STOP Holding Your Angle Like This with Chipping

If you want more pars, but really struggle with your chipping around the green, then let's get you to focus on the club’s shaft. A lot of players are trying to hold their angles through the chip shot-not allowing the release of the shaft. This is a big no-no. Much of this is the concept of the hinge and hold method, where players are trying to hinge …and then hold it. Instead, let me show you how to really do it. So let's get to it.

This is the BEST chipping tip I have ever seen or heard!
when the dessert gets rain 🌧 the green contrast is beautiful.
Excellent explanation More Pars!!!! This is very nuanced because both shots at full speed look very similar yet as you say they are worlds apart. It's such a small release yet so important for feel and contact and repeatability as I have found out trying both methods. So this will stick with me when I have a short chip. THank you for that!!! Also the tip about more wrist flex when the ball is sitting in deeper grass is very logical. More club head speed to get through the grass. Simple yet for some reason I seem to choke on this shot quite a bit especially when I am short sided on the green. Now I understand why. Trust More Par's tips so I can trust my swing!! Thank you so much from Canada!!!
LOVE your slow motion!!
Excellent video, as always, Christina. Thank you for posting.
Thanks, focusing too much on making a pivot with arms pinned that my hands were not relaxed and I was not releasing.
Good tip
« Severe Downslope Off a tight lie
Step 1 Sélect your landing spot. In this case, it is short of the green
Step 2 Angle the shoulders with the slope. Weight factors lead foot
With uneven lies I prefer a wider stance for more stability
Step 3 Allow gravity to drop the weight of the club head down the slope
Celebrate the great shots. Christina Ricco »
sorry didn't get the BIG difference, both looked the same to me
But dragging the shaft is the new craze, you know ...
