Yeah I bought it at launch (sold last year) and I played Cyberpunk more than anything else. I think the series x hardware is awesome but the library, ugh. I thought that a few games are "awesome but not my style," like Forza Motorsport. So maybe other people are having more fun. I'm having more fun on my RTX 3060 laptop now. Even a budget PC like this is twice as expensive as the series x though, which is why I strongly prefer consoles. Just b/c I have the money, doesn't mean I want to spend it lol :D I'd rather spend the extra money that I spent on my laptop on my mortgage haha.
Also have iPad Pro 6th gen & iPhone 15 pro max with the backbone/ external controller with GeForce now & cloud gaming and also steam link so if I ever leave my devices or consoles I practically have them still😅 all get more use than my Xbox I’ve say everyday I’m going to sell it but can’t get the balls because watch Microsoft drop a game I want to play on it 🤣

i'm planning on a series x purchase to ensure i have a disk version console and start hunting down any physical games although the possibility of a game catalog in the cloud isnt totally far off -i notice any physical copy has updates that are cloud based anyways
Many games don't need those updates to be playable though, so if something happens, you should be fine.
Weird opinion, but I think a "xbox" branded prebuilt pc would be interesting. Xbox already has the design lab, imagine being able to build your own custom "xbox" pc through it. Anyone else think that would be a good addition? It seems like a good way to stay competitive in the market imo.
If they can copy the blade system u.i of the very 1st xbox 360, I'm for it. The transformer sounds when navigating through tabs was amazing 😂

The cloud works great for me. I'm also using 1gb internet, uncapped. But prior I was at 600 and it was still good. Just upgraded to be able to stream better

They already announced this morning it ( cod black ops) WILL BE on gamepass. I can guarantee you they will have a premium upgrade for 40 or 50 for gamepass members like they did with starfield and forza
I will only buy a new mid gen Xbox if it's more powerful then the series x, but if it's not and it's just then same Xbox without a drive disk, then I'm not buying

I've been ultimate gamepasser for years. I'd move up to a higher tier if I get the ABK stuff but 25 a month is my ceiling. Anything over that is too high

Only thing I'm praying for is the xbox handheld that plays all my series S games. Really wish they would make something like PlayStation Home for a unified social platform, but I know the reason why nothing like that exists is because they're afraid of illegal activity.

IMO, it depends on if you like high-end graphics. I know a lot of people don't (not being sarcastic). I enjoyed the series X b/c I always use graphics mode over performance mode. In the games that I played on series x, the graphics modes looked substantially better. Plus, I have a large blu-ray collection and it's nice to have that disc drive. My 2 cents. cheers.

I own a Series X and a Rog Ally for PC games and switch. If Microsoft releases a handheld console, I'll totally buy one
I’ve always leaned more towards Handheld gaming on a dedicated device especially my first ever gaming experience being on the original Gameboy when I was 5 so I would be intrigued by an Xbox Handheld and if typical native play without the internet using physical games can’t be achieved on it then perhaps the SSD Expansion Card used for the Xbox Series X/S could be used for it instead as a form of physical gaming but with multiple games on it to play single player games natively without needing the internet so it can be just as portable as other handhelds
If xbox does a separate gp level for Activision, those ppl should also get to play early just like ppl that pre order
I mean the Xbox ui thing isn't really all that different then what we already see in games that have their own friend lists. It's likely going to be fairly similar to Playstations PC approach with their overlay.

People need to accept that the next generation of hardware is most likely going to be the last generation of hardware. The Xbox platform isn’t the hardware anymore, it’s Game Pass. Your games will always be safe, but Xbox is going to move you to an all-digital world kicking and screaming.

I'm not up for COD. I bought MWII last year and discovered that it's not the game for me. Turns out that Helldivers 2 is such a blast that I bought a new PC just to play it. Will I keep gamepass? I just don't know at this point.

Cloud based is a bad thing. It means that we will make the quality for convenience trade off again. You are not going to get 4K 120hz, Dolby Vision with VRR with cloud gaming what you will get is XBOX one, PS4 quality at best.

You can sell your account with it, if you have a good seller rating & people trust you. The value of your games will be far lower, but the value of the console will be higher then without games.

Really I think they should do a way with the series s and just start making the series x with disc and digital. Xbox streaming is trash. I've tried console streaming from my SX and my PS5 on my phone and only my ps is playable. Cloud streaming is even worse. They need to stop pushing something that doesn't even work yet

I agree it's trash. Because I have really good internet and when I stream on PlayStation it's smooth as hell no problems. When I stream on Xbox it's pretty normal for it to not work at all.
@lanceparrish8352 you will need 5G internet and your download speed need to be at least 100-1000 mbps and then again it's actually not smooth like ps5, tho

I honestly don't see why anyone would want to bother getting a new Xbox now they are putting more games on other consoles because if I was a die hard Xbox player I would just buy a PlayStation and have the best of both without buying two consoles
if all of your games are on Xbox One and Series X, it is nice to not buy the same games over and over (see PS5 for reference)
Even if all the games were to go to PS (they won't), it'd still be wise to have an Xbox or PC, mainly because of day and date and not having to pay full price for new games (especially if you have a library already), PS are doing the same, PC, mobile etc.
