Thanks SO MUCH, Jack. I had to work in a damaged editing suite - caused by a spike when someone hit a pole during this winter storm and knocked out the power. So...your kind words about the production values of this one are music to my ears, buddy!

Greg have you recorded your piece to camera in your listening room differently for this vid?.. It immediately sounds different.. I've just switched from several of your most recent videos and it suggests a change! (a preference I might add)

Hello, my friend. Yes, I used a different micing system for this episode. Beginning with Episode 20 (E20: Amplifier Power) I have used the Sonic Presence SP15 stereo mic, its stereo pair draped over my ears, for close micing of my voice. The Røde boom mic I tried to that point was not terribly successful, it captured too much ambient room noise.
For this episode, I thought I would try the remarkable stereo mic I’ve settled on to capture in-room music recordings at shows and events, just to see how it might fare. The fact that you seem to feel that it offers superior performance to the close micing I’ve been doing has me considering making the change permanent.
Honestly, I was HOPING someone would comment on the matter, and I'm grateful that you did so... I'm curious for other opinions too...

I see the biamping of the 4 100 W mono block vac amplifiers. And recognizing it is a larger room but does this speak to those amplifiers not being enough for those speakers. 100w Mono block tube amplifier may not be suitable for a lot of speakers regardless of how well the power is delivered to the speaker.
I was considering vac for my amplification but then really wanted solid state delivery for the low end of my speakers and tube amplification for the upper speakers, and went that route for biamping. I think I've got something that sounds pretty good.

Hello again... So, I'm not sure how you missed this, but...the Signature 202iQ amps are "either" 100Wpc in stereo, or 200W Mono. See ua-cam.com/video/i0ITZKvJ2Qc/v-deo.htmlsi=DjLJvk-rFe0SGtMf&t=562 Also, as Leif says shortly after this segment started, they could EASILY use just one, in stereo, to drive the E-SEs. Don't focus on preconceptions about power. The VAC gear delivers with plenty of current... Thanks again.

    That's an Esoteric K1x, not K01
