@@MoonProdsWhere is it man? I love your stuff, for the monsters do you record somewhere and edit or? Dang I wish I could just be there for a couple hours.
Parents dropping their kids off in remote areas is a common theme throughout the ages. Some kids are so psychotic that people find it impossible to deal with them and just drop them off like dogs or cats. Sometimes they just aren't mature enough themselves to raise them so they abandon them. This reminded me of Samara of the movie The Ring where the parents couldn't get rid of her so they commited suicide because she was so horrible. I thought the blurring of the face was quite artistic and relevant to the story since the child had no identity in a cold world.
The “pandemic” and the forced school closures really shone a light on parents like that. They got pissed that they couldn’t drop off their kids anymore to some child-care factory away from home.
The censoring may be a blessing in disguise, really adds to the overall dream like feeling and sense of mystery. Definitely felt some Spirited Away vibes there too
I thought I was the only one! Something in the back of my mind was telling me this was familiar but I couldn't place it. As soon as the dragon train pulled up it all fell into place. The girl is Sen/Chihiro. Also the moving buildings made me think of the movie Dark City.
The music at the beginning is very by Studio Ghibli, and some of the scenery has an 'anime scenery' feel to it. I loved the whirling supercell over the field. That was so dream-like.

While I don't think that was mind-bending as Creatures of Madness, i think this is massive step-forward in terms of narrative direction and storytelling. Even her face blurred, i could pinpoint everything she was going through as she fell into and navigated through this dream world, encountering all the things she did. Her nostalgia at the carousel, her fearful wonder of the monochromatic cityscape, her sadness upon being lost at the train station, and her determination to get through the final escape--I could feel it all. The setting is so beautiful in its surrealism, and it was difficult to piece together what was truly happening, adding to the mystery. This ost was also awesome, adding so much more to the scenes, furthering the cinematic feel and making this girl's journey all the more ethereal. Overall, exemplary job, Christian! You will no doubt be making theatrically released masterpieces one day, and this film--alongside the rest of this channel--will do as a great testament to that!
The story has some touches of Little nightmares, and the black 'n white graphics give it a touch of a classic music video from "of monsters and men". Beautifully done, Moon.

Thanks for the lovely comment! I have no idea what I just watched but I liked it. You make great animations man, you should have at least a million subs with this quality of animation.
This is like if David Lynch was asked to make a short film based on the Submachine flash game series. I thought the whole time that the blurred actress’s face was just part of the show, the atmosphere lends itself so well to that kind of artistic choice. This honestly gives me hope that creativity hasn’t been strangled out of this website yet.
Thank you for sharing this video. I have been watching a few lets plays of the Litle Nightmares 1 and 2 games recently, and a few scenes you have produced reminded me of those from that game. Looking forward to your next projects.
I don’t know why but I actually cried. I think it was maybe the art style, or the concept of being stranded, left behind and forgotten. Plus it was all a child going through all these things. The dragon train scene reminded me of an anime I once watched…
1:02 for a frame a second or idk for like 0.1 sec you can see in the red storm, a mega sized creatur formed almost like a human aprearing their as a shadow and then a huge hand
Great... Thanks for the effort and uploading. Creativity is primarily work and overcoming obstacles. Something new emerges that is not previously planned. Creativity comes straight from the source of the universe...I promise to heavily promote this film...
From what I can tell, this seems to be some sort of twisted reality where something is inhabiting an entire city, corrupting it, and imprisoning it’s citizens in… street lamps? Confusion is the emotion I walk away from this with, as well as mildly damp trousers.
The Uncensored version must be pretty spicy. Also, ...I had my 2rd colonoscopy last Friday. Thanks to everyone on my channel who wished me well. Sadly, I didn't survive.
Bhatt Hole's body was found in the trunk of a car of Dr. Connor Oskopy while he was trying to get rid of it by throwing it in a landfill. The stench alerted the neighbors, leading them to call the rat extermination service convinced that that was the cause of such an ungodly smell. the body, now home to a large colony of insects, cockroaches, molluscs, reptiles, raccoons, had numerous contusions in the rectal area, probably inflicted by the doctor while the patient was under anesthesia. "I couldn't help myself, it was the most beautiful ass I've ever seen" the only statement left by the perpetrator. Investigations will continue
The dragon train not only reminded me of the catbus, but I used to have a toy Thomas the tank engine train that was a Chinese dragon. There’s a few different versions of it but the one I had as a kid had this sort of pointed head (looked more like big bird from Sesame Street than a dragon) and it was golden yellow. One of my favorite toys as a kid.
