements Include:
1. Better front suspension (now adjustable and further play)
2. Welded on rear rack increasing rack payload to 150 lbs (previously 75 pounds)
3. Improvements to motor and controller resulting in more efficient and smoother ride as well as more torque/power
4. New 11-28 tooth rear freewheel cassette improving pedalling efficiency (less phantom pedalling)
5. Upgrade to hydraulic brakes with 180mm rotors (previously mechanical brakes with 160mm rotors)
PS. Same great price $999.99. The XP 3.0 is clearly the best value in eBikes
100% the best value ~ Not sure anything comes close!
@@Dlo_BestLife What top speed do you get using throttle only? (I have an XP 3.0 and I find both the acceleration and top speed in throttle-only mode to be less than awe-inspiring. I'm wondering if this is normal or if it's just me.)
We just got the 3.0 ST ext/range w/free battery, cargo baskets, and upgraded seat/suspension post
Awesome deal
I got black wife got white
Very nice bikes
Packaging was excellent they just do a very nice job top to bottom good job lectric 👏👏👍
The 3.0 is a GREAT bike. I love how silent the motor is!
10/10 Video. Would Watch Again.
I have two of these from December and January. I've defended the mechanical brakes on the Facebook user group, but freely admit that they need a frequent adjustment. Something that many to most buyers won't or can't do. I recently bought the XP Trike which does have hydraulic brakes and they are indeed a significant improvement and should be on any ebike unless the rider likes to be fiddling with the caliper and cable adjustments frequently, like after every third long ride.
I'm waiting for the hydraulic kits that are offered to owners without them. I see the front comes with a new wheel. A few days ago, I was adjusting the calipers and noticed it can rub against the spokes when adjusted all the way in. That means I need new pads. I have about 500 miles on it. Lots of hills around me and I don't care to exceed 30 MPH down them.
If the motor controller on the Trike is the same as on the 3.0, I look forward to that. While not bad, I would appreciate the smoother motor engagement of the Trike. I understand amperage spiking is also reduced which should help the range.
Yes Sir, the brakes are a bit better than the originals :) I saw a Trike the other day, they look sweet!
I don't understand how you could possibly "defend" the mechanical brakes. They were awful! Both my wife and I experienced complete mechanical brake failure going downhill on separate occasions. Many other users experienced the same mechanical brake failure and that is why Lectric was FORCED to upgrade to hydraulic. It was either that or face a safety recall of all 3.0s released up to that point. The hydraulic bikes are just so much superior and I would say necessary for a bike of this weight and power.
OMG! That is so rad! It is like off the chain dog…..
Ordered mine today. In black however. Thanks for showing. I can’t wait !!!!!
Enjoy !
What a coincidence. I just ordered mine yesterday
@@njmstudios I’m wondering how long they’ll take
@@NRP1991 Hope you guys get them within a few weeks!
Here is my one year update on my 3.0 bike. I first want to state, this is a fun bike to ride and it gets positive comments everywhere i go. When riding the beach trails here in Gulf Shores, AL. i see many more of these bikes on the trails so they are very popular. I now have about 2300 miles on the bike and have the following observations. The rear tires only seem to last about 800-1000 miles, the front tires seem to last a little longer. I am on my third set of tires at 2300 miles. I did the factory upgrade for the hydraulic brakes in July and had to replace the rear brake line and assembly because it developed a leak within a month. The battery failed to hold a charge after just 3-4 months and got a replacement under warranty. The warranty people and service folks at Lectric have been great to deal with. The cost of upgrades and maintainence is around $385.00 so far. Anyone having better or worse luck with their bike? Let me know.
GREAT info! Thank you!
Mine just came in last week and I love it. Purchased the extended battery. This baby is the real deal.
Gratz man
@dominickoliveri: If you don't mind, I'll ask you the same question I just asked @therealdlo: How's the acceleration and top speed in throttle-only mode? I have an XP 3.0, and while the pedal assist is okay, I'm not overly impressed with the throttle-only performance, and I'm wondering if that's normal or if it's just me.
@@Milesco Not very happy with the acceleration in throttle only mode, but it gets up and goes well in peddle assist. Not sure if this is a problem with the bike or not. If anyone knows if it's just our bikes or is this across the board an issue.
