It's not often that there is ALMOST too much going on for you, but this was utter... chaos... And Geoff's face at the end was priceless since his character knew what was coming... Again...
@@JenniferGlatzhoferthank you for another priceless reaction to Voice Play. I believe they are coming back with a part 3. Layne is the master of chaos.
I could be reading in, but for me the plot line that makes everyone’s actions make sense is this: the guys are all just starting to learn how to conjure, and they’re getting ahead of themselves. Rachel is trying her best to teach them-and keep a lid on the mischief. Every time one of the guys steals the book, you can see her getting annoyed, frustrated, and even panicky. When they get to the Can Can-she finally grabs the book back and frantically tries to undo whatever magic they’ve just done-and you can see the magical fireworks get sucked back into the fire. But Eli has another spell, and then Rachel and Layne are doing Romeo and Juliet, until she realizes and breaks it off-that’s when we hear the growl, and we go into A Night On Bald Mountain, which scares the heck out of the guys (except Geoff, for some reason). It’s Eli’s turn to panic when he sees that last page is missing, and he’s trying to warn the others when Rachel smugly produces it and sends them all off to time out. Tada! Anyway, I loved your reaction, and I’m glad you caught so many details. If you find time watch Elizabeth’s (Charismatic Voice) interview with Layne-he shows how he managed to produce so many sounds and all that layering. Love the VioLayne shirt! I need to have one! I promise not to eat it.
With Geoff, it seemed like he was the only one taking the lesson even halfway seriously, thus his subdued joy when Rachel snapped. Then he realized that her punishment was going to splash onto him when she produced the missing page, his expression there saying, "This is going to suck."
What cracks me up is that while Geoff mainly stayed out of the hijinks he was the very first one to successfully steal the spell book enabling the resulting chaos
This one has definitely become one of my favorites. I love that Cesar is actually dancing the Can-Can while they are singing the Can-Can. They all embody the characters they play so well, but Cesar just seems to always outshine the rest - just a bit. This is fabulous. If y'all have access you have to watch the BTS - hilarious.
The other day, someone was pointing out that many of us Gen X listeners learned this music from old Loony Tunes cartoons, even if we didn’t learn the names.
Need to check out The Charismatic Voice’s interview with Layne re the production of this video. It was awesome to see how his mind works when arranging this medley. So good! ❤
You are so fun to watch ....and I love your VoicePlay reactions. I am hoping for part 3 of this! Maybe they will bring back Elizabeth AND Rachel together next!! Layne is insanely creative and its so much fun to seee what his madness can create. Also.... I have a ginger kitty tooo....sweet mischief making kitty boy.
Jennifer reacting to Voiceplay gives me life. Jen, your expressions and your mimicking of some of their vocal antics are priceless. Such a fun reaction to Layne brain. ✌️❤️🧌
Great job, Jenn. Now that you've seen it, check out Elizabeth Zharoff (The Charasmatic Voice) talking with Layne about how he created the arrangement. It is fascinating.
@Jennifer Glatzhofer Elizabeth Zharoff (The Charismatic Voice) put up a video where she had a Zoom Call with Layne where he went over his Mix for this song with her. His layering is INSANE! You would really appreciate and enjoy it like Elizabeth did. It's on her channel. You don't have to, but I would LOVE to see you react to that video.
It is sunny and 106°F/41°C here in Northwestern America. What I wouldn't give for UK weather! Or a cool October night like what VoicePlay's fantasy world looks like. Love your reaction to this song. It's pure hilarity and joy!
Jen!! I think I enjoyed watching YOU as much as THEM! You may have had TOO much fun, if that's possible! What a fun reaction!!! I LOVED it!! Too bad I can only give ONE thumbs up!
Layne wrote the 'chant' during the 'Hall of the mountain King' segment.....chant can be seen on Mortius' reaction to this, they put it upon the screen for us.....>^^
Refreshing to jump onto my computer this evening to see another reaction video from my favorite reactor. I watched "Classical Chaos" numerous times, and even ran through specifically focusing on each member to enjoy their theatrics. I lost count how many times I paused the video because I was laughing at their antics. But I wonder if you noticed while relistening later on the part when they are singing "The Hall of the Mountain King" the devilish chat of the background vocals. It was deliciously eerie. As always thank you for a delightfully entertaining and educational reaction. You are the best.
This is one of those really fun reactions, where Jen is trying to say 3 things at once and getting frustrated when her voice can't keep up with her mind! I'll be coming back to this one in the future!
In no particular order, these should be the pieces: - A Night on Bald Mountain - Mussorgsky - Dance of the Hours - Ponchielli - Eine kleine Nachtmusik - Mozart - Für Elise - Beethoven - Habanera from ''Carmen Suite No.2'' - Georges Bizet - Orphée aux enfers, Frensh Can Can ACT 5 - Offenbach - Peer Gynt Suite No. 1, "In the Hall of the Mountain King" - Grieg - Romeo and Juliet (Fantasy Overture) - Tchaikovsky - Symphony No 5 in C Minor - Ludwig Van Beethoven - The Blue Danube Waltz - Johann Strauss II - Thus Spoke Zarathustra - Richard Strauss - Toccata and Fugue in D Minor - J. S. Bach
Everything. .. just everything was perfect. They frickin CARRIED ON CONVERSATION the entire video! And we UNDERSTOOD!!! It was glorious. 😁🙃😊. And so was the music, lol. I don't think anything is beyond their scope. And I loved your reaction..❤
I love how Rachel gets more and more frustrated with the boys. I'm loving this one as much as Hall of the mountain king. I was waiting for you to get to this piece! Did you notice Cesar doing the Can Can? Hilarious.
