    I think a majority of Xiaomi's success was from their "budget" to mid-range phones especially in the third-world countries here, the flagships were just a part of their lineup until people started realizing how good they were relative to their pricing.

    Now I've added the new Asus zenfone 9 to the collection and I absolutely love the Zenfone as a phone, but picturewise whilst using pro mode and GCam mod, the Xiaomi Mi 9T pro gives a way better result, no matter whether it's bright and sunny outside, or whether it's pitch black night, the GCam mod just somehow exceeds the other phones by so big difference that one should think it's not possible... So I will definitely recommend that people use the GCam mod to their phones!! 👌

    Nice one, but I was missing the Mi Mix phones. I understand that they are not the flagship phones, but these always had a neat design tweak to them. The first Mi Mix influenced the design of every other smartphone maker after that

    • @arcsephiroth
      @arcsephiroth Рік тому +1

      Dude Mi Mix lineup was their most premium phones and most expensive. When their regular Mi flagship prices caught up with mix lineup, they abandoned mix. Just check the built quality, Innovation, internals on a Mi Mix series to their flagships on the same year basis. You will find Mix series is ridiculously premium even compared to apple and Samsungs of those times. I mean Apple and Samsungs were plastics and glass while Mix series was ceramics.

    What worked for xiaomi was giving options to users to turn off ads, letting them use custom roms while giving warranty ( if your phone gets bricked while flashing new rom, you can still claim warranty), no paid ads or billboards(creating hype using social media which is free), no actors to take royalty and keeping less than 5% margins.

I still have a redmi3 sitting in a drawer, which I just turned on and it still has 50% battery state of charge. It was a great little phone for its time. i loved xiaomi for a year when i first got a phone from them as they are expanding to Eastern Europe now. Cheap (comparatively) phone that works great and has great specs. then i got a xiaomi high end robot cleaner and also love it to this day (will start it after i write this comment as apartment is kind of dirty :D ) but then i got their wifi extender last month and its not good... 5ghz is not working with my connection at all (spent 2 days trying to fix it with every solution i can think of and any solution i could find on the internet). i love that their products offer smart home solutions to lower middleclass people like me( as the price to quality is very good) i will still buy xiaomi products and actually prefer them over some more known tech companies as i know for now im not paying for a brand name im paying for product. even though i had a bad experience with one of their products i will keep buying them because even the bad product is working and im using it and it wasnt so expensive that i would be devastated
