Whether it being the paths leading to and fro, where you hiked in from, proximity to possible danger areas, or even where the nearest Auto Zone might be. These small details make the videos so much more relatable for me. I wish more youtubers in you genre spent more time on this like you do. Keep doing what you like to do!

Nice video. I get poison ivy rashes easy myself., I use Blue Dawn dishwashing liquid in the shower if I’ve been around it. And now all the time. Dawn cleans away the oils of the plants. I found that out on UA-cam.

Hey, whenever we hike, I bring apple cider vinegar. After hike, before we even get in the car, wipe the exposed skin generously with the vinegar. So far it's prevented the poison ivy. Just a suggestion. Great vid, we are all enjoying it!

Great stuff as usual. I always tune in for videos that have bad weather or unique situations. You’re stint of get out and goes I bet have really smoothed out your operational ease. I’d have you on my survival throw camp team anytime. I have gotten a Snugpak Patrol Poncho that you might look at as it is sized with a pleated and lengthen back to go over your pack. However it also has sleeves but something to consider. I have a USGI also. I’m not doing the swagman roll, despite how nice they are. I also have 3 tarps by that company GOLD ARMOUR. And a DD Tarp. I did also get the Arcturus Survival tarp and am fixing a used Modern Improved Combat Shelter. It is a great pack you’ve got there.....some sweet hoe gear ! And as always enjoy the civilized elements you employ to your camp....makes it a one man compound..in the middle of where you say it is. Good stuff.

Closed sides on the patrol poncho makes it look like a superior piece of rain gear.. I took interest after learning about bothy bags a few days ago, I think the pat-ponch will work. Usgi & ics both look sweet. It took me a long time to decide on a 1p shelter. wound up w/ big Agnes 3 wire bivy (never used stakes& sometimes don't use poles). I'm hoping between bothy& bivy bags, I'll have no set up times.lol

I know it could be a real pain in the neck. Did you catch the poison ivy hiking through those bushes on your last hiking trip where you got lost for a little bit? Really good and it's $5 at Walmart. Unless you mean the one I used to dug the fire pit in the video where I got lost? That one was $15, I found it at an antique mall. You can find similar ones on Amazon for $20 or so.
@@DIEmicrosoft Yeah I've had it for at least two years. I've only used it for digging cat holes, it's not substantial enough for a dakota firepit for example. Technically you could use one to do it, but it would be a huge pain. But that's what I like about cheap gear haha! If it breaks you just go buy another one. It's not a huge deal when you're just out overnight. When you're out for 5 days straight, that's a different story.

Poison ivy can become septic and debilitating if not treated quickly.

@@tag1462 The main reason I want to wait for hammock camping is because in the colder months I like to do more bushcraft style/tarp type camps.
