    Anyway, this is some kind of cosmic horror like HP Lovecraft, a descent into madness to sum up. Nothing out of the ordinary. It might look like an SCP, or maybe a level of the backrooms, but it's fully original, no inspiration from other youtubers like Kane pixels or anything.

    15 years old and he gets tension like some of the modern greats. You could be the next indie darling director like Ari Aster with this style of story telling let alone how good the actual product is. Cosmic horror is SO hard to do right it always comes out cheezy or try hard. This just... I don't know. It FEELS right. It's how I want to feel watching something like this. Amazing work.

      Or the "horror" turns out to just be a misinterpretation, such as with 'The Abyss'. The experience warps our mind, but it's simply something powerful that we don't understand. This video also reminds me of The Flesh Interface series which is on a sub reddit. It dealt with flesh portals opened up by hyper focused minds.

  • @cthonmon_4781
    @cthonmon_4781 Рік тому +170

    This is truly great horror. This isn't just creepiness or terror, this is rising tension, that lurking dread and strangeness that sends tingles up your spine. It plays on the fear of the unknown, the fear of the incomprehensible, the fear of "The Other" that is natural to humanity. It is not jumpscares or spooky ghosts, but something so utterly alien that we are filled with an oppressing, nauseating fear. Like Lovecraft's works, it is horror because it is a violation of nature.
    Incredible.

    Immersive interest, growing, thickening dread, unexplainable fear, palpable discomfort, grandiose shock, piercing whiplash, and genuine sadness...never before have i seen a video on this platform that coyld make feel all of these things in such a short time. From John's hooking mission to confront the walking madness, to his entire journey into a place where no human should ever think of going, to the pullung of my heartstrings as John's wife endlessly called out to her missing husband, who himself was so close, in arms reach of her, yet so far, too far gone, each call from her more despair-filled than the last...just, wow.
    Be proud, Moon Prod, Christian Szczbera. You've made me watch something that I will never forget on this night. And I couldn't be more satisfied.

    Omg the ending killed me!!!! This was so profound and very deep. You will maybe be about 17 years old now if you ever see this this message, I just wanted to say Thank You. I am a huge Lovecraft and beadbury fan. This was intense and ambiguous enough to twist your noodle about what was really going on. Fantastic.

    This film captured the feeling of "dream like" (or nightmare-like) so well.....I also loved the use of symbolism, like the recurrent skull symbols throughout....if the world really is going to end like this then I hope I am long gone by then, this is far more horrific than a famine, nuclear holocaust, asteroid strike or pandemic.

    • @nothingnewunderthesun4292
      @nothingnewunderthesun4292 Рік тому

      Not sure if I agree about the famine tbh… there’s not many things scarier than what human desperation can lead people to, especially if it is sth like hunger. If you have the stomach to research it, I believe there‘s even a video on here of it, look up Russias „Cannibal Island“
      This is terrifying no doubt, but I do truly believe simply said a human in his utmost desperation is more terrifying than any natural disaster wiping me away, or drowning even

    Wow. You had an idea and followed through on its theme thoroughly! It wasn’t disturbingly twisted, yet had an eerie underlying ambience.
    Like the whole thing could spiral into god knows what, but in the moment, all is just “fine”… the world not being put out in a splash, but more of a continuous dripping into nonexistence.
    And you sent it home with adding “I don’t want to set the world on fire” in this outro! Well done!