Yes! While doing research for this short film, I was suprised that so few people had thought of a dragon train before, and this character from Thomas the tank engine was the only example :) But I didn't know it before, it was much more inspired by the catbus
I know it’s due to outside circumstances, but the protagonist’s face being constantly blurred out really adds to the mystery of what’s going on for me.
A fantastic film! Been hoping for another one of yours since Madness lol. Well done! This was beyond all my expectations :) (Also that one scene with the merry-go-round terrified me, because I’ve heard the music box it played many times before lol)
Incredible work. It must be a bummer to not be able to show the film as originally intended, but the blurring of her face adds a sense of mystique, a ghostly visage, a forgotten feeling that is just beyond the grasp of a person desperately trying to remember.
wow, this video/movie was really nice to see and watch it's weird and that's a good thing you try to understand what happens most of the time but you don't understand, and towards the end it gives a lot of a chihiro's trip vibe, and that's a great compliment in my view
16:11 This reminds me of my old nightmares. When I was just a kid, I dreamed about it few times. I was standing in the white room, with no end. No walls or ceiling in sight. And there was some tall and black humanoid shapes looking like that girl’s face, flickering and jittery. They moved in high speed, sometimes standing far away, and sometimes gathered around, staring down on me. It was very creepy that times.
Long story short, the video couldn't stay up on youtube with the actress's face visible, this was out of my decision and not an artistic choice :(

Thanks for the lovely comment! And even if it wasn't conscious, the style and atmosphere of Eraserhead was so strong that it's probably somehow inspired by it
I just remembered, if you look at the first teaser that was just test shots, the chained creature working the machines in the shadows was probably a direct inspiration :)
Geez kid, first you resurrected my childhood night monster (creatures of the end time), now you've got footage that could be from the drive I am taking Friday...lol...
Just wanted to say your film was quite the experience. Awe inspiring in it's surreal creativity. It's criminal that as of this writing it only has 16K views, and that your artistic vision had to be limited by UA-cam's constraints but it was incredible nonetheless. Can't wait to see your next project!
Absolutely stunning work. Ive been following for a little bit now and your cinematic sense and how you handle scenes and subconscious themes has matured by orders of magnitude. Not knowing the backstory re: censoring, I think the effect works in your favor. Also, your use of s/w tools like Blender is getting pretty impressive. Ill be watching...
This caught me up, kept me totally enthralled and covered in full-body chills....the sound through earphones was hitting every nerve in my body......please feed us more! ❤
I was watching this late at night and falling asleep… such an awesome feeling… i was like being transported to nostalgia or something very ethereal
Well done! The attention to visual detail. This truly had the feel of the classic Sci-fi writers. The music. So fantastic. Please make more!
Holy crap when that train showed up it reminded me of something like spirited away! This work is amazing!
god i'm soo obsessed with that opening scene, the music and cinematography is perfect!
Holy crap where was the opening scene that started at 0:35 filmed at? Such a beautiful scenic drive. Reminds me of one of the places I lived in, in the past. Also, beautiful opening music. Magical really. And finally, dang! She got ditched by her ride!!? That's cold bro.
It's actually many different places in the south of France
Movie magic!
The via en rouge music box made my skin crawl, it was gifted to me as a child and it's really scary hearing it after a long time
Whyyyy have I never commented on how great this video is?? It’s dreamlike, and I love it!
I love yer work!!
Thank you so much dude haha, I remember you commenting on several videos :) Hope you're going well!
Thanks!@@MoonProds I hope you're also doing well and keeping healthy in these tumultuous times!
Started watching this on tv but stopped, will put it on the projector tonight.
Very nice, that's how it was meant to be seen!
Great video. I loved the atmosphere and I felt a sense of mistery and awe like never before. Keep up the great work!
I have no idea what I just watched but I liked it. You make great animations man, you should have at least a million subs with this quality of animation.
Can't wait till you make the feature length film of this quality.
This is one of the most magical and beautiful things I've ever seen on here
the skyscraper scene is crazy bro
This is simply mesmerizing, from beginning to end. I couldn't look away.
