A 15 minutes, step by step introduction to the process of building the world finest loudspeaker. - Наука та технологія
Hi 👋, very very nice, in search of perfection, Especially when it comes to making the perfect cup of coffee, 😂,
I am listening to this on my handbuilt, 40-year-old transmission line loudspeaker cabinets , I just recently updated the driver units and crossovers, SEAS , 150w , your music territorial, came across excellent, good sound quality, if I ever win the lottery, I will definitely consider a pair of these speakers, 🔊 cabinets, But first of all I would need to Repair my leaking roof, and turn my attic space into a very very large music room, which I think would be amazing, It is approximately 7 1/2 m in width and approximately 12 m in length, with a pitch height of just over 7 m , Thank you for uploading your territorial On, showing how you manufacture your cabinets they do look amazing,
70+ years young, retired living in a very old Moulin in France .
Good luck! That would be a dream to have as a audio hobby room.
Exceptional attention to detail at every step of the manufacturing process. That's why popular models like the S5 Mk2's rarely appear on the used market.
Best way to build a Magico speaker is to build a good relationship with your bank manager!
They are the ultimate! Beautiful, well crafted pieces! Thank you for sharing the “magic” of Magico!
I hope Alon is there to make me a coffee when I visit the factory!
Very nice video, bravo to the filmmakers. That's the best looking espresso I've ever seen... and camera work worthy of Babette's Feast. Fun to watch a build on the dead opposite end of the spectrum from my abilities, made more intriguing because I listen to 3 systems these days, one has Magico speakers, another has open baffle speakers I just made. The 2 speaker systems are more or less polar opposites yet both make great sound stages, both are very 'honest', both are fantastic. The Saga of Harrison Crabfeathers is a great tune, so well recorded, it has been my ground zero reference cut since I found it... and lastly, Bravo for putting in the part about sorting out the acoustics of your listening space. cheers.
Some of the best speakers made if you have very deep pockets. Love their design philosophy which contains no faery dust or foo nonsense, just technically very competently designed and built. As a speaker designer and small time manufacturer myself It’s as breath of fresh air to see a company like this👍
Says who?
Awesome designs. Great production.
Fantastique !
Every enjoyable video - thanks!
Great presentation. It must be very gratifying to work there, building such exacting products while enjoying exquisite espresso!
My dream speaker. Thanks for the video.
7:42 Beautiful work, Cam!
Very very nice video, as nice as the speaker itself!
I'm really impressed!
I love ❤️ this kind of videos because they show us all the effort 👌 that the companies do to enjoy the music 🎶 🎵 ❤️ is Magico
Fantastic, thanks
Beautiful.
It appears that the talented team at Magico take their coffee as seriously as their speakers.A little caffeine stimulant can go a long way when you're hard at work to produce something of this quality.I really liked the look of the red colour model at 11 minutes into the video.I fail to understand why there would be down votes for videos such as this. It's an interesting insight into the process, even if you're not a fan of the brand for whatever reason. Nice listening room, although i feel it would be even better with a reclining chair and a glass of one's favourite tipple (both musts for any ''audiophile''! )
I love the step 10 ❤❤❤
nice video (and ending)
White no sugar please👍🏼 Great video and product. Enjoy Peter
This level of quality workmanship is surprisingly unattainable for speakers under 15k, it does sound crazy to say that.
I never thought to buy this speaker due to it exotic prices, but 10K is within reach. Saving for it right now.
go used bro
at Goodwins High end I heard in their “Big Room” they had M5s with spectral dma 500 monoblocks and the dmc30sv pre and dcs vivaldi stack and it was not only holographic but that holography was thick like I could reach out and touch the sound. It was in some ways cooler than hearing a live performance…..
What is the piece playing during the espresso closing credits?
Are the drivers, speakers cones and electronics made in Mágico grounds? Or Mundorf Components?
The Woofers back looks the same like the Morel Chassis :)
I ♥️ it 🔉
They're the F1 equivalent of the speaker world, but with the power of a Top Fuel Dragster. If a set of Focal Diablos are the Saturn 5 rocket, these are Alien spacecrafts. What I'm trying to say is these are special. If some day my stocks do really really well or I win over 30 million dollars a pair of M9 Carbons might just be a purchase i'd make. They're 1.5 million dollars in Australian money though. Can speakers be heirlooms?
What's the first guitar piece? Some notes sound like Tarrega's Gran Valse.
Yes they are expensive and beautiful
I think my heart just told to say goodbye to my dynaudio in favour for something more magical
can you build a speaker that works well in a small room ?
Vrhunski!
I heard the Magico M6 loudspeaers at Munich 2019 High End.
