Thanks Shani, I definitely feel like the Yummy Repair Balm is definitely for me and my dry self 😂. I love Danessa Myricks caters to oily and dry skin. The balm powder definitely isn’t for me. I am glad she got us dry folks too. It was a bit much under foundation but at night it is 🧑🍳 💋 for me. As always, thank you for the laugh and review beautiful lady. lol if you have dry skin, you may love it! I know she has a yummy skin tint that I believe is more hydrating. I know a couple people have tried it and loved it! I can definitely understand the blurring balm being too dry. Especially if you already have oily skin, it may feel like the moisture in your skin is drying more as the day goes on lol ❤️❤️

We have Dollar Generals in the south, you can’t throw a rock without hitting one. The ice boxes are outside the store. They are usually unlocked. There ya go, someone might think it’s free😂😂😂

I tried touching up with the blurring balm, and it doesnt do anything for me. I switched to touching up with the ELF matte putty primer using a sponge topped with covergirl outlast finishing powder.
Ooohhh I may have to pick up the elf primer. I’ve always heard good things about it!
@smileyshani2252 How do you prep for makeup? I'm currently using The Ordinary Marine Hyaluronics, and then Cetaphil Mattifying Acne Moisturizer (~0.5 BHA) under the ELF Invisible spf 35 (matte, water resistant sunscreen). Works well. And if I may ask, what's your go to foundation :) ?

Right now, I use the honey drop moisturizer from Farmacy. Depending on what’s on my vanity (lol) I may use a toner and/or the CosRX snail nastiness. I go between the DM blurring balm universal for primer and the Urban Decay all nighter primer. There are quite a few primers I like! I’ve also liked the Dior backstage primer and the Fashion Fair primer. I’ve also liked a couple Milani and NYX primers. I’ve recently started using the Black Girl sunscreen (matte), as I was looking for a new sunscreen. With the dry weather, sometimes I will use the Hydrating UD primer or the Danessa Myricks beauty oil so I am not super matte.
My fave foundations right now: Sephora Best Skin Ever, Haus Labs and YSL. I LOVE the NARS soft matte foundation and powder and use the Naturally Radiant foundation when I want less matte. Another fave is the NYX Can’t Stop Won’t Stop foundation. Those would be the things I’d put in a makeup bag if I’m going away. Along with the DM blurring balm in shade 9.
As a bus driver,I can tell you that people will bring anything and everything on the bus. Technically us drivers are supposed to disallow "hazardous materials" buuuuuut that pretty much means refusing to board those with a dog covered in blood or a crate of grenades. I am not spending my time giving static to people hauling car parts, paint, etc. If you gotta bring your snakes I'd rather know about it and have them in proper containers. Dudes can skip any jokes about their pants as containers.
That is good to know! Especially as a bus driver, I imagine you don’t have the time nor the energy to check every single thing from every single person! I wonder why he didn’t use a container or something and make transport easier on the snakes AND himself! We may never know though smh. People seem to be finding new and innovative ways of transporting things. Just not the smartest decisions!

Awww, I’m sorry it doesn’t do it for you! I’m thinking if you didn’t like it, you may not like the water powder serum. It felt like no mattifying for me at all! What I noticed with the blurring balm is that it’s almost like the matte effect occurs over time. All in all, though, nothing will pry me away from my matte foundations and setting powder. Not yet, at least!
I’ve also noticed that the universalone doesn’t do the same as the pigmented ones…. Hope this helps!
@@DIYQUEENbyRienna for me, the universal seems to make me super matte! The other day, I used it with foundation (actually, it may have been the balm in my shade) and I was hella matte. A bit too much. Who knows! It’s crazy how things work so differently on each of us. Let me know if you have other things you like!

I bet that balm would be great for feet, elbows, cuticles, or if you get really dry after too much sun or a skin treatment. I think this is too moisturizing for the face if one is using some other moisturizer or even an spf.

I’ve been reading about the Sephora Kids smh. There was no way I was using those expensive skin care products at that age. Like, there are so many ingredients that may not be good for them!!
I’ve been keeping the moisturizing balm by my bed and using it on hands and feet. It’s a nice little addition, but not one that I’ll repurchase again. Unless I see some crazy amazing results.

@@smileyshani2252 I was quite shocked when I was in Sephora last and there were soooo many kids shopping without their parents, little kids, not teenagers. I lt was so shocking that I distinctly remember only one parent with her children (or maybe their friends too) buying makeup and skincare AND nothing inexpensive!

Well, Cousin Cheeks🤪 As far as the Sephora kids, I swear Dove has put together somewhat of a PSA for parents regarding the difference between skin care and anti-aging to hopefully help guide some of those conversations with their children. Honestly, their skin is where we are trying to get back to with all the collagen, plump skin, no lines, etc., One thing the Dove PSA mentioned is the stats regarding body image. Do we really want our daughters consumed with body image and anti-aging at 10 years old? We want to build body and image positivity and acceptance, not feeding that beast of not being good enough or looking a certain way.