Just found your channel, really loving it
This is like if David Lynch was asked to make a short film based on the Submachine flash game series. I thought the whole time that the blurred actress’s face was just part of the show, the atmosphere lends itself so well to that kind of artistic choice. This honestly gives me hope that creativity hasn’t been strangled out of this website yet.
I hope this guy makes more of this awesome stuff, a true visionary in his craft
This immediately gave me Spirited Away vibes, like the girl in the car, and the music that brings this feeling like this is normal.
Cool and good. Can't wait for the Wendigoon video.
Haha that would be awesome
Thank you for sharing this video. I have been watching a few lets plays of the Litle Nightmares 1 and 2 games recently, and a few scenes you have produced reminded me of those from that game. Looking forward to your next projects.
i felt like i was at a theater ITS SO GOOD! the cgi and music is so well done like gosh no wonder why it took 2 years ITS AMAZING
I don’t know why but I actually cried. I think it was maybe the art style, or the concept of being stranded, left behind and forgotten. Plus it was all a child going through all these things. The dragon train scene reminded me of an anime I once watched…
Wow, no one has ever told me they cried watching something I made, thank you, it's a huge compliment :)
Did it remind you of Spirited Away?
@@MoonProds YES LOL THAT WAS THE ANIME. I didn’t say the name because I kind of forgot what it was called
even unintended, it does work as an artistic statement.
Two words... Dragon... Train. Arguably one of the coolest things I never knew I needed to see.
The films made by this man are incredible keep up the good work
The sound design and cues are really cool sounding in this! Great job!
Lamp post: it's not an exciting job, but someone has to do it.
They can go home knowing they've brighened someone's day
1:02 for a frame a second or idk for like 0.1 sec you can see in the red storm, a mega sized creatur formed almost like a human aprearing their as a shadow and then a huge hand
Hey you noticed! Props to you :)
yay
...
what does props mean
@@somekidnamedchristoo it's like bravo I think
Finally! i am glad this channel is still alive. Keep up the good work
Enchanting. Thanks for making this. I really enjoyed it.
Dude this is incredible every detail of this is perfect
Great... Thanks for the effort and uploading. Creativity is primarily work and overcoming obstacles. Something new emerges that is not previously planned. Creativity comes straight from the source of the universe...I promise to heavily promote this film...
Could be wrong, but at 1:03 you can see something hiding inside the clouds. You might have to slow down the video to see it.
Possibly a teaser to another film he has planned
From what I can tell, this seems to be some sort of twisted reality where something is inhabiting an entire city, corrupting it, and imprisoning it’s citizens in… street lamps?
Confusion is the emotion I walk away from this with, as well as mildly damp trousers.
Thanks for the mildly damp trousers
You bet,@@MoonProds ! Make sure you wash them first, though.
The Uncensored version must be pretty spicy. Also,
...I had my 2rd colonoscopy last Friday. Thanks to everyone on my channel who wished me well. Sadly, I didn't survive.
RIP in peace
Also the legend says someone else reuploaded the original version of "Creatures of Crepuscule" on youtube if you look it up...
rip bozo
Maaaan this is stunning. I'd really love some behind the scenes videos.
Inspiring. It was that period with the carousel in particular that got my gears going.
Whimsical, but im having a hard time getting it
Don't miss your train stop.
Real Spirited Away vibes from this. Well done!
Absolutely amazing
Man. I love this channel
Being a kid is different than when I was little.
It's giving vibes of Thomas Ligotti, Eraserhead, and Mad God. Incredible stuff, can't wait to see what's next!
Its like if your blind. You cant see their faces as if they were faceless by some big creature as it warps your brain.
I can't wait until this becomes big and famous
wow, this video/movie was really nice to see and watch it's weird and that's a good thing you try to understand what happens most of the time but you don't understand, and towards the end it gives a lot of a chihiro's trip vibe, and that's a great compliment in my view
Oh my god thats a masterpiece, i'm in love with the atmosphere. Excellent work!
Because sometimes you just gotta become a lamp, y'know?
Mr president it's an honour
@@MoonProds XD
16:11 This reminds me of my old nightmares. When I was just a kid, I dreamed about it few times.
I was standing in the white room, with no end. No walls or ceiling in sight. And there was some tall and black humanoid shapes looking like that girl’s face, flickering and jittery. They moved in high speed, sometimes standing far away, and sometimes gathered around, staring down on me. It was very creepy that times.
