This video is really well made. Thanks for all the info without making it too long. One thing I have to say : That RTX Noise Suppression kicks Ass , holy shit it's too good . Fixes all the problems !!
Thanks for this vid! I was struggling to stop my other half’s voice cutting off when her pitch went high due to her laughing. This explains it really well and solved our problem.
Actually well explained video compared to others out there. I appreciate the in depth explanation for what the settings and sliders are actually doing, instead of just brushing over it. I didn’t know that the order of the filters was important.
Extremely thankful for this video. My mic now sounds at least a solid 11/10. Also, if your mic sounds like it's "wavy" (the best I could describe it), push the Expander threshold slightly to the right until the weird wavy thing goes away.
If you have issues making it show up, make sure you install to this path: "C:\Program Files\VSTPlugins" OBS for one is hardcoded to only look up VST files with that pathing.
This is great. I have a Movo VXR10 Universal Cardioid Condenser Video Microphone I switched to and the compressor & expander instructions make it sound even better! Thanks
this video is a godsend!! just applied these settings to a less than $30 headset and i'm so impressed. i imagine it'll be even better when i use it on my yeti nano, thank you SOOOO much!!!!
Dope tutorial thank you. I spent less than $200 total for Samson Q2U with the m track duo audio interface and xlr cable. Plus your filter suggestions and it sounds very good for a fraction of the cost of higher end mic set ups.
I was watching your streamlabs video for these settings and my dumbass changed the install location first time around so i spent like 2 hours trying to figure out why i couldnt get the vst to pop up only to find this video only to see you actually do the install so i could see which files you installed on. Bless
Help me a lot and i just bought new mic B800 and its cheap, but I have a hard time to set up and now I found your video has the most details and guide step by step with a very clear guide, you have better content than all other that I try and not working well setting. I also do a game guide for the mobile game, really have to learn your details and willingness to help other to success!
Thank you so much for this tutorial! Your videos have increased the quality of my content immensely; it's noisy in my household but thanks to your videos it's barely audible. I can't thank you enough.
Oh my goodness! Thank you so much for this video! I've been trying to setup my stream to where it doesn't pick up my keyboard clacking away! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you! Keep up the great content just subbed and liked!
So I downloaded the Marvel GEQ and when I go to the filters to select it as the plug in I do not see Marvel GEQ. Do you have any trouble shoot solutions to fix this?
Great video. Helped a lot. I have always struggled with OBS mic settings. I mean, I have set it to get the job done, but the plugin filter and the other filters I never used much seem to have improved my audio through the mic. Now if they just made a plugin to actually change my voice to sound like Walter Kronkite or something, I would have it made. lol. I suggest with a mic like the Tonor 30 you turn windows record volume to 75 first; otherwise it will constantly sound horrible despite filters. But that is very microphone specific and something Tonor 30 owners should already know..
@@flamerzzzz Yeah, mine works best between 60 and 75. Right now I have it at 65 in windows and then adjusted in OBS from there. Anything over 75 on most computers makes it sound like stanky garbage.
Personally I would cut everything under 80 Hz, this will help eliminate some noise. Of course if your voice dips under 80 Hz (I can reach 80 If I'm trying), you might need to find the best spot to to cut down from.
Thanks for this video this helped a ton. The one thing I couldn't do is the app. Every thing else worked out very well especially my background because before I had a ton of background noise and now I don't thanks this helped a lot with my microphone. I have subscribed to you and post notifications as well and liked the video as well. Thank you.
Great video - I ended up skipping on the compressor because my mic is so close to my keyboard that to remove keyboard from activating it is to remove my voice. But noise suppression seems very good and gets rid of the majority of typing sounds anyway! I'm not noticing a huge difference from the noise filters, but I do like the audio equalizing aspects of this tutorial, I always worry that things might be too quiet or too loud and now I can rest assured knowing it'll be good.
Awesome video! Had to do a system reload this week and needed to reload OBS and reset my filters. This video was easy to follow and right to the point! Thank You so much! 👍
You don´t need the expander, you are only making quieter sounds louder. The compressor already levels your voice quite nicely. On the EQ you might wanna apply a low cut between 60 - 80Hz. Another plugin that I use is a DeVerb, it removes the echo/reverberation from your room and your voice sounds more clear and dry.

This was awesome, thank you. I did find that changing the Expander ratio to 4 cut me off a little so I left it on the default of 2.

Hi I followed the older video you made and that video helped me so much, and thank you for your help.
this video was fantastic, although i had to set my limiter to -6 the order of filters was really helpful and my $10 earpiece sounds great now thanks!
Is there any other version of Vox. Because that didn’t work for me on Mac
Thanks for the knowledge OG

does the plug in work on streamlabs obs? because mine doesnt
with the rtx noise suppressor you don't need to add a expander anymore huh? it works so goooood!!!!
Why use the expander and RTX noise suppression? when the Noise suppression does the same thing? honest question.

is noise suppreesion is really recommended?
Really good video, I had to adjust my mic volume in windows to 82 instead of 100 to sound clear. Other than that it was a really informative video.