WHAT AN INCREDIBLE PERFORMANCE THEY HAVE! really awesome speakers, they sound so amazing!
but unfortunalety they are too expensive....they are not for everyone, pricewise
How can you reach -24dB noise level when the air molecules colliding will cause -23dB noise?
I'd like to apply for a job .. =) - Im not sure about the CA situation with COVID,, ..but once the state has that cleared up, .. I'd make the trip if I were welcomed.
I like Q7 Magico loudspeaker and Q7 Audi SUV 😉😁👍👍👍
These Speakers are the best ones to listen to Thrash Metal, Death Metal, Black Metal and all kind 0f Extreme Music !!
Interesting. Which model do you own? Or are you just being silly? I am a metal head at heart so your comment engaged me.
Can you tell me what softwares and tools you use?
I know that Comsol Multiphysics and Solidworks are two of them.
SoundEasy for speaker modelling.
..Very nice ..but remember all use woofers and tweeters that follow the laws of physic's.. just like all others , but now best in world build and computer design and manufacturing never seen before ..would ne a joy to own
is that Stanley Tucci (and i assume his music room at his home?)
Lol! Reminds me of the TS300 Terminator in production
Slayer
A GigaPress for the Aluminium base would save hundereds of hours of machining time. Clean it up with a CNC and have a lighter stiffer part!
Every time you tap and thread a part you build your own future tambourine. Some manufacturing genius said the best part is no part.
Also save about 290 tons of chips!
How does the sound of a Klipsch Cornwall IV compare with any of the Magicos?
Lossy, flat, less dimensionality, colored, boxy resonance, dramatically less smoothness and ease.
Cornwalls are a fine product, but compared to a refined offering like Magicos, the difference would be stunning.
Likely the biggest takeaways;
- smoothness and ease...
- dimensionality, 3D...
Magico sources their drivers from Morel? Other than the cone they look identical to the Morel Ti series.
Magico designs and mfg.'s their own drivers. At least that's what my understanding is.
@@Oneness100 Basket, spider, magnet, nuts and bolts, driver surround all seem to be very similar to that of Morel!
If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck ... ..
@@juststuff5216 What's your problem? There is such a thing as different materials, then there is the crossover, the cabinet. Their speakers do NOT look like Morel drivers. Maybe older Magico's, but definitely not the new Magicos………….
Magico has bass drivers without dust caps, I haven't seen any Morel drivers like that. Their's usually have that overly large dust cap on their drivers. Plus, the woven material Magico is using for the cone doesn't look anything like what Morel uses.
Sorry, but you have failed to prove anything other than your own igorance.
@@juststuff5216 Here's Magico's webpage and they specifically say that they actually design AND manufacturer their own drivers.
Again, maybe older Magico's were custom Morel drivers, but I don't think they use them as they design and mfg. their own drivers.
Again, look at the materials, Magico uses a special fabric to create their cones and dust caps, and I've never seen that material used by any other speaker company, including Morel.

CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHERE THE AMAZON LINK IS?
Nice video; however, I would prefer a bartender to a barista. After seeing those prices, I need a drink!
Seriously, I'm sure you make some fine speakers. I would like to hear your A3 speakers. They may be my next purchase.
I have these A3s. The quality of their sound is top shelf. Also they look better in the flesh than in photos. The only downside is the bass. They do have decent bass at mid to high volumes. At low levels they need a bit help. You do have to get a top of the line Sub to match the quality of the Magico mids.
Ok, I will never ask why these things are so expensive anymore! 😊 👍
Oh, so the shape is not the result of some finite analysis? So WHY these cost an arm and a leg?
Vinnie from American choppers?
Factory in India?
I could do it with a few rolls of Reynolds heavy duty aluminum foil and some Parts Express drivers.
So it comes with a barista or just the espresso coffee machine? No wonder it is expensive😊
You just watched 15 minutes of prod process and that’s you comment... what stupidity
Us mere mortals can only dream
After following "Hi-End Audio" I have come to realize audiophiles love aluminum.
I am always sceptic if I see or better listen to high end chains, which were only presented with puristic jazz noises.
In almost 30 years I heard a lot.
Today's high flyer could be lying dead in the ditch next year.
Even if the speaker and their r&d are looking very sophisticated, the personal impression of the sound, the Qualia, the bit more, the last meters to the summit, are strongly non-linear. So you have to pay so much more to get it...with having children the priorities changes.
Nevertheless...awesome.
I was advised they don't do rock music at Munich 2018 A demo of classical was playing at the time.
I dont understand why they are showing with pride the use of cheapest mundorf caps, they look like just building cabinets. I ll outsource my cabinets to you guys. You are doing good metallurgy work for some reason.
Was thinking the same thing, the components used in the crossover are quite average.
This should sell some speakers, lol.
