I can't believe how clean your desk is.
I have been going through all your blade building videos from the lower quality to this. Also been burning through all your other lightsaber building vids. Excellent content!
Thank you so much for the tutorial! This will help alot. Could you possibly do another tutorial on the PCB inside the hilt? Thanks
Oh man this is awesome. Would also love to see a neo-pixel lightsaber build tutorial. I know how to build a tri-cree lightsaber but been dieing to build a neo-pixel saber but have no idea how to.
Same! I bought a lightsaber but found out it wasn’t neopixel and I don’t want to buy a new saber so I want to make my own blade as the ones for sale are quite pricy
Thank you for this. Because of this vid, I went with a neosaber as my first lightsaber. Now I won't really have to worry about breaking my blades and go all out during duels.
I wouldnt say you dont have to worry even building blades isnt cheap
I highly reccomend only dueling with a baselit unless your okay with losing money every duel
Impressive...most Impressive. I use similar styles for my blade builds👍🏾
Your tutorial on building the Neopixel blade is one of the easiest that I have ever seen! Thank you for sharing this amazing feet! May the force be with you.
Can you do a tutorial of how to connect the blade a hilt since i am not very good at wiring and that stuff.
I have a question on how to use a saber. I got him the Darth Maul saber for Christmas. It wasn’t cheap from Saber Theory. $250. It’s pretty cool except it turns on like a flashlight. How is he supposed to turn it on to watch the light/fire travel up the blade and back down the blade when he turns it off?
Hi bro, did you edit the saber sound or is it real?
hello friend wanna know if this have the melt effect?
You might want to consider clear silicon caulking rather than superglue
Is it possible to make a led strip blade lightsaber with a lightsaber that I bought that has only one led
Can you provide more details for the "Pixel Blade Pogopin PCB" needed? There are two different "blade side pixel PCB"s available on TCSS... one with and one without a resistor. Which one would I need if following your video?
Could you use the wires from the LEDs and attach them to the PCB?
Thanks
if you turn the neopixels blue they wont be white with a halo it would just go like a glowing tube
so i doubt this works
nice camera trick
is a resistor necessary?
is there any way to do this without a soldering iron
How do you go about charging your batteries? Do you take your saber apart each time to remove the battery?
Great video, do you know if the legacy saber can have the blade upgraded to neopixel? have you ever tackled that?
What power source do u use, I got the exact same LEDs but I can't power them, all the battery packs I've found online are +£60 and won't even fit the handle which doesn't seem right, thanks
my pcb connector only has 3 pads, how do I connect?
Same way as in the video but just use 3 wires -- positive, data, and negative
Also, How did you go about mounting the blade PCB receiver into the hilt? Did you have to 3D print another piece to accept it? Thanks!
I am on a somewhat tight budget for this project. If I combine elements from the two blade tutorials, will it still be compatible with the Poffieboard?
Yes both are compatible
Do a tri star
Did I miss the resitor between the data line and the pcb? Or is it ok to install that resitor on the other hilt side pcb?
What is the best set up for sparring blades? I'm guessing that blade would slide off while sparring. Anyone know?
Awesome video. Do you have any plans to make a brewboard lightsaber tutorial?
🤔I do like my open source
Was wondering if you could help me install some electronics into a one replicas qui-gon Jin Saber hilt I really appreciate your help thank you
Many of the blade side PCBs have resistor plates (two square plates) that need to be bridged. Some of them have a pre-soldered on the board. Should we get one with a pre-soldered resistor or without? If without, most of the instructions say to bridge the plates. Is that done already on your PCB?
Hi you seem to know a bit about this stuff and commented recently, I have the exact same LEDs for my light saber but can't power them or find a battery which fits in my hilt (which is average size), it would be a huge help if you could point me in the right direction or recommend a specific model, many thanks
What size battery are you using for this?
How much does it cost?
Depending where you live, quite a bit. Here in Europe, le blade itself is something like 30/35€, le circuit board with connector, 15€, the neopixels are 20€ per strips. You will also need a proffie board (50€) and some various electronic bit (40€). For that price, you don't have the saber handle yet.
dude it is so annoying how he says BFT
its just BTF
