This is super rad. Really helps with consolidating expression pedals. Similar to controlling rate on the univibe patch, I love assigning expression control to rate on a high depth tremolo - some good volume swell-y action.
@@LeonTodd the wah, volume combo reminded me of the old " do you feel like I do?" Frampton Voice box.love it. Gonna try it later when I get to the house.
That's a good trick. I've been using wah and whammy but turning the effects on as needed manually with my FC12. I'm fine without autoengage but maybe that's because I don't gig.
Can't do it in the FM3, but using the pedal to fade between two amp blocks is a good trick, and if you play with the knobs a bit in the modifier pane a bit, you can coax out a 'middle' region and get 3 distinct sounds on one pedal. If dialled in right, it's pretty easy to hit 'middle', as it ends up being the middle 1/3 of the pedal travel. This gets 'er done for virtually all my songs - as most need only two or three distinct sounds to get through the song's structure. A lot of them go through 'scenes' like VerseChorus/Bridge/Solo, some go Intro/VerseChorus/Solo, a couple go Verse/Bridge/Solo, but all of them are super smooooooove and gap free. Thanks to Nicolas Desmarest for the video last summer for the how-to! I guess you could fake the amp cross-fade with the mix on a drive's output in the FM3, though, and get something similar going on.
This has been on my to do list for a while but seeing as a few people there misunderstood how it worked I figured it might be a good time to get it done
I'm startin to think LT leads a double life, one as the happy go lucky guitarist for Ragdoll and the other is a Fractal Audio Secret Agent... 😂🤣🤘🤘
Creative methods in pairing the expression pedal with the FM3. Nice walk through. I like it! 👍
Who knew! What a great feature I had no idea about. I was even thinking about buying another pedal for volume. Thanks so much, Leon.

Oooh I need to try that!
Thanks Leon, that's such a cool practical idea.
Thanks leon, easy to understand and I LOVE delay...also, the rag doll songs ARE AMAZING! KINGS X has some brothers.
Thankyou mate! Kings X for life!
Great ideas, Thanks so much for sharing. Opens a whole new dimension for me. Keep Rocking! Leon.
My pleasure! Delay feedback is a really fun one to mess with as well.

Thank you Leon. Which expression pedal do you recommend for the III?
Rhyme of the Ancient Rolling Black Water
Eyes of the Confessor
Kinda saddens me that I cant do this with an AX8. Ah well, still a cool unit.
2:00 - an admirable attempt at suppressing 'wah face'. :)

@@NudnikShpilkus I used to do that exact trick on my AX8 and it worked great
Did you make this video in response to the posts over on TGP?