I heard these speakers in person and I was floored then saw the price I was floored again...
Waste of hard earned money. Buy tannoys instead!
Beautifully machined but looks like a lot of wasted effort.
camera movement making me dizzy
Hmmmm....
So this is why are so expensive...🤔
Arte...Tecnica...Magico
Q7 is magic...
fantastico, ma per quanto riguarda il fare un caffè è meglio cambiare lavoro....
It’s very unlikely I’ll ever be able to afford a pair of Magico speakers, but a guy can dream, right? A pair of M3’s with maybe some Parasound monoblock amps.... oh yeah.
can i get some hot chocolate? ;)
I never quite understood the logic of making a speaker out of aluminum, which rings like a bell. Yes, it's stiff, but would require heroic effort to damp vibrations, as well as being incredibly expensive and difficult to machine. Why not use a more inert composite material?
I think the stiffness is the main reason as you eluded too. Cabinet vibration is about more than just resonance
Simple asphalt sound dead would do it ez. Plus it wouldn't vibrate at all if thick enough.
@@jonathanginofilippi EVERYTHING vibrates and has a resonant frequency. Thicker aluminum would just raise the resonant frequency. Ever hear of a musical instrument called a vibraphone? It's bars are made from aluminum and it can ring for a LONG time.
I'm wondering why they would choose, of all the materials out there, aluminum? It rings like a bell.
9:56 Canare?😳
Best wire
An espresso, what else? 😆😆😆😆
Magic indeed, your wallet - and - bank account are magically emptied when buying these ...
Only if you are a poor loser
@@ekimandersom4478 like u?
@@enrigimeno I just started saving my second million
Why do loosers have to chime in about being loosers?
Yup!
A bit disappointing that we didn’t see a few steps around: Prototype; measure response and evaluate; modify design until perfect desired response achieved. Seems buyers are paying for a nice head office, I’d rather see a full measurement suite rather than a nice lobby!!
Cable shoes,, you must be joking.., why???
Aluminum is good for some things but not speakers cabinets.
Corect
Ah so you know more than their engineering team. Understood.
@@elitetrader5468 lol
Nice speakers, unfortunately not for everyone.
That's a truth about everything in life. And it isn't unfortunate, it is just reality.
Para bafles ,no hay como la madera,el metal es para automoviles!!
No wood work only aluminium . Sound so different to wooden enclose speaker . All come down to which is your prefer .
Should sound the same. No resonance from cabinet.
Are instruments, especially strings, made of aluminum?
A passive loudspeaker, is not the ultimate loudspeaker in sound quality, the best made active designs like ATC SCM ASL sound better than passive loudspeakers.
Most individuals could likely get better results toward state of the art playback by pursuing an active platform. But a 1%er like Alon Wolf and his team, could most likely extract more performance passively.
Active has its advantages, no question. What's most important is the end result.
Both approaches can result in superb in room playback.
Both approaches possess potential pitfalls if not well executed.
I'm guessing the challenges of passive elements, ie., insertion loss, ELI the ICE man, magnetic interactions, microphonics, component hysteresis, etc., have all been adequately managed vis-à-vis a state of the art active monitor counterparts.
End result is all that matters at this level.
I'll admit active, DSP'd, small inexpensive monitors offer EXTRAORDINARY performance for the money.
Aside from my big primary system, I've got a mixing/editing, mastering system. I picked up a set of ~$200 each JBL 308P... and what they've done is incredible. $200!??
8" two-way, active, biamped, DSP aligned/contoured, low diffraction baffle... amazing!
A power supply, dsp, chip amp, feeding two drivers, in a modest cabinet...
Economy of Scale, leveraging decades of Harmon research, over seas mfg... we're fortunate.
Magico's owner's manuals probably cost more to make than one of these JBLs!
Don't forget the most important ingredient....overcharge!!
If they moved out of Commiefornia they could charge 50% less.
cmon ruining the coffee with milk oh dear ....
It's like guys who put ice in whisky.
Instruction unclear, built an Apple HomePod.
Уберите алюминий и останется посредственный спикер.
Nice looking great sounding but brand name sounds like a joke.
Who cares...something Noone one can afford, at least Noone I know...over priced.......
That's why they sell hundreds of pairs a year. Just because you are a loser doesn't mean everyone else is. There is no such thing as overpriced if the market supports it. If the speakers were overpriced no one would buy them and Magico would be out of business.
All this crap is way over priced! Who in this day and age has that kind of money just lying around to blow on speakers?
People who are successful which you obviously aren't. Maybe in your next life...
Says who? U? Lol, u have no freaking clue whether I'm successful or not. I prefer my lovely Tannoys driven by both my Accuphase and Sugden. Ok loser?
Vrhunski!
