  • This is a review of the Resurgence Gear Rocker Jacket. It's a new product for 2015.
Resurgence make the highest abrasion resistance jeans in the world and this is a jacket made from the same material.
    I like it.

Hi there, have you tried it during hot summer? Is it comfortable in very hot climates? Thanks

I've been looking at this jacket for almost 2 years now... unfortunately, I still haven't made the decision of buying it yet. This video did help a little bit. But I must say, when you said there are a lot of options in textile jackets, you were only partially correct. Resurgence is the only one that makes Pekev lined jackets. So there is technically not much options available to us in terms of Pekev textile jackets unfortunately. Not that I have anything against Resurgence... it's just that without competition, there tends to be price markup which is especially annoying.
The thing that prevents me from just buying one is the fact that I can't just try it on and find out if it fits well or not. And $400 CAD + shipping is a lot of money for a gamble. I wish they would sell the jacket in more local stores, especially in my city where all the jackets they sell are garbage. I might be going to Quebec this summer, so maybe I might have the opportunity to check them out on the way to my friend's place and decide then. But until then, I'm stuck with my current jacket which is falling apart at the seems everywhere even though it's never been in an accident.

Hey Great review...love the jacket. I see below you've commented on your height but what about your weight and chest size? So I can get a better idea, cheers!

I just got one of these but it’s too small. I’m 6 foot and 42 chest, and the large is just a fraction too small. Shame as it’s a really nice summer jacket

Hi, nice video and jacket looks great. Couple questions, is that jacket black or olive green version, its bit hard to tell since i haven't seen all the colour versions of that jacket anywhere on internet (and there is no resellers in my country so can't see it live either). Cut looks also pretty slim, i am bit heavier build then you (and slightly overweight), just wondering would it be tight on beer belly area =). By the way what height are you? And on what temperatures would you use it. Thanks!

Rami Tiihonen Thanks very much. 1. I would say it's olive green, I didn't know there was a black one. 2. I would say a slim cut, however I would like it to be a bit slimmer as with just a t-shirt underneath it's a little less snug than I would like. 3. I am about 176cm/5ft 10. 4. Temperature-wise I have used it from about 12-14 degrees upwards with warm layers underneath, but I have a big windshield on my bike. I believe that motolegends are now a stockist of resurgence and they have a generous returns policy so you could maybe try before you buy that way. Good luck!

MotorbikeStuff Hi, thanks for reply (sorry it took bit long to get back to say thx), by the way how well do you think the jacket breaths/vents, i am thinking hot summer days (not that they are so common here but every now and then we see hot days too).

Rami Tiihonen I've been out on a few hotter days recently (above 23 degrees c) and it is pretty good. Mind you nothing is very good when you are stopped at the lights!

Is the Pekev lining the same as that used in the CE - homologated Voyager jeans, or is it less/lighter/thinner?
Also, may I ask how much this weighs with protectors? Mesh jackets typically weigh around 1.5 kg (but offer very little protection) while leather and mesh jackets around 2.6kg (in both cases with elbow shoulder and back armour), so I wonder how this compares. Thanks!

Hmmm, not sure about the lining. I am assuming it is the same, but I'm also fairly sure it doesn't cover the whole jacket - which is good as I have the voyager jeans and although they are very good they are slightly like wearing carpet. Weight? - not sure either, but my impression (I own about 6 motorcycle jackets both leather and textile) is that it is the lightest jacket I've got, even with armour in it.

Thanks! Actually, I have just noticed that Resurgence 's website claims this is their only jacket fully lined with Pekev. Do you mean the Voyager jeans are heavy (I'd expect CE-level 2 jeans not to be lightweight!) or that the lining scratches the skin?

JESUS, I thought that stupid music would never stop! You just disqualified yourself with that stupid remark that a back protector doesn't help in a crash.

Hi there, thanks for the comment. Regarding back protectors you should google it. I believe that the most damaging and likely injuries for spines are caused by twisting not by impact. A back protector protects from impact and not twisting. I haven't googled it for a while, but I think that information is current.

I know what you mean about the music - I thought that I was on the wrong type of site, for a minute.
