Martin .. some people just don’t need friends .. .. maybe you are more of a spiritual person and happy just with your own family and own company .. no need to justify having close friends .. you are a good person and as long as you are happy with your life that is all that matters.
I lost my mum almost 2 years ago and i arranged everything for her funeral but then while at her funeral i had this unwelcoming feel and it felt like i hadn't arranged it
My mum and dad had one friend, they were each others friends. We are lucky enough to have the neighbour's as true friends, more like family now too, the only one we have lol Now it's just me, mum and Tracie and we're ok with that! Funerals aren't for the dead by the way, they're for the living to celebrate their friend/faimily member. At my dads funeral we kept it basic, he didn't even want one but I explained it was for those he left behind. He chose the crematorium, he was already there so they didn't need anyone else to carry the coffin in. We did songs he loved and had a link for people to watch is live if they can't make it. Worked out good!! ❤️🔥