Jennifer. You maybe be interested in an interview that Elizabeth from the Charismatic Voice does with Layne about the production of the vocals. I think Layne said there was around 120 tracks
Racheal has so much Sass at the end! But you can definitely see how well they acted out the fear of what was coming towards the end. You are one of the few i have seen notice the character interactions in each part of the video. I especially love your reaction when her eyes change near the end.
Hey ! As always your reaction is on point, well done ! I don't know if you noticed, but the last note sang by Rachel is the one that they are supposed to sing (the note we are expecting from them) just before Layne cut the song with is insane beatbox while Rachel take the page (that she took away at timestamp 3:25 in the original video, but timestamp 19:10 in yours) to read it :)
I think the thing Eli says at the end "Ha ke tah koh-lay" or whatever it was that he claims means "gooooood!" is basically what they were chanting during that part where you said it sounded like they were saying words (Hall of the Mountain King).
I always wait (im)patiently lol for your reaction and analysis you can see your love of music and your passion in them! The way that they told the story completely with not a single word is incredible in this. Have you seen the interview that Elizabeth at the Charismatic voice did with Layne? He said there is over 120 tracks on this one! Did you notice the carrot in the "smoke" at the end of Layne's spell? They all did so well as the Grundels in this one I can't wait for a 3rd part! Also the voice Cesar "stole" from Geoff is actually Layne singing. If you look closely during the Can Can Cesar is actually doing the Can Can lol
What, no comment on the Wilhelm Scream?😃 I feel like this mischievous imp is actually Cesar's Spirit Animal! Especially when he's doing the Can-Can! I feel like dealing with these guys will prepare Rachel for being a mother of teenagers! So much good stuff in this one, it requires multiple viewings. And another excellent reaction, Jen!💙
Thanks for getting to this reaction Jennifer Didn't t think it was official until you added your take on this masterpiece Got Elizabeth Zharhoff(the charismatic voice) yourself all we re missing is Peter Baber!🎉😎🔥
It was interesting that Rachel had the only words of this video that I made out right at the end, “done” and “hmmnnph” and then turning, she sauntered off! HILARIOUS 🤗 I love VoicePlays’ theatrics!
Voiceplay and their abilities, always amazing. Your exitement while reacting, hilarious. This was pure fun, love it! 27:18 Jen, do you speak German with your kitten? "Sach ma hi, sach hallo" like a German might say with a bit of German dialect. At least for me it sounds that way...
My classical-loving heart was very happy when this was released. Once again, you and I were of the same mind during the initial reaction...voice and brain not communicating...so many things happening...music theory knowledge escaped...*random noises, lol
This is a classical Oogie Boogie. So much fun!! 😂 I love the story they tell with the book stealing and Rachel’s voice showing her irritation with the Grundels. Awesome reaction to an awesome piece. If you really want to see just how crazy Layne is, go watch his interview with Charismatic Voice where he breaks down his parts in this.
Toccata and Fugue in D Minor - J. S. Bach Disney's Fantasia used this for the opening of the movie in 1940 Eine kleine Nachtmusik - Mozart Used in The Scarlet Pimpernel 1939 Habanera from ''Carmen Suite No.2'' - Georges Bizet in Disney/Pixar UP also in Trainspotting Symphony No 5 in C Minor - Ludwig Van Beethoven in Breakfast Club, Austin Powers, Howard's End The Blue Danube Waltz - Johann Strauss II 2001: A Space Odyssey and Disney's The Jungle Book Dance of the Hours - Ponchielli Disney's Fantasia hippos do ballet Für Elise - Beethoven Rosemary's Baby 1968, Patch Adams, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, Django Unchained Thus Spoke Zarathustra - Richard Strauss 2001: A Space Odyssey Orphée aux enfers, Frensh Can Can ACT 5 - Offenbach Little Mermaid, Moulin Rouge Romeo and Juliet (Fantasy Overture) - Tchaikovsky V for Vendetta A Night on Bald Mountain - Mussorgsky Disney's Fantasia Peer Gynt Suite No. 1, "In the Hall of the Mountain King" - Grieg Night at the Museum, Needful Things.
I defy anyone to get to grips with all the sounds in this. Layne explained to The Charismatic Voice that he was working with something like 140 sound channels on his computer doing this. That crazy run down Rachel does in the Hall of the Mountain king section sounds very familiar, I'm sure I've heard it before from them but can't place it and no one else has mentioned it that I've seen. I'm not sure Geoff ever looks panicked. I'd say mildly disturbed. :)
I feel like the fact Rachel's voice is in spots where she's not actively singing is both to further her exasperation at having to put up with these meddlesome oafs, because her facial expressions, while also maybe implying her control over the magic in the book, so she's able to sing without singing, or something like that.
Spike Jones and his Cityslickers put out an LP.... (remember those..lol) of "Spike Jones is Murdering the Classics"......along the same theme, but with instruments, hijinx, and musical 'fallout'...check it out on UA-cam....>^^
I think they are saying something like "ha et acolé" in the background at 20:00 it sounds as if they were trying to emulate a language, just as Eli did at 26:29
So, you are the first reactor to wonder if they were saying words. So, listen when Layne is giving Reachel the book back, I think he is saying "for my mama." Of course no one agrees, but wouldn't it be cool for Layne to do a little classical for his mama since he started violin at age 4 and have him slip that in for her. I still think I hear it.
I love how Geoff is like: "Lord, give me strength" at the love part between Rachel and Layne
Cesar doing the Can-Can, I just can't. 🤣🤣🤣
....or is it can't-can't? I'm sorry. I'll go away now. 🤪
