- It's a big topic this week as Roman asks all the questions regarding Martin's health. It's no secret that Martin has had his fair share of health scares in the past, as he dealt with two brain tumours in the 90s. With this as the focus, Roman has made it his mission to know everything health-related when it comes to his Dad, including what part of him goes grey first ...
FFS! My Dad Is Martin Kemp, this has been an Insanity Studios production.
I remember visiting my uncle in hospital and he told me Martin Kemp was in the next room and that he had a brain tumour. I was so worried about both of them. Glad he made a full recover as my dad had died of a brain tumour in 1991.😢
I love the banter between Martin and Roman, I could sit and chat with them for ages
well I nearly lost my bladder watching this. hilarious
Funny as f...
This is a really good father / son relationship. Not something many of us experience. I have a lot of admiration for Martin Kemp. The definition of a standup guy.
I love these podcasts. I’m a 48 year old woman that giggles about farts like a kid so this had me cracking up. I love the way Martin laughs when he’s trying to tell Roman a story, he finds it so funny he can’t get it out 😂 that’s what I do too. I rate you 5 stars all day long 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟 xx
I'm 67 and I laugh so much at fart related stuff I cry!!
Haha 😂😂
I don’t, I’m a prude with farting & burping! Typically English/French lady that hates farting & burping makes me feel sick. Each to their own!
@florence1395 oh Flo you need to chill !! 😂
First time I’ve listened, enjoyed that. Incidentally I have been living with my dad for over 2 years taking care of him. He was 91 10 days ago. Physically he’s a bit frail but very healthy. Unfortunately he has mixed dementia with virtually no short term memory. But, I am enjoying the time finding out more about his childhood, his family, ‘during the war’ etc. it’s all important stuff. Great listen, thanks
You guys are talking about really important, serious things in the most hilarious way. The way you interact with each other is fantastic. The fact that neither of you knew Martin's age was priceless. I was cracking up so many times. Love your podcasts so much. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Roman is absolutely correct: loud farts do not smell. It‘s the secret ones that really stink. At least I would say that over my dog. He let‘s one go and then leaves the room. See that action and you know what‘s coming.
Another great talk guys. Love it x
Love these podcasts. Keep them coming.
Love this. Two of the greatest guys.
I love these two. There is nothing off the table and they have such great banter. It is so entertaining and informative
This was absolutely brilliant...what a brilliant fantastic dad you have! 🌟🌟👍
What a podcast....Two lovely guys who entertain, inform..and make you laugh out loud. Keep them coming❤
I love watching these podcasts, your relationship is beautiful and so much fun to watch. You are hilarious together. My mum also had a brain tumor when i was young and it was never really spoken about. I need to start asking more questions.Thank you for what you are doing i would watch you everyday 🎉
I'm a newbie to this channel and have to say I love it. I lost my dad in an RTA when I was 12 (I'm now 47) and there are so many things I wanted to talk to him about or ask him, especially when I was growing up, but I never got the chance. Life really is too short so ask those questions, spend time with your parents and love them because you just never know.
Fantastic pod, keep them coming.
Absolutely loved this podcast, Martin has a wicked sense of humour and infectious laugh 😂 really cheered me up I'm 64 and was a fan of Martin Kemp thanks for sharing xxxxxx
You two are amazing .. very enjoyable indeed x
Loved this and all the others podcasts. Your relationship is just like my 3 adults sons with their dads. They can talk about anything, absolutely anything, they laugh, they feel what each other is feeling, they all have the most wonderful and beautiful relationships with their dad. We have been together for 40 years next year. We met in ‘85 married in ‘87. We always said before we had children that we want our children to choose who they want to be, do what the want to do and most of all be happy and in whatever way we can help them achieve that we will, and I would like I think we have. You both have a very real, healthy relationship as does our sons with my husband. Well done for what you are doing, give me more!
This is without doubt the best podcast I have ever heard! The connection between these two is just amazing. I haven’t laughed so much in ages. Thank you both ❤
I love you too. Roman you are the straight man whilst Martin is the chaos falling into the gigles. So infectious keep it up❤❤
Enjoying the podcasts guys keep them coming .
