      I agree with you 100%!🙌🏻 I like to believe we all do our best regarding “preventative maintenance” (at least in this community). Ironically, docs are so quick to arbitrarily put people on meds that end up causing so many other issues now and in the future. Good for you for standing up for yourself! As a 15 year Paramedic, I’ve always been taught to start out with the least invasive measure and progress to most invasive after continuously reassessing any positive/ negative feedback. Stay strong 💪

      My doctor also told me that my cholestrol is too high. I am trying to lower my blood sugar through diet, fasting and exercise, so I told my doctor, will this also help to lower my high cholestrol? She said yes. So I didn't get any medication.

      @@askfaisalmuslim nailed it! Idk why docs have to be all weird and cryptic at times. Instead of resorting to potentially harmful meds as a knee jerk reaction, they could easily request you do quarterly bloodwork to see what how your diet/ exercise regiment is impacting your lab work. Everyone is different and it would be great if they avoided a “one size fits all” medication protocol.

      41 keen runner and told that mine was high last year too. 4 months of taking statins and started to wake up with muscle pain in my legs that stopped me and caused achilles injury. Decided to come off them curious to see if they may have caused it and after physio and 3 months I'm nearly back to strength.

      Carbs are not the enemy either. Nutrition influencer culture has gotten to point of demonizing this food/macro/micro or that food. It’s about your diet as a whole. Do you eat too many calories in relation to your activity and lean mass? Be honest. What’s your fitness level? Does your fitness level justify your intake of simple carbs? What’s your consumption of saturated fat vs seed oils vs fatty fish/cruciferous veggies/nuts like. What’s your protein intake like? Do you often crave? What’s your intake of fruits and veggies like? These are questions that need to be asked

    I never thought of it that way, but now that you put it that way, it makes a lot of sense. Doctors still have people cutting out cholesterol but once the cholesterol starts plaquing, the doctor treats it like it's eating too much cholesterol as the cause. Doctors never get to the root cause of a problem but instead, suppress and mask the symptoms with pharmaceuticals and other prescriptions/treatments/surgeries.

    • @beedebawng2556
      @beedebawng2556 3 роки тому +9

      Of course they don't. The institutions they were admitted into never filtered for the cognitive skills needed to excel at problem solving.
      It's all about memorisation and regurgitation. These days the requirements are even less stringent. You punch in information into a computer and it tell you what pharma concoctions to test out on a patient.
      So, essentially what you've got for the most part nowadays are good order takers of big pharma dictates, pretending to be an authority on the body when they actually know little to nothing about the body beyond the nomenclature they were forced to memorise and regurgitate.

      Probably poor advice, but did she say WHY you needed 3 meals a day? Push her. Then weigh her “advice”. You probably have much more knowledge as to why fasting is beneficial than she does for saying eat 3 times a day. Eating 3 times a day with no snacking at all, if you are at your perfect weight, may not be a bad thing. Periodically fasting though is good for everyone.

    On other words, cut down on foods that causes inflammation so that your cholesterol won’t have to try and compensate by patching up the inflamed areas within the arteries , and eventually blocking them off. I heard that fish oil and cyanne peppers 🌶️ will keep your arteries clear. I make own cyanne pepper capsules and take them daily.

Looked up side effects for this and sore joints were right up there. Major pains after i took a fall as well. I took myself off it. Took a couple weeks to feel better. That's it. I was put on statins for heart arrhythmia that I've had all my life, I don't have hi cholesterol but I do now have tinnitus forgetfulness and brain shrinkage (2 hat sizes smaller) and my skin has got super wrinkly s all the collagen has vanished. I also have blood thinners even though I have bruises and BP goes down to 50 sometimes. I still have arrhythmias since age 17 (had a motorcycle accident at 16 and died and came back). But I don't have hi cholesterol.
      I think they just write out a 'heart failure' script and wave bye bye. I've had 3 more episodes and my heart has had damage every time, necrosis hormone troponine excreted for dead tissue, but I still have no plaque or atherosclerosis. So after three years I want to come off the ten meds I take a day, but I get the label 'non compliant and they can send people to make sure I take them. Amazing how many civil liberties are lost when you become over 70.

My cardiologist has never not one time told me anything the way Dr. Berg has. She did ask about my diet a couple times but no matter what she put me on cholesterol medication along with medication for my SVT. So, what we eat, drink determines how much hdl turns into ldl while it’s in the liver. Thank you so much for informing us!

So basically no processed carbs, or sugar ( most processed foods ) and only occasional fructose that is in a little bit of fruit on occasion. ( although Berries are ok on a regular basis ) . Basically don’t eat anything with a label unless you absolutely have to. ( then adjust so you don’t have to in the future .). And remember,… all food labels are WARNING LABELS. Example: orange = ok,… orange juice ( now has a label ) NOT ok. ( no fiber = huge glycemic load ). Good to lookup zDr Robert (Rob) Lustig. Especially his takes about sugar/carbs and what the high Insulin response does to the mitochondria in your cells. He explains that you are your cells, and your goals is to make the conditions for them to be their healthiest,… most of our diet is basically killing the mitochondria in our cells. Cholesterol is vitamin D, and we've seen that in our times, it is lacking like crazy.
    Cholesterol is fat, and people demonize it following the mass without thinking with logic.
    Eating good quality fats with protein will not only boost vitamin D production, but it will also help lower chronic inflammation build ups that cause everybody's weight gain.
    Is it that hard for y'all?

    You could have the best cholesterol dr. Berg however you still could die of a heart attack the reason being is that your C-reactive protein is so high so you should get that tested along with your vitamin D and I can guarantee you that there is a correlation between the two as soon as you take about 5,000 mg of vitamin D3 with K2 your C-reactive protein will go down very fast in one month that's what happened to me it was so high but my cholesterol was so great and so the doctor says yeah I agree with you if you see reactive is too high that means you're low on vitamin D3 as soon as you get that down your inflammation will be down and that put me in a better position

    • @GraceDollesin
      @GraceDollesin Рік тому

      Yes! Research vitamin k2 or eat natto (fermented soya beans) from Japan. There’s a special bacteria in that fermented soya beans called nattokinase that eats up fibrin(blood clotting ) and cleans up arteries. Look it up! I drink fermented garlic everyday. I boil water and fill up my small thermos and I put few slices of fresh garlic and drink the fermented garlic throughout the day. It’s good for cleaning veins and heart.
