I have watched this video from Voiceplay a bunch of times, and yet, in watching your reaction, you pointed out so many details of the arrangement I'd missed! This is why I love watching your videos -- I learn so much from you!

True to their name, this was voice play to put a smile on your face.
I believe it was a D6 (not a D5 as you mentioned) from Cesar (and potentially his highest note record) :)

I always loved the Tokens version of this song & it's now my favourite by VoicePlay. I had to watch it twice. I got so caught up with the critters the first time, I had to watch it again for the band. The singing, harmonies, vioLayne & beatboxing were great and I laughed till I ached watching the dancing. Great reaction!
On an entirely different note, if you get time listen to Austin Brown's original "I'll Go First" (audio only, on his channel) but keep tissues handy.

The concrete jungle has never seen so much fun! The vocals were 🔥🔥🔥.
Their camera person has relocated so they filmed this using an iPhone which explains why it’s oriented the way it is. They did that for the Christmas one as well but there were so many cuts it wasn’t obvious. I hope they get a new camera person soon because I really miss the wide format. But I’m just glad they keep doing what they do no matter what challenges they have.
They just released a few minis on their Patreon page that will be definitely worth a view when released to YT. They did Pure Imagination barbershop style and it is gorgeous. They followed it up with the Formula One racing theme with Omar and then Baby on Board with baby Asher! It is adorable.

Jennifer! Premiere done, now let's listen to this a bit more closely. Everyone remembers the Tokens version but this song is much older. Wait ... been awhile since you listened to some bass singers? Tomi says hello. 😁 LOL, when Elie comes in he gets a couple of phrases and Geoff taps his shoulder to step aside. The boys definitely had fun with this one, including squirrels on the head! Well, I'm not sure if I just watched a VoicePlay video or the movie Jumanji. Now I have to watch it again because I was laughing so hard at the monkeys and gorillas dancing in the background that I couldn't focus on the singing. They appear to be having as much fun as Home Free did making their Butts Remix. At least now we know for sure that VoicePlay belongs in a zoo! Jennifer, how you managed not to crack up in the middle of this video amazes me.

After many viewings, I just noticed that the squirrel on Layne's head (near the end) is dancing in circles!
And as others have pointed out in other commentaries, J None, here singing in a gorgeous falsetto, is a BASS singer for the US Navy!

What a fun song AND a fun reaction! I've been subscribed since August '22. Back then, and to this day, you crack us up with your attempts at the low notes!! It's sort of a 'signature move,' and has become very endearing for me! There's a documentary called ReMastered: The Lion's Share that follows one man's goal to find a descendant of Solomon Linda, the man who first recorded a version of this song in 1938 in South Africa. The family never received the royalties or recognition. Sad, but very interesting story.