This has been fantastic I know your dad in the band I grew up in the 80s fantastic time that was great band
Loved this, funny and serious all rolled into one. The tumour was a learning curve 😮 the fact that the large tumour alerted to the smaller more intrusive one was extremely lucky. Always good to know sun screen is worth the effort lol ty
Best thing I’ve heard in ages. I haven’t stopped giggling, im 52
Listening to “The living years” by Mike and the Mechanics”..great message for families..
This song tears me up. It's exactly me and my dad.😢
Brilliant and i love your dad. Hes got a wicked sense of humour
This brightened my day and Martin was spot on with the life advice
F**king love listening to you guy's keep them coming ....
Absolute legends!

Loved this, such a special relationship ❤
Love how honest and funny and down to earth they are ❤
This is hysterical, love it!!🤣🤣❤️❤️
You two are hilarious together. I'm 55 and have only started talking to my mum and dad about their health , thanks to watching you both. I too have been rocked with health conditions, two of them serious. But you have got such a positive view on things and life, it really has made me change my feelings towards the cards we are dealt in life.. (although there is no way i rubbing willy bits all over me chops 😂😂). I was crying with laughter when you were talking about farting. Looking forward to many more podcasts. Love to you both and your lovely family xx
I'm 48 and still live at home with my Mum due to me having Mental Health Problems and my Mum is my carer. We laugh about female problems such as continence but my Mum at the moment is experiencing multiple health problems and as a daughter it is both worrying and upsetting.
I only just found and subscribed to your channel. I saw the show of the road trip you both did and loved that. You both have a great relationship and asking /discussing great subjects. We’re the same age Martin so it’s interesting to hear you talk about how things were for us growing up. Also the way everything was a secret. SBD (silent but deadly farts) 😂🤣 Look forward to watching the next cast 👏🏻🌟❤️
Love you both. Being old Martin, Gary and Shirley were my favourites. ❤❤xx
Fergus Dublin Ireland
Brilliant, just brilliant!

OMFG I just stumbled across this, you guys are hilarious, love you two. And BTW my Dad used to eat lard on toast 😅
I love your podcast Roman you and your dad's relationship is fantastic, I am a 51 year old woman and I grew up listening to spandle I still love them still love the 80s Martin is an inspiration to us all. On the subject of using face cream I cleanse, moisturise, put on eye cream I've used it morning and night since I was younger and continue to do so now, my daughter always says I've got amazing skin so Martin your dad is right it does help 😀
Me too use EVLOM cleanse, & AHA & moisture products & I’m 65 & I have skin better than most 40 yr olds. Never had Botox or anything else!
@@florence1395 I use whatever cream I happen to have beside the bed twice a day if I’m lucky but usually once a day. I’m 56 and my skin is fine, probably better than my three daughters. I did have a daughter ask me a few weeks ago what I used as my skin looked good. When I told her she was gobsmacked. Soap and water (liquid) and cream. That’s it. It’s all I’ve used since I first became a mum at 21. No time for much else.
My photo was taken last summer.
One word...brilliant
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 loved this. Thank you both 🥰🇦🇺
I am thoroughly enjoying this series. Thank you. Been listening to the podcast. Loved the parties episode. I would love to hear you talk about friendships - how to navigate friendship - what happens when it goes bad. I know you have all lost wonderful friends, but what advice do you have about friendship.
Great talk I really enjoyed how honest Martin was being !! Can I just say Martin you have lovely arms and hands looks like Roman has inherited his from you
Really enjoyed this
Great interview both really funny enjoyed it thank you for sharing ❤😊
This is the first time I’ve watched this and it made me laugh so much. I actually lived in the same area as Martin and Shirley and would often see them out and about. I once literally bumped into Martin in Tesco near the Aquadrome whilst looking for coleslaw..lol Those beautiful eyes are so much better when you see them up close for real. 😊
I really enjoyed the banter between
you both. Absolutly amazing.😊😂❤❤❤😅❤❤❤
I’m 43 ow and your dads advice is brilliant.
Love this pod 💗
I love love this I was cry laughing with your dad about his fart story in the band 😂

5 stars. Great podcast!
OMG you two crease me up😂I have not laughed so much since before covid! Thank you so much👍😂🇬🇧 stay well Martin❤
Born in 83, my first introduction to Martin’s career was snippets of videos of Spandau but more when he was in Eastenders. Then he did a drama on ITV as a cop but can’t remember the name of it. But in 2015 I got to see Spandau live at the O2 on St Patrick’s Day, they were brilliant. But didn’t know until many years ago he was brilliant friends with George Michael through Shirley obviously. Fantastic career and a nice guy and love the banter between him and Romeo
I saw Spandau Ballet at The Eden Project in Cornwall in 2015 and they were amazing.
