Kevin Aucoin did my friend’s makeup. She NEVER WORE MAKEUP. His buddy did her hair. He cut and styled her thick mane to perfection. When I saw her, I was taken aback. She looked like a model or movie star. She had great bone structure. And the makeup was not heavy at all. She hated the look. But trust me she had never looked better before or since. Kevin was the sweetest man in the world. What a loss.
This is brilliant and exactly what I need to do. It’s like I hit 45 and boom my eyes have become even more hooded and the more I tried the worse it looked. I was trying to bring the darkest color in further thinking that’s maybe what I needed and it just looks hideous. I will be dialing it back and following your tips.

Wayne the picture of me you see here is about 5 years old. I’ve lightened my hair and have it cut into a shag style. Ive gotten rid of foundation. I only use tinted moisturizer. This eye shadow technique is great! I think overall my new look is much more youthful and this technique is also more subtle and youthful.
Wide-set eyes here and this is fab! (And, the tiny lash "shadow" a great teaching point. I didn't actually notice the shadow 'til you mentioned it, tho)

I can create this exact look with the palatte you did for Paula's Choice way back in 2014.
I bought 2, one is unopened and the other ive always taken from the pan onto a tissue, so it's not contaminated.
Its in great condition for a 9yo palette lol. Cant wait to try this!

I LOVE this technique! I've been following you forever, and I absolutely love your content. I also love this palette and must get it! I've been dying to get a few of your brushes as well once I save enough to do so, b/c I have gotten very crepey eyelids on the outside over the past couple of years. I've been too scared to use any shimmer shadows due to my crepey lids, but I'm going to give it a try, b/c yours looks absolutely beautiful! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

I love watching Wayne because he follows his relative age group with his techniques. What works for 16yo doesn’t work for 46yo. I’m not there yet but there is a Givenchy quad I’ve had for a while with exactly these shades, sparkle included, which I’d like to give a second chance to.

Love this look, beautiful, classy and subtle. The only change I make is skipping the highlight shade under the outer eyebrow as my brow bone is VERY prominant in this spot already.

I have wanted to try the Duochrome looks for a while, but, I have very hooded eyes, do you have any techniques that would work? I love your straight line technique and use it all the time but I don't know if this would work with duochrome or not? thanks!

I would love to see a detailed video of "how to" put on lashes for ppl who haven't been able to get it. I have purchased several different types and still can't seem to get the placement correct. I even have difficulty if they need to be cut... they never come out right, ( ntm I have hooded eyes also. They all make it look so simple and being that it's at the end of your makeup routine, it can mess up everything. Not sure if this is something you would be interested in doing? I have watched many of the videos out and tried them with no 🎲 dice. It does get frustrating to say the least lol... If there's anyone that could teach us, I would bet on you!!! 💯💞💜

I'm a little late to your channel but want to let you know I appreciate your videos! Back in my day, Kevyn Aucoin was the makeup artist to beat until his untimely death. I still have two of his books. Times do change though. My main concern now is keeping healthy. I workout regularly and am outside a lot. I focus on keeping my hair and covering my face and body with clear and tinted sunscreen. I don't like white cast. Do you have suggestions for excellent, light weight, waterproof sunscreen(s)?
Hey I'm not Wayne, but I've tried a million sunscreens and I love the polyglutamic dewy sunscreen from The Inkey List. No white cast, hydrates, even acts as a primer, and leaves the most beautiful un-sunscreen-like glow!

I am 37 years old, a recovering addict 2 months and 2 years clean, after almost 20 years of alcohol, sex and drugs abuse. For many years I pretty much copied what I learned from my mom about beauty and makeup. During the first year of rehabilitation I was diagnosed with Atopic Dermatitis. Oh Wayne you really are the best at explaining eyeshadow placement. Please please could you do this sort of look on someone who has a massive amount of space between the mobile lid and the brow, I just don't know what to do between the crease and the brow 🙏, thank you x
