That's what scares me about the coming resurrection attempt. Percy was ultimately revived, but they had to get Orthax to bugger off first. Uk'otoa could be doing the same thing to Fjord.

The problem of having the orb is that an attack like this happened in the first place, and will likely happen again, should they not get it out somehow, and/or stay on the ocean for too long with it. Plus, the creatures didn’t get what they wanted by him dying, as evidenced by them trying to steal his body. If the goal was to kill him to take his soul, they probably would have just left after. This is devastating. I consider Fjord and Beau to be the unofficial leaders of the M9, and watching Fjord die as well as Beau's reaction to it is heartbreaking. But that is why I love D&D and this show. They all played the scene so beautifully despite what was happening, and really made you feel it.
Ya know, I fell asleep on the very Thursday this episode went live and I woke up towards the time where it ends like "Shit!" I went into Twitch and clicked on the episode... And the first thing I'm greeted with is Yasha letting out her battle cry at the sight of Fjord laying unconscious on the deck... That was a fun night.
the dream waking up into the combat is one of the best narrative descriptions in DND i have heard.... the description of the booming pain in his chest turning into the pain of the stab wound, the description of not being able to scream correlates to a victim of a punctured lung.... that whole dream/Uk'otoa scion reveal is just a masterclass in auditory storytelling, Love It!
You can actually see Travis and Marisha discussing at some point during the fight, they were like: "we should have Caleb make the dome spell around us for the rest of the trip
This was a brutal fight. I knew Fjord was probably gonna buy it from the second the fight started. Hopefully, the M9 will be able to revive him. I felt like I needed to give Travis a hug after this.
The chat that night was an absolute despicable shitshow. I got so mad seeing the chat screaming at Matt. These episodes are the best and most amazing. High Intense combat, an amazing story to back up the encounter (You didn't all expect Uk'otoa to just let him go after betraying him right??) and lots of emotion and "What do we do now?" People need to remember that it's not their game and to stop screaming at Matt. His doing an amazing job! If you can't handle emotional high intensive combat, then just don't talk. All power and love to Matt!
Interesting point of order. Death Saves typically are flat saves with zero bonuses possible. But they are still saving throws, and Yashas battlecry, which is divinely powered, grants advantage on saving throws, which I would have argued can apply on Death Saves.
Lowkey can you imagine if they'd missed a week or this had happened just a week later and we would have had to wait through the entire 3 month COVID hiatus to see if Fjord would get revived?
Does it mean that Vandrin is dead? Do the spheres imbeded in the followers of u'katoa go back to the temples where they were found if not collected? After Fjord died the creature tried to carve it out or take him away to extract it... So if it needs to be extracted that means that either Vandrin was found on the island and killed after abandoning his patron, or this creatures found Avantika in the waters after she was sentenced to death by the Plaint-King and thrown into the waters of Darktow
(On Episode 90 thought the video was gonna be about Okato’ah coming to his dreams again so bare with me) why can’t they use a revivify or other revival spells to bring fjord back?! Can I say: You did a wonderful job editing this already amazing scene! Absolutely great. :)
Thank you!
That whole combat scene gave me heart palpitations
Ya know, I fell asleep on the very Thursday this episode went live and I woke up towards the time where it ends like "Shit!" I went into Twitch and clicked on the episode... And the first thing I'm greeted with is Yasha letting out her battle cry at the sight of Fjord laying unconscious on the deck...
That was a fun night.
this was so tense oh my goodness. the way the music fits is amazing!!
Wow this was amazingly edited Nico! Great job capturing the drama and amazingness of this episode!
This was one of the best, if not THE best climax battle in both Campaigns 1 and 2.
Man, sucks I was like half asleep when this was live
I really love your videos because i have to watch the stream late and most of the time i fall asleep and miss the best parts thx for the videos
Like the scenes themselves were already tense and full of heartstrings moments but the music * chef's kiss * just intensified all the moments 10 fold
Very well put together. I always enjoy your work but this is next level work.