@@dominickoliveri1423 Thanks for getting back to me on that. Yeah, my experience appears to be the same as yours -- decent performance in pedal assist mode, but lazy acceleration in throttle-only. Glad to know I'm not alone!
Can I ask you what your top speed in throttle-only mode is? It's supposed to be 20 mph or so (I've seen some UA-camrs get 21 or even 22), but the best I can get is about 18. And it goes down from there as the battery discharges. ☹
@@Milesco yeah 18 mph at best 17 more like it.
I do believe the new hydraulic brake parts/kit is manufactured by NUTT. If you had purchased an XP 3.0 prior to this upgrade, you can contact LECTRIC and request an upgrade kit. I think July 31 is the deadline to request.
Good call man! Was REALLY cool that they offered this to pervious buyers. 👍
Thank you for the review. I have a curious question, What is the size of the seat post( diameter ), and did you have to use a shim? I am getting mine delivered on Friday. Thank you in advance.
Here is the link to the adapter ~ I'll put it in my description! Good call
amzn.to/3YaM9cI
Size: 27.2mm-31.8mm
@@Dlo_BestLife thank you.
Oh man glad I found this. I called lectric today won’t get mine until mid/late august 😞
When did you order?
@@sunnycharacter Wednesday
ya mine took about 1 1/2 - 2 months to arrive, ive only had a chance to ride it once because the heat has just been to brutal but it was alot of fun
@@tylerlemaster Same here in CA. Been 110+ all week
@@tylerlemaster Too hot here too. Central Texas and it’s been triple digits for weeks, and looks like weeks more.
Is there a difference in pedaling between the Standard and the Step-thru?? I know the Step-thru pedals are lower. If there is a difference, which is better?
Good question but I've only tested the Step Thru ~ Check EBikes Escape! they did a side by side
Which do you prefer, the Aventon Aventure or Lextric XP 3.0?
The XP 3.0 is more comfortable to ride, especially long distances. The XP is also much smoother & more responsive. I do miss that crazy high end power but I've had NO issues climbing all the same hills. Especially some very aggressive ones in town. Overall, for a Cruiser, you just can't beat the XP in my experience. I hope that helps
Thanks for review wish you would get to the point how much it cost how fast it go how far will I go
I have part 2 & 3 that cover the speed & range. 👍
I'm so excited..my xp3.0 is coming in the next few weeks..how is it riding without the motor on..is it hard? Hope u do a range test..thanks
You gotta have it in PAS 1 or its very hard to ride :)
I'll do a Range Test and Post it this weekend
Didnt get a long enough ride ~ Ill try for THIS weekend!
Anybody figure out what Lectric PWR is? The site description is vague
Fair question! All I know is the version WITH the update so I have no comparison to the original. If anyone knows, PLEASE comment:)
why did you buy the 27.2 mm - 31.8 mm seat post shim?
EBike Escapes mentioned that shim and I bought it and it worked perfect 👍
Question: Can you remove the key from the battery while riding or is that key get locked in place? I would be worried that if the bike tipped over or if I were to fall with the bike that the key might snap off in the battery and couldn't be removed. Thanks.
It's my understanding that the key stays in, but it's very short and is locked in position. I hope that answers the question :)
@@Dlo_BestLife Thanks for the reply. I guess they haven't changed that key thing from the original XP I bought years ago to the 3.0. I was hoping they made it so the key wouldn't be able to snap off in case of a crash.
@@johnl.8616 Doesn't appear they changed that
I just got one of these. But on mine, there is a huge jump from PAS1 to PAS2. From 2 on, there really isn't all that much difference. It's gradual like you'd expect. But that jump from 1 to 2 makes it kind of difficult to control on the desert mountain trails I've had it on.
Anyone else have this?
I don't have that issue, I wonder if its a Program thing?
I received my 3.0 XP step thru long range with hydraulic brakes today and the first thing i noticed is the rims diameter is skinnier than my 2.0 XP? Is that normal?? tire it says 3.0 but the rims diameter is 2.1/2. Look goofy to me😂
I noticed that also but the ride is still solid
Hi, can you share links to it? Thx
I posted it in the description :) Just updated the link today with the model I purchased
Why did the magic mirror not fit?
