Thank you for publishing content of such quality so regularly. Also noted how you improved your snooker skills over the years. Perhaps one day we'll see you in the professional snooker 😁 ❤️ From Mussa in Oral, Kazakhstan 🇰🇿
Suggestion, when it comes to awkward left handed shots for you to recreate like judds green, just mirror the table and play off the yellow and place the reds on the right hand side of the black, it's all the same
i think he addressed this once... dont remember, but i think he said he wanted to keep it real... but in my opinion, your right... it would only make it fair...
Time for new cloth... 2 reasons. 1: Faster cloth. 2: The wear lines either side of black to pocket are somewhat apparent. On that note, curious to know if there's is a noticeable difference in friction right on that line compared to when black has moved off the spot to pocket wear line. Long time watchwr from Hamilton, New Zealand 🇳🇿
I think you should mirror the table for left handed shots. A right handed player wouldn't even attempt to play them and it's basically a different shot to the one that was originally played by the left hander
Ga 'day mate, monumental effort again Quinten.. Baize change and brighter lights fella and your black spot looks higher than original shots ??? Bonza chief 👍🎱
I think, my country doesn't have a pin on your map, so greatings from Yerevan Armenia. Hopefully one day I will reach half of your playing skill as an enthusiast. You really inspire me to continue playing snooker!
Ricky Walden there with the Cliff Thorburn yellow...which only shows just how brilliant a shot that was from Cliff at the time! The man had ice running through his veins..
@@Breakfromlife Are you thinking about perhaps Hainsworth Precision cloth? From what I've read it seems the fastest. I have Strachan no. 10 on my table and it is no where near as fast as what the professionals play on even though its the same cloth. Townsville, Australia
@@jonwilson6077 Trouble with no10 ,it’s fast at first but slows off quickly ,it’s only really designed to be used for short periods ,it’s very stable and fast for a few weeks it’s crap after a re stretch .Hainsworth precision is too fast with very little grip ,most people I know that have precision fitted don’t have it again ,it also wears out very very fast ..Strachen super fine and Hainsworth match are both great for speed and some sort of durability ,I have the match on now ,it’s very fast and responsive ,both these cloths don’t need restretching if fitted properly and should last 18 months in a private house .6811 tournament is a compromise between speed and durability ,trouble with the 6811 is there seems to be too much variation between batches, one may good and fast another could be slow ,it also plays better and faster after it’s stretch .I think it’s the 6811 that break from life has on .If you keep your room at 21 degrees match and superfine will run nice and fast without table heaters .
I really wish you had a wireless mic for the segments where you're speaking at the table. The constant change in quality and volume is a bit off putting. Great video regardless.
I don't know if you work or if this is your job but have you ever considered doing a road to q school series I think that would be quality content but I know it takes a lot of time to get to a competitive level
The only pause on backswing longer than McManus! Great stuff once again. From a temporary visitor to Abuja, Nigeria (don't ask) if that merits a pin on the map
Incredible video, loved it! You are too harsh on yourself with the “recreation scores”, most deserve a 9/10 at least. Also, for the leftie shots you should mirror the table I think, would be more representative of the skill involved. Would love to see you on tour one day, you are defnitely on par with most of the “numpties”!
Completely agree, especially the one by Ryan Day, I couldn't believe he only evaluated as 7/10. My initial thought was 10/10, but hitting the last cuchion below the pocket should maybe bring it down to a 9.
Tshanga Godfrey From Venda Limpopo South Africa. Can you tell me more on how to control your emotions not to affect your game while in much pressure. Any tips?
Surely you're a big enough channel now to get some sponsors for a nice new heated table, no? Wanna manager? :)) You got a lot of them pretty quickly as well, bravo!
Why don't you play the lefthanded shots mirrored? For instance the one-handed MJW shot, would probably've been more "accurate" if you'd played it mirrored with your right hand. Even when Jimmy and Ronnie is doing re-creations on Eurosport they mirror to be able to play with their strong hand...
Why do you always pull/swing your cue up after each shot? I was always taught to stay down on the shot even after the ball has gone. Just asking for advice from anyone.
I once pot a long red just like Trump did, the difference is my cue ball stop for black (his cue ball come back). Maybe I don't give it enough power? I'm super newbie to snooker and still improving myself. Even so, I feel really proud of that shot as I inspired it from him...... but then I missed a simple straight black pot. LOL I'm so furious after that! HAHA
How many of these shots are made possible by the professional heated tables and reactive cloth? Club tables are cold and have shag pile carpet for cloth.
Not sure if this will help much or not, but it looks to me that when the pros do the long screw shots, that their mechanics are actually closer to the mechanics used for a break shot in pool. If you watch Judd's shot, his cue is actually far from level before actually striking through the ball. What I believe is happening is that, like a pool break shot, they are actually aiming to drive their tip into the cloth before the cue ball, however by throwing their body into the shot, it lowers the angle of the back hand and thus the tip ends up going straight through the cue ball. I think if you were to add this, you would likely be able to at least come fairly close, even considering the table speed.
Just play it left handed. You are recreating it after all. Your table speed is not far off, give it a good iron to take up all the moisture. The room needs to be 21 Deg c and slate bed heaters.
I'm sure in a world championship that Mark Williams won, he played at least one shot with his eyes closed (if it hasn't became a meme on twitter or something like that I'll be surprised ) can you recreate that??
Why didn’t you mirror the balls on shot g? Red balls on the other side of the black. And pot the yellow (you could put the green there) so you could play it without the rest….?!
You are an amazing potter. But maybe there is a reason you can't get position on those ridiculous shots. They're world class beasts, so don't do yourself down.
I've noticed you so regularly say you don't have the cue power for the long screw back shots from distance. I'm not convinced that's the case at all. After watching lots of your videos it kind of looks like you convince yourself that you can't do it and concentrate so much on trying to brute force it with physical power then your technique becomes somewhat iffy. I'd be willing to bet that if you found the maximum power where you still have clean cueing and more importantly, close to perfect timing, then gradually try to add a little bit more power you'd be able to knock those shots out the park. I'm only a little fella and have the fitness of a 200 year old sloth but apparently have "tons of cue power". Pretty sure it's because I've spent most of my time playing 8ball and 9ball and got some coaching to work on my break. Once I stopped trying to overmuscle it, got the most out of my wrist and played it only as hard as I could control it, it magically came together. I mean you have about 45000x times my talent, so I am absolutely 1000000% sure that if I can do it, you most certainly can! Probably being a clueless backseat driver, but hope it helps anyway. Edit: if you haven't tried them yet, some of the super soft cue tips used by pool players make gripping the cue ball exponentially easier. Kamikaze ss, or kamui are pretty OP.
For the shot when you are playing shots that are more difficult for a right handed player and require you to use the rest, why don't you just set the balls up mirrored?
Hy brother if u want to make a good long screw back or a banana shot then polish the balls with any car polish and then clean with soft cloth then check the result u will be amazed m damn sure will wait for your ans
7:17 Is no one going to talk about how insane that cue action off of THREE jaws was?
I will that was close one twice! 😊
"Good news everybody, time for another Judd Trump shot that's virtually unplayable"
