Vehicle has custom gearbox with front helical LSD, 4.44 diffs, 1.59 low range, DCCD and rear locking differential.

Equally impressive is how easy the Falcon wagon did it with 2WD and a locker.
Very impressive Dedman.
especially how little effort was needed from the engine to pass this section compared to unlocked
congrats
The lack of lockers was there reason I ditched my Forester after years of trying to convince myself it was a good offroader.
You just fly over those axle twister with the rear locked ! Very impressive ! And nice rumble btw
Yep, got to love the sound of a completely buggered exhaust!
The Mighty Falcon
😎👍👍👍👍👍
very impressive!
Who can you go through for the locker? Thanks!
I found a 2006 forester xt for $6K in good shape. Is that too much money?
Depends where you are. Mine was 3k about 3 years ago but not in great condition. This was pre covid era with its inflated prices...
how does the rear air locker compare to a clutch type rear diff, like a Cusco? like center diff locked and a Cusco rear diff, would it crawl 80% the same as air lock rear?
Any answers lol
Is there a 2 inch lift on the red SG Forester? If so, manufactured by who? By the way, nice video as always. Thanks.
The SG has around 2 inch of lift thanks to some hotbit coilovers. I believe the subframe was dropped using some SubieLiftOz gear as well. If you want a lift check out SubieLiftOz.
Thanks for the reply. Looks like something you can daily drive and also take on occasional excursions...
Sure is. Admittedly all cars in the video are dailys
What kind of lockers you guys running? You have a center diff lock as well?
in the first two cars, was that the front diff locked only?
also, can one make a front diff lock and rear locker for off road at the same time?
All cars have an open front diff. The second car is 2wd so has no front diff. To date, no one has worked out a selectable locker for the front of a Subaru.
I believe cusco makes a front LSD but not a full locker.
@@enzo-ez4fd yes Cusco make a good front LSD but it's not a locker. The red Subaru in my latest videos has the Cusco front LSD
Are those manaul transmissions or is it an automatic?
Ford is an auto. Rest are manuals.
OK, so where can I buy a locker for my 01 Forester??
See the video description. You can not just "buy" one.
@@SubaruOffRoad That's the problem! Someone needs to start manufacturing one. I hear one is being developed, we'll see.
Auto Locker will be available soon, see power for your brain channel.
Locker now available at subieliftoz and Anderson design fabrication
@@Hirdse They are nowhere near as good.
