Hey Al, Great to see you up and running. Great antenna and that's going to do well jumping the Pond. Thanks for the video and I will be listening for you on the bounce. Give Henry a pat and hope all is well. States are running well some days. It is getting ready to Jump and starting to work as it did the past few years. Cheers Drew NY202 USA
Thanks bud, ive been doing videos weekly when I've got time, so i don't know if you have been keeping up with my shinanigans lol. Antenna certainly looking like it's working better away from the building, so Im looking forward to hearing you soon Drew. All the best.
Well there you go, I'm sure you would make it into a few of them from your perch. All the best bud and hoping to be trying out Di-pole in New position into TC net on Sat👍🏻
HI AL great to hear that you're dipole is picking up better, let's hope for you it works out the other way round, thanks for letting us know that you are going live on the 20th mate, looking forward to it miss the last one, Anyway your not the only one who getting that noise coming and going on the 555. And today Friday it's starting to pick up a bit , so hopefully this'll weekend and next week, with the weather getting better as well, Maybe thing's are going to happening for us RADIO Have a great time with your family, and you never know if that skip roll's in we have a good chat, if you see on the 20th sep. ALAN CT26/. 48/70. 73s .🍻💯🇬🇧👍
Hey bud , yep conditions are really all over the place and I'm trying to grab time on the radio, oh and as a note Al i have made a contact as far down south east to Southend on Sea , I'm not sure how far you are from me but will check on the map, lets hope conditions pick up all round. have a great weekend 🙂
@@Al.26TC101 yes AL I'm basically about 5 miles from Dunstable Leighton buzzard , which is probably about nearly 20 miles closer to you from that copy, have a great time with your family, and hope very soon to actually speak properly to you mate, 73s 💯🍻👍
Hello Al, its been a while since i commented... Nothing at all wrong with shorter videos you know... Its all about quality not quantity. I may get myself up in the Shropshire hills this weekend. Hopefully we'll have a lil chinwag :) 73 brother.
Hey bud no worries and hope all is good in your world, yeah I do enjoy watching longer videos myself, but I normally chill out with you tube and don't watch TV. Be great to hear you on Sat, Di-pole is doing well now we pushed it out further. All the best bud👍🏻🍺
Cheers buddy , The eyeball was great fun although I had to stay sober LOL and apart from conditions being up and down like a yo-yo, I'm getting good reports from most I speak to. Hope you have a good weekend.
I've always said it , The humble dipole at the same height as any other vertical CB antenna is going to perform equally or more than likely better than other designs . All the others use some sort of matching coil which adds to losses , verticals are noisier too .A dipole is a balanced antenna and the weakest link is the coax . Taking it one step further would be to feed the dipole with 450ohm ladder line and a 4:1 transformer ,, The losses would be absolute minimal ,, and the antenna system would be fully balanced , it's food for thought ,,, I have a ladder line fed dipole for 11 meters , it's phenomenal
Nice and thanks for the info, I use Ultraflex 7 Coax which is expensive, but in my opinion, the best coax out there, I had a contact with Chile last year and the station who I had the QSO said that a di-pole its natures best antenna, I get what he meant, but yes out of all the things I've tried here, it works really well not just on DX but locally as well, the more I experiment it seems the better it gets and i just use logic and thought process. Cheers
Hi Al may catch you from home now ? My antenna has gone up another 10ft made big difference, was worried as we had that storm today 55 -60 mph winds but it’s still up there ! All the best
Cheers bud well keep your ears open for me, it's not made a massive difference, but defiantly there is a difference locally, DX is a difficult one to see if its made a difference as conditions can change. have a good weekend bud , ill be calling into TC net tomorrow and that will be interesting to see if much has changed.
Keep up good work it's nice c haw radio is go keep up good work 👍 👌
Cheers, Its a great hobby and I enjoy it alot 👍🏻