Brilliant, brilliant, so relatable, I m 62 , my twin kids are 31, so the experiences are very similar,
There’s not much that makes me properly laugh out loud but this did. Honestly, hilarious! 😂
I remember dripping sandwiches and sugar on bread and butter
I love how you and your dad get on so well you both are so funny together. I've been a fan of your dad for years i loved his music too.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Enjoyed this every bit
Made me laugh
love the down to earth truth 👍
So very funny you both are, good information also 5 stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟 both of you fantastic 🏴
That's so funny about the log love your dad my favourite one of the band, eighties was the best ever music scene ❤
Loved him in the film the crays fantastic.❤❤
Its soooooo great to be open and honest...more like mates than father and son...
I really wish I would have done some videos with my Mum and Dad....
They would have been a great laugh, ( good advice with playful banter)😅😂😂
Martin is right, we were kept in the dark about things, our saying was kid's were seen and not heard 😢... You two make me laugh 🤣🤣🤣 about the grey pubic hair at 35😂 and shaving with plastic blade's 😅😅😅 you're so honest Xxx I've never laughed so much in my life! You too are so close it's fantastic 🤩❤😅
Can't believe i didn't know about this found it today and have watched 3 and my only review is your relationship is beautiful to see xxx
Love this!
Absolutely brilliant. Love listening to you guys x
Always nice when you talk about George as a fan of his
Love your podcast 😂😂😂😂
What a great relationship they have. They had me in fits, the honesty is so real with father and son, so beautiful. Martin is so good looking, self aware, and down to earth. I am sorry but that hat???
Love this.. ❤️ so funny.. xx
I love these 5 out of 5
Thank you to the both of you I’m laughing my backside off about your farts so thanks 😂😂😂
Really good dripping on toast with a sprinkling of salt ...... delicious (when I was a nipper).
This was interesting, candid, funny, and relatable. Thank you 😊
Love his parents. Shirley's a legend, Martin is a legend and they've been together for years. Lovely family, lovely people !! I wish people were more sturdy now. Everyone's a crybaby now, it's ridiculous.
10 star's easily....Roman, what a lovely dad you have, you are a lucky young man, but I think you already know that.
I refer you gentlemen to Billy Connelly & he thought the nether regions going grey make everything look distinguished. A very wise Big Yin. Tee Hee, love this😂
Dripping & salt sandwiches were the bomb, we had them for tea in the 1960’s, I felt full of energy after eating those 😁
This is interesting. Enjoyed it. Hope you do more.
was hoping to see pics of yr tumor Mr Smelly Farts 💨👍
5 star.. loved Martin from his band playing days and now love Roman. Oh and Shirley, obviously 🙄
What about Harley, the daughter/sister.
That was the funniest fart conversation ever made me lol😂😂
This podcast is so funny I’m a 61 year old woman who’s body has given up on me due to a number of health problems but I have mind all I do is laugh listening to this with his son it’s fantastic
😅 love this hilarious 💞
JUST BRILLIANT BOYS X
Brilliant 😊
Yes they still sell lard. I’ve seen it in Sainsbury’s and Tescos.
Great podcast. Ask your Dad about his childhood and schooling and being a young man prior to the band.
Plastic blades? No. I use a Mach3 razor with 3 metal blades. Very quickly learnt not to cut myself. 😉
I used to love dripping sandwiches 😅. Loved listening to these two and watching them laugh together.
My parents used to have dripping from the meat lamb pork and beef with bread and the juices used to be added for the gravy… Personally I think the older generation were healthier they ate from the land before pesticides and preservatives were added…
I agree with you happy bunny
It's how it used to be... before all this cheap processed stuff... Underground winter food... over ground food in the summer...eg salads... nobody had strawberrys in the winter...
Love this so funny 😀😂🤣
This was so funny! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
My dad died when I was 14 with a brain tumour and then my mum died with 3 brain tumours .
I was holding my mum when she passed away. I wished I had asked her many questions. 😢
You can see they are best mates as well as father and son ❤️
