Yes, that’s right. You also have a third species of ptarmigan - the white tailed - that we don’t have here in Norway. Would be cool to photograph them one day!
Stumbled across your channel a few weeks ago. I hope the notorious UA-cam algorithm gives you the success your video's deserve. Beautiful images and video.
This was an absolute pleasure watching you encounter those elusive beautiful birds blending in perfectly in their environment. You're a talented photographer and I predict a very successful future in your photography adventure. Keep up the good work and thank you for sharing your beautiful work with us. Cheers from Canada.
Don't know when I've enjoyed a bird video more, Tobias. I especially liked that shot of 13 ptarmigan in a row. I picked up that black eye and beak immediately but had to go back and look closely to make out the body. Seeing all those beaks and eyes lines up was comical. That shot would make a fun wall hanger. I liked your slo mo shots of BIF, too. Altogether, an exceptionally well make video. BTW, I admired your skill on the skis when you crossed that fence.
You created a very nice piece of work on wildlife photography which I enjoyed watching very much. I have subscribed your channel and wish to watch more of your wonderful works in the future.
Wow, great video! No joke, this might be the most encouraging video I‘ve watched for a long time. Thanks for sharing, really enjoyed your journey. 😊👍🏻 subscribed!
Dette er nok noe av det råeste jeg har sett på YT på ganske lang tid Tobias. Jeg har sett ganske mye rype og ganske mange opptak av rype, men dette var top notch. Hats off. Slår mye av det jeg har sett av de mer etablerte kollegene dine langt ned i støvlene vil jeg si. Tommel opp umiddelbart og hilsen fra Kongsberg.
Amazing work you’re doing there! I was surprised to see this is only your second upload, the quality of your production makes it look like you’re a hardened UA-camr! Keep it up, I’m looking forward to the next ones 🤩 Greetings from up north in Tromsø!
Thanks! The autofocus did a decent job I would say. With a dark beak and eye, it had something contrasty to easily lock onto. But I ended up using quite a bit of single point af to get the focus away from the trees and bushes
Great shots! I'm hoping to visit Norway next winter and your videos so far get me excited. Have you had any problems with autofocus using both the EF-R adapter and 2X extender?
Love the Ptarmigan images.
Thank you!
Another wonderful video! Thank-YOU Tobias! 😄
My pleasure! Glad you enjoyed it!
Beautiful photography. 👌
Thanks!
Great video and pictures. The snowy landscape is splendid and the birds are beautiful : it's seems there is some magic in the photos !

We have willow ptarmigans and rocky ptarmigans I believe here in NWT Canada

Wow…the white balance is amazing, was it on auto?….beautiful captures, loved the eight eyes capture.
Thanks a lot! The wb was on cloudy, and is corrected in post
Another great video and images to go with, Tobias.

I agree. Excellent content. Some could be the best wildlife photog but lousy at making & putting a video together. Great work.
Great vid!
Thanks so much! I really appreciate that!
Amazing photo’s of the ptarmigans in the snow👍 How did the autofocus pick them up?

Thanks a lot! No, I have not had any focusing issues with this combination, at least so far