The small adapter was too small and the large was too large. Maybe I just didn't understand but the one I got was VERY easy & I actually like it better.
Is it water proof like can you wash it down with a water hose or ride in the rain
I read an article I'll link for you from Lectric on this :)

I was going to get this bike, went with Vitilan E bike instead, 33MPH and 65nm torque 750watt motor 1000watt peak.
I was looking at that but customer service was an issue with Vitilan so I went with a US company. That bike looked VERY cool though
Google “lectric problems” and you will find 9 pages of complaints with the BBB with poor customer service being a common theme. They might as well be in China.
@@jfly2249 My father-in-law & a close friend each had had some very good experiences with Lectric so I had real in person knowledge that made me feel better. 👍
That’s the why I’m going I think. With Vitilan
I just ordered mine but I leave for collage on August 15 do you think I’ll be here by then?
Yes, they’re pretty quick
I think your odds are good man 👍
I don't want to burst your bubble but I ordered mine on May 22nd and I'm still waiting.
I got mine in like 3 days I’m from Texas
@@cesarrosas2122 lol I don't think so
I got the XP lite I don't like that 300 watt motor they should make a stronger motor
Yea, That's why I went with the 3.0 ~ Lite seemed too weak for my needs/hills in the area.
Have fun going 20 mph. How about the vitilyn and I'm going 33
To be clear, this goes 28mph in class 3 mode 👍
My chain keep clicking making an loud noise everytime i peddal but the chain hasnt slipped so its got something to do with the gears right?Only had the bike 2 wks.
@@CityfrontDoorStaff I'd check with a bike shop. Sounds like an adjustment is needed
Takes a long time to receive the bike after you make your purchase. Over a month now, paid the credit card company, no bikes.
I ordered mine in May and got it in July. They are still back logged due to the updates 👍
@@Dlo_BestLife thank you real
I would hate to think maybe we both got a DUD.
It’s their new controller
@user-ei1po7ml2g if it'd the controller, then are they fixing the problem? are they shipping us replacement ones
Are they even aware of this?
He should have shown us how it rides.
Don't have a GoPro. Just a casual first impression video after my first ride. 👍
Vakole C020 is dual motor clone of that and it is beter opion.
Not familiar with that bike :) Hope its great
I love Lectric because I can pass them pretty easily on my skateboard. Current score: Meepo 5, Lectric 0
Glad your enjoying your board man 👍
@@Dlo_BestLife Hell yeah bro! I've had my Meepo mini 2 ER for over 3 years now and it still runs like a champ. I do think Lectric xp has the best value for Ebikes, but I just can't justify buying anything that only goes 28 mph when my board only cost $600. With the 100mm pu sleeves and adjusted wheel speed, I can get a top speed of 32mph. Once going downhill, I clocked 40mph! It scared the crap out of me. Tbh , I think the Onyx RCR is still the best Ebike with pedal assist. So expensive though. I would love to have a Talaria xxx for $3000 but it's not even legal, and I don't think it's a good idea. Lol. I'm just waiting and watching.. I'll get an Ebike at some point, but I'm just not sure yet..
@@Dlo_BestLife I love the folding fat tire design of the Lectric xp for that price point, but I just wish it was a wee bit faster. If it could go over 35-40 mph , I probably would've bought one already👍
@@darthphaser2991 Yea, there are other options around $1300 that can get over 30mph
I don't know why they call it long-range if that doesn't have a 20 amp battery it's not long range
They probably are just separating the regulars smaller battery vs the "Long Range" which honestly is a more standard battery. To be honest, I never ride more than 25-30 miles so the Long Range is more than enough. My average rise is 15miles.
Hydraulic brakes are called NUTT Brakes.
Thank you Sir!
Will it go up a hill? What is the torque rating.
Do more research.
It goes up every hill with no problem in my 50 miles of riding. The new motor has 55nm of torque. I'm not a reviewer so I reserve the right to share or not share whatever I want. But Thank You for the concern 👍
@@Dlo_BestLife good answer.
Takes to long to get it thumbs down!
Its because of the updates. Normally they are fast :) But I have no skin in the game
looks cheap
Rides very nice. Similar to my wifes Rad Power Bike.
@@Dlo_BestLife my euy s4 beats it
