When i first found square one, i was like, "Um, boring, and what's up with the Joe Satch ripofff? 😆" Then i started listening and realized "Woah! this dude is dropping serious chess wisdom in a way i (1100 rated) can understand and benefit from!" THank you, square one!🙏
i find your comment ironic because your giant sunglasses in a brightly lit room are exactly the strange fashion choices an alien would make if it were here in a humanoid body
Thanks! That's my goal! Its always a balancing act between not fully explaining why moves are played and too much information -- so I'm always trying to improve
Not sure wat others see but after about 15 vids of yours I see Magnus attacks from left and right at the same time while his opponents keep trying to take the centre totally confusions and overwhelming his opponents
The only chess master that Magnus could never beat... he crushed Magnus in every game... a real person, not a computer. ua-cam.com/video/GMuA3yi-kB0/v-deo.html
I love the breakdown of possible lines that Square One explains. I agree that "less is more" but for me Square One dances all over that maxim with glorious balance.
@@squareonechess6939 Not this obvious. The "errors" he makes are much more subtle. I've noticed there is a lot of this at this level. It's an intentional "mistake" because he thinks the player's rating is too low. It's a hand-up.
We can’t thank you enough for being direct and to the point. You’re doing great things here
Thank you!

I very much appreciated the commentary and the quick pace ... great job and thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Commentary is poetry
Wow, thank you!
D4 is antipositional move yes he limits oponents bishop but still limiting your own bishop too?
That Queen sacrifice @16:40 was sweet
What a move.. i could never😂😅

Ha ha! Good comment lol
Bro! Probably a Joe Satriani reference to "Surfing with the alien"!
I like this commentator
You are the best commentator I have listened to. Talking about every single important detail. Thank you ❤❤

Best commentary❤
Love the commentary and the analysis, brilliant chess channel.
Would love it if you would analyse a few Capablanca games!
"...Without getting bogged down in too many variations"?...Too late lol

chess.com or lichess.org are both good
I think you're missing a visit check and then Rook takes Rook check and then Bishop back to F5
I guessed it at once. Son of Carl is human, but thanks.
Trying to imagine what the melody is
Before Carlsen's move he had hair!
Why they are name hidden player's
you should put the lines on the board, not just explain and draw the arrows...
What a game!
Cabon based vs Silicon based. Who wins?
Snowflake is. Hans Nieman but don’t tell anyone
01:00 - "VAY-pid?" - Why the A sound?
why the sunglasses?
Really like your videos
Thanks! I'm learning a lot by making them!
sack the queen :)
half carbon-based life...half amazing
You are very good with words, but I'm not sure about "vape-id". Isn't it "vappid"?

Nice.
Way too much commentary with possibilities... Less is more
I love the breakdown of possible lines that Square One explains. I agree that "less is more" but for me Square One dances all over that maxim with glorious balance.
Magnus doesn't "miss" anything. I get so tired of people claiming Magnus missed this or that just to stroke their own ego
You don't think Magnus makes tactical errors?

Too much speculative talking
I think you're confusing him with Dr. Mike.
I do strive to keep my commentary to minimum during my chess commentating
Square One strikes a beautiful balance between educating and entertaining us.
