Excellent scooters ! I have the Fashion it's my daily driver !! been all the state of Az on the weekends I load up my camping gear and hit the road onto new adventures. Great gas mileage.
Going to look at not one but two Helixs tomorrow that have been sitting for years, and thanks to you and this excellent video, I can at least tell if the engine is seized or not. Thanks!

I have a 2004 helix and I wrench on my own machines. It amazes me how accurate a copy of the Helix that this CF Moto machine is. It looks like you got a great deal.

The rear brake must be pushed down before it will start!! Otherwise it just goes dim like that 😅

Just got one recently cleaned carb put new battery and plug it will try to turn over but nothing just dumps gas out the carb while starting
It's dumping gas out of the car because your float is still sticking inside the carburetor. You need to rebuild the carb or replace it you can't just clean it
The pedal is the safety start on the Helix. I didn't know the clone used the hand brake.

Just got a 2009 cf moto 250cc scooter for $400.00 it does run but will not stay running can you recommend a carb replacement ? Everything else works lights, brakes,

Nice! I would suggest cleaning the carb first and seeing if that solves the problem if not then I would replace the carb. Also once you get it running make sure to do a valve job if you replaced the car then it still doesn't run then I would do the valve job and then see if it runs.
The engine sounds good don’t think it needs a valve job it only has 10,000 miles it’s been sitting for a while just need carb replacement
@@tombstone2826 Those are tappet valves they need to be adjusted every 2000 miles. There should be no reason to replace the carb if you just clean it unless it still gives you problems afterwards which is pretty unlikely if you give it a good cleaning.
What do you think about getting a 99 helix for 2000 with 8500 miles🤔
God damn, that thing is nice. I’m jealous. Got a Helix over here with 45,000 miles and it’s got some issues that need addressing.

i just traded a cheap gy6 150 for a kymco gv 250 with 10k garage kept boy did i get a steal had a little problem with the carb buddy couldnt figure out 10 mins after we signed titles i found the problem seen the same one at a shop an hour away with 15k selling for 3000 so i got a steal

Sure if you disconnect I bet you can bypass it. But literally every fashion 250 or helix or elite 250 starts by pushing down on the brake. Makes no sense why they would change it in 07 when it’s been the same on helixes since they were made
