Thanks for the video. What material did you use to make the inner box? I see that you used silicone on the right angle joints of the box. Will that silicone bond with your final silicone pour when making the final silicone mold?
Loved this video from beginning to end. I am going to give it a go. Curious if you could help me narrow down which silicone you used from Smooth-On. They have so many different options. Thanks, Oscar
I am Sri Lankan. Thank you very much for your silicone mold making videos. It is very important for us. But can I know again about the ingredient and quantities you use for those product. Thanks for help me.
Great video, I went to the website listed but having a hard time navigating it for buying silicone to make a mold. Any way you could post which kind you use for wood and epoxy creations?
Did you pressure pot the silicon? The site recommends vacuum degassing, but I don’t have one and wanted to know how crucial it was to the curing quality?
Hi! If I have a model of 18 mm thickness, 500 length and 200 width, how thick to make the sides of silicone mold, so it does not deform when filled with resin? Would 5-7mm be enough, what do you think?
This is awesome. Would you be willing to share the type of silicone you used for this project? Was it the OMOO series or the mold max? Additionally, if it was mold max, which of the 13 do you recommend?
Awesome video. Thanks for show us amateurs how doable this really is. Couple of questions though. How much of the silicone did it take for your pour I can calculate but am just lazy. Also, do you use any type of mold release agent either when pouring the silicone or making your boards (which are beautiful by the way)? I also assume you did not have to worry about small amounts of trapped air in the silicone before pouring.
This was not the video described in the title. You hardly mention anything about how the container or cavity of the mold was made. This should have been called "How to make a beautiful tray from a mold"
I would be happy to do a longer format video on the conatiner making, It's just a box inside another box with an open top. I put in the overlay text caption the materials used, which is HDPE. Thanks for the suggestions!
@@RescuedWoodCo Considering I was searching “How to make a silicone mold” and yours was amongst the first videos listed, then yes, a bit disappointing to see so little time and information shared on that.
This is great, was wondering if you might be able to shed some light on creating a large cylinder type mold I want to get? Happy to discuss or message me and I’m happy to pay for the process if you’re interested cheers and appreciate the video!
@@RescuedWoodCo thanks. I couldnt figure out how to change my comment lol a whole gallon for that mold. Still saving being able to use it over and over. Thanks a bunch for this video!!
Please sir could you make me a 5 foot one? How much would it cost me I’m really trying to start a resin hobby please help me out if you can you are awesome❤️💋🌹🌹🌹
I think i'm going to start a service that just equalizes sound for UA-camrs that have no idea how to make it so I don't have to turn my volume up and down every 20 seconds.
My only negative, is the difference between the sound of your speaking voice and the music. Set the volume for your voice and then when it changes to music, just about blast your ear drums☹️
Extremely helpful, exactly what I was looking for! Thanks!
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience
Radek's Workshop thank you Radek!!

1\2 mold construction 1/2 charcuterie build. Would like video on making the mold w/out the music. Just my 2 cents. 😊😊😊
You really didn’t mention how you made the silicone form and what you made it from
Awesome 👌!!! Would you make one of those molds ro sell??
Did you pressure pot the silicon? The site recommends vacuum degassing, but I don’t have one and wanted to know how crucial it was to the curing quality?
I did not pressure pot! Worked out fine. sorry for delayed reply!

Sure, this was mold max 27T 1 gallon
Did you degass it?
What do you think of large mold for table tops for coffee table, dining table? Do you think it will be reliable considering the size of project?
For a coffee table it would be fine, craftedelements sells really large sizes. Dining table would be too expensive, lots of silicone!
I understand that you have to make sure your surface is level before pouring, but once you pour does the silicone self level?
Yes! It does self level.
@@RescuedWoodCo nice thanks for the reply… now I need to build me some
Nice. How much silicone did you use to make a mold that size?
1 full gallon! sorry just saw this comment!
Did you use silicone rubber tin cure or silicone rubber platinum cure

Sorry for not responding sooner! This used 1 gallon of silicone. Yes I use mold release when pouring epoxy, I spray the mold release first.
I can imagine these as cupboard doors.
What is the name of the machine that you used to even the board…I’m sorry I’m new at this.

Hiii,
Is it possible to do a slower in depth version of making the mold? For us DIY adventurers.
What is the inner box made from?
How long do these moulds last?
Not long enough for me, I only got like 20 pours! I recommend purchasing them from craftedelements, cheaper and easier!
@@RescuedWoodCo I'm in europe

Silicone is very expensive, This one was $200 in materials. A 5 foot one would be over $700 in materials + labor so around $1000 total.
Do you sell these moulds coz I m willing to buy
From where i can purchase this silicon

Too cool..I’d like to buy 1.. approx 24x18 inches.
Hit me up!!
✌️😊
Do you make silicone molds to sell?
I is just as cheap to buy a mold after looking at the cost of the silicone.
