- In this episode, I'm visiting Nick Bevan's garage of midschool delights where his collection of bikes reside. There he has a Standard, a King, a Basic and several S&Ms, all done to how Nick imagines that he would have had them himself back in the day. There's also a TV with a close to complete collection of Props videos and a few more besides. It's also where he has a small stash of small parts, tyres an other miscellaneous parts.
We talk a little about each one and some of his methods of sourcing
If you like what you see, please do like, comment, subscribe and share and if you're interested in having your collection featured here on Now That's Midschool, please do drop me a line on here, on Instagram at @nowthatsmidschool or via email at nowthatsmidschool@gmail.com. It is UK collections only for now but in the future, I do have hopes getting further afield.
I'm constantly picking up on areas of improvenment to the channel where filming and editing are concerned but I am confident that improvements in these areas will be along with each new episode. Speaking of which, Keith Brazier's collection and Jonathan Sherwood's collection are pencilled in for a visit so stay tuned for those.
If you want to hear more of The Rodians music (intro and outro) you can check them out at @therodians here on UA-cam, The Rodians on Spotify and @therodians over on Instagram. I sing sing praise for their music enough! They have a real midschool vibe to them!
Thanks for coming matt, next time we will crack on in to the container
🤪
Brilliant work Matt
Thanks Matt. I've already invested in a bit more hardware that should bring further improvements to the vids! 🤘🤘
awesome! im really looking forward to moving house and having you over once all my gear is displayed correctly and not just stored away in my loft
Thanks man! Bring it on, I say! 🤘🤘
Ahhh, the Sluggo. Nick and I spent HOURS talking about that. When it came out I ran a BMX shop in London. We got in a Sluggo in beige with green decals. It never did sell. When I left it was still hanging on the wall. Another fantastic video boys, and a pleasure to watch. Hilariously the red seat on the Standard arrived with me today :D
Thanks man!! It's mad how something like this with Standard DNA in it never got the love it should have. I like 'em!
There's a "Small town hick(96)" somewhere in Leeds district, and a Big Daddy(95) over in Bradford! Which were stolen in 1997 and 1998!
Being scally's they probably had no idea how much they were worth, probably swapped them for a 1/4 of weed or similar😭
@mr_ozzio When you think back to all the bikes that you heard got stolen back in the day, from riders who knew what they had, it makes you want to cry. It's probably a lot easier to track stolen BMX bikes down today because it's so much bigger with more participants willing to keep an eye out.
beautiful , thank for sharing my friend
Stay tuned for more of the good stuff! The next episode is going to be epic!
What a cracking collection!! Looking forward to the next episodes! 🤘
Amazing friend
That sandm menstrual cycle Fram stem and fork demands high price. Dint let thst go cheap. Is by far Sanm 's most rare frame stem fork combo here in the states
I used to hang out and Ride with Moliterno in KC in 86-87 when he was on Hutch and then went to HAro almost daily. Long before standard was a company.
Amazing! You were there as a bona-fide legend was making moves! It's amazing to know he's still killing it on the 20 inch to this day too. 💪
Sick collection!!
Agreed!
Nice story cool collection
Cheers michael
Yeah, thanks Michael!
I love wishbone seat-stays, why don't we see them much anymore on modern frames, the only one I've seen lately is the Subrosa Wild child V2, cool looking frame 💯💥💥💥👌
Thanks Ian! I'm a big fan of wishbones myself. I guess that the simple answer is rear triangles are so short now, the difference in flex between a short wishbone and a stay bridge will be pretty much negligible.
Look at all that eye 👁️ candy 😱
Feast dude!!
@@nowthatsmidschool yup 😂😯
That s&m is a 1992 with those decals and 990sive got a 1995 with the same decals. Would send a photo but it's youtube guys
Interested in the cam wood frame hanging up. 21 tt length? Or sandm bennet? 21 tt length? Also dirtbike 21 tt
Can you ask guests why they like/collect the particular bikes? #s&m #standard #t1 #bmx
In the next episode featuring Keith Brazier's collection, there's a bunch more talk about collecting, and the episode following that with Jonathan Sherwood, we do the same. The finished episodes and the content really depends on the collector and how much they wish to be in front of the camera.
So yeah, we get into it with the next 2 episodes. 🙏
I know space is at a premium over in the UK but if this guy had a massive garage, how many bikes would he have?
I suspect that it would be at the very least, double in size! 🤔
Hey men I want to buy it how much