6:23 that look of love between Liam and Travis made me smile today. My two favorite guys in CR bromancing
the dream waking up into the combat is one of the best narrative descriptions in DND i have heard.... the description of the booming pain in his chest turning into the pain of the stab wound, the description of not being able to scream correlates to a victim of a punctured lung.... that whole dream/Uk'otoa scion reveal is just a masterclass in auditory storytelling, Love It!
Brooooo this gave me chills, amazing editing work!! 😍😍😍
Excellent edit!!
If this part weren't so spoiler-ific, I would use this video as a trailer to convince my friends to watch! Sooooooo good ♥
They need to have guard duty to diminish the chances of a sneak attack like this again. Also none of them should sleep alone or without armor.
Brent Hutchinson Matt said that if they sleep with armpit they would get a point of exhaustion.
You ever been out on the ocean at night in a storm? there is literally nothing they could have done to avoid this.
You can actually see Travis and Marisha discussing at some point during the fight, they were like: "we should have Caleb make the dome spell around us for the rest of the trip
Onyx Crescent I think that is the only thing they could have done but even the crew would have been attacked and it would have still been bad.
@@TheDangerousWonder Not to mention, they're out on the open ocean. Where are they gonna run?
This was a brutal fight. I knew Fjord was probably gonna buy it from the second the fight started. Hopefully, the M9 will be able to revive him.
I felt like I needed to give Travis a hug after this.
The chat that night was an absolute despicable shitshow. I got so mad seeing the chat screaming at Matt. These episodes are the best and most amazing.
High Intense combat, an amazing story to back up the encounter (You didn't all expect Uk'otoa to just let him go after betraying him right??) and lots of emotion and "What do we do now?"
People need to remember that it's not their game and to stop screaming at Matt. His doing an amazing job! If you can't handle emotional high intensive combat, then just don't talk.
All power and love to Matt!
This was a great edit! The music was perfect!
A bit late but Liam's face on the thumbnail is amazing.
Hey man, don't know if you read comments, but I love your content. Great edits, always the first thing I watch after an episode of CR
Thank you! I seriously appreciate all the support y'all show
Interesting point of order. Death Saves typically are flat saves with zero bonuses possible. But they are still saving throws, and Yashas battlecry, which is divinely powered, grants advantage on saving throws, which I would have argued can apply on Death Saves.
amazing editing, man
Perfect music for this video!
I was so stressed and worry for Fjord watching this! These guys are amazing
This is amazing. Great work
holy goodness
Hard agree
I see a little bit of Percy peaking through Jaffe at the end.
Great that you put music over it so we can hear less of what's happening :D
Lowkey can you imagine if they'd missed a week or this had happened just a week later and we would have had to wait through the entire 3 month COVID hiatus to see if Fjord would get revived?
An absolutely powerful episode
Does it mean that Vandrin is dead?
Do the spheres imbeded in the followers of u'katoa go back to the temples where they were found if not collected?
After Fjord died the creature tried to carve it out or take him away to extract it...
So if it needs to be extracted that means that either Vandrin was found on the island and killed after abandoning his patron, or this creatures found Avantika in the waters after she was sentenced to death by the Plaint-King and thrown into the waters of Darktow
This was a great edit
Watch Matt. Watch how excited he is whipping out that map.
Imagine if Travis said "You saved a counter spell for me?"
This needs to be animated this to EPIC of a scene
Matt is a sadistic genius, he put the group in a position where they gonna have to choose between Fjord and Orly!
Could you imagine if the episode before this was the quarantine episode?
Excellent choice of music.
*_Why does it have to be Fjord._*
because he is the one who played chicken with an eldritch abomination?
I .... should not of watched ... yet.
The ep is on my phone ready to watch, umm didn't expect ... 🥺 ... dang ...
Wow.. Ok... still at work ...
(On Episode 90 thought the video was gonna be about Okato’ah coming to his dreams again so bare with me) why can’t they use a revivify or other revival spells to bring fjord back?! We have to wait till Thursday to see but GAAAAH not the cowboy noble warlock knight! Is this what watching weakly feels like?! This SUCKS!
Don't worry, at a game point, two combat rounds are twelve seconds so the Nein hopefully won't waste the remaining forty eight
