They make an 88cm older version, the V2 has two options, 82 cm and 88 cm. Haven't heard anything about crossguard sticks though. Btw I love your music! Years ago I had some of your remixes on a launchpad, lots of fun.
May be you know some special name of this foam? I think there is a main or additional function in some kind craft, like ‘heat isolation in plumbing’ or ‘protective cover for bla-bla-bla’, do you know?
Khal great video! I've been really interested in learning more about the "pixel sticks", I am sold! Newb question, what are you spraying your tinned pads with to clean them up?
Can’t wait till I can get mine done, just got the top half of a vintage graflex. Why must everything be so expensive 😩 when it’s done it’ll be great(I hope 😅) I’m gonna have mine be ESB-Bespin after the Fall, basically a weathered graflex after Luke got his hand cut off and it fell down the shaft. The piece I have has nicks and stuff on it so I figured it would be perfect for that.
Absolutely. Guys usual charge £100 onwards for installs. Plus if you build yourself you are granted the rank of Master and get a discount seat on the Council.
Ok so 2 years later, I finally built my 7/8" pixelstick blade. HOWEVER: my bladeside chip is from TCSS, and has 2 contacts for the resistor. Since the KR stick already has the resistor, do I simply jumper the 2 pads on the chip? I would think if I didn't, the circuit would be open, and the blade wouldn't work. Am I correct?
Could you make a set of ahsoka tano sabers that feature such a blade as you made in this video with handles that are as close as possible to the ones from the films?
@@KRSabers ok. Cool. Ill have to jump on the emailing list if there is one. Question.. do these blades work with a saberforge hilt? I dont have it yet its being made and shipped on the 21st
This is an older tutorial. The thickness of the tube being used here provides sufficient diffusion. However, recently, it is preferred to add film anyway. A new video will be uploaded later this year with the latest changes and improvements to the blade creation process.
@@MatthewPerret We sell the correct wire on our store, The Saber Armory. PTFE Wire. Make sure it is PTFE, that’s very important. 22AWG Red for Positive, 22AWG Black for Negative and 28AWG Green for Data.
I had bought this like at the 4 months before covid and i had no idea how to build the flagship i was expecting it to be easy like the ones at disney lmao 😂 but never thought i needed to have knowledge about the tech so i ended up trading it for a switch and i was gonna go to the starwars park and get one but then covid hit and that never happen sadly...
Man you should have kept the saber and learned. Its not hard if you just read forums and watch how to vids. Then again enjoy your switch. I dont have one and I'm still super salty we didnt get marvel ultimate alliance 3 on all platforms.
Its crazy how simple this all is compared to how neopixels were just a few years ago. Onya mate for these new pixel sticks.
pipe cutters make really good blade tube cutters. nice square cut and no mess to clean. just mark and cut.
Literally making this blade now. I am so excited to fire it up! Great work, my man.
Do you plan on making different sized Pixel sticks? like ones for 32 inch blades, 36 inch blades, and even crossguard blades?

Wouldn’t you just be able to cut from the top side of the strip?
Welp, I didn't want this money anyway. I've been looking forward to these!
HAHAAAA!!! YIS!!! I have EVERYTHING to make a neopixel blade minus the strips! I knew I was waiting for some reason!!!
1 hour later notification, cheers UA-cam! Looking forward to watching this tutorial mate.
I suddenly have more money to spend now. Kahl, this is fantastic!
Wow, and no "solder gap" in the middle like on BTF strips.
Just got mine! Cant wait to build them :)
Very nice! And one less part needed and three less wires. When I make my blade I will be getting this!
This will be great for my graflex 2.5 and verso.
Holding out for the full blade kit but this is AWESOME!
definitely going to make one of these
Pixel stick is a cool name, nice play on words.
Nice Khal! Was looking forward to these for a while
So awesome i need Luke's and Vaders saber!
Gorgeous build
Unfortunately there is a big problem to find something like this kind of foam in Russia(
Thank you for your great guides!

thanks for making this!

I'm already hyped. When will those parts be available?
Well dammit Kahl, now I've gotta get one.🤣
Are we able to duel with them? Are you going to make Galen Marek’s lightsaber with the hidden activation button near the pommel?
THANK! YOU! for putting the resistor ON the pixel sticks!!!!
(I think I already lost the one from TCSS as they are flea sized lol)
Where is the resistor showing in this video?
@@NickMartelli the resistor is already on the pixel stick. No need to worry about soldering one.
I love this video and it's super easy to follow but would you be able to list all tools and materials used in the description?

@@NobleWarrior I have all the parts to build my blade but no LED strips yet. Does that deny me the rank of master but I get a seat anyway?
Great job on the pixel stick Khal. I think we are all excited about them.
"Excited is hardly the word I would use!"
I predict that in two years, neopixel blades will be as easy to make as inhilt led blades.
Will the blade kits be thick-walled due to the foam tubes?
Legend! Love it!

do you have any tutorial like this one but for recesed blades?
Do you use 22AWG?
I can do that. Thank you!
Excellent job on the pixel stick! Is the blade kit still available? I couldn't find it on your shop.
or can buy 2 strip cut them lenght you want remove clue paper and stick them together. you end extra leds and its cheaper lol
What lengths will be available? I prefer a shorter blade usually
Where did you get your wire stripper?
May I know if the full blade kit is available now?
what saw guide is that? where can i get one.
So how do these KR saber 2020 neopixel strips compare to Vader's Vault neopixel strips?
Are you going to make a tutorial on installing the Verso board?
