It makes my skin peel. Is that what you mean by flaking? Like I feel like old skin cells are literally peeling off and falling away. I just make sure to use an exfoliating sponge like the Real Techniques one I talked about. Retinoids can be drying though, in my experience.
I've seen this brand around and also thought it was black owned. Rapid repair has piqued my interest because of the retinol as I've been searching for a good one. Tried TO's retinol emulsion/oils and broke out for months hoping it was just purging. Not ready to try differin yet. Next on my research list is Paula's choice retinol booster and urban rx thanks to your review, thank you!
I had the same experience with The Ordinary's retinoids. Where does the purging end and the breakouts begin? Whatever it was, it was leaving PIH and I wasn't willing to continue use and push through it. Paula's Choice Booster line is on my radar.
No I didn't. It doesn't contain the type of ingredient that usually causes that reaction, but everyone's skin is different. Are you experiencing purging?
Simply Ije yes, out of their line , I’m only using the cleansing bar. Then I’m using the naturium niacinamide serum , tony moly moisturizer. All these are new tbh. Then I use the neutrogena hydroboost sunscreen which I need to change cause it makes me greasy.
Does the dark spot serum dry you out, make you flake? I find it extremely drying. It’s hard to even tell if it’s working for my dark spots.

Do you use the rapid spot treatment at night?
Yes I just started using it a few weeks ago. I want to test it out for a while before I review it.

Differin is amazing! I’ve had really great results with it.
BeautyFrenzy Blog I had the same experience. I started using Differin and it cleared it up
Pls did you purge when you used the bar

Simply Ije yes I am , Ive seen an increase in little bumps and pimples on some parts of my face.
Simply Ije at least I think it’s purging
Are you using anything else that's new in your routine? That usually happens with a retinol but should subside within a few weeks of use
