It is very interesting to see how different people are. I went to England for 10 days with 15 L and it was more than enough. I either wash stuff by hand or do laundry in the hostel, so besides what I am wearing on the day I travel I just take 2x shirts, 1x leggings, 4x underwear, 3x socks, 1x hoodie. My toiletries fit in a 1 L bag. I did end up buying a shirt and 3 pairs of socks there so I didn't even use everything I took with me. It makes life so easy.
To save space in winter, you might want to substitute one fleece zipup sweater/jacket for the sweatshirts. That way, all you’ll need are a few short-sleeved and a couple of long-sleeved tee shirts that you‘ll wear underneath.
A strategy for your next trip: Any make up removers or toner can be dropped onto cotton rounds or balls and packed in a small ziploc (I’ve used the pill sized zip tops, as well as snack size). It just needs to be watery. You’ve made your own wipes! So more space allocated to liquids. Along with that, solid toiletries: soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion bar. Even smaller sized deodorant (but I’ve never seen antiperspirant in the bar form). I cut bars in quarters and bring what I need in a Matador or sisal bag. In cold, and I live in Colorado, so I know from cold, layers are your friend. So is an over layer (jacket, coat) with inner pockets. Keep traveling!
Roll all clothing into tight rolls, you’ll get more in. Put underwear/socks etc in as you pack, each item filling up small gaps so you don’t need the washing back taking up room. Same with toiletries, put individual little bottles into plastic bags and ease then into gaps around clothes 😀
True, that would help fit more! It was nice having everything organized in separate pouches though, especially since I was pulling my laptop out of my bag a lot on the flight / at the airport.
For next time, I’d say wear the sweats because leggings pack small. No lounge shorts for March in Cleveland, as a former Ohioan. It won’t be warmer than 55 degrees. You can also separate dry toiletries into separate pouches to fit into nooks and crannies. Assuming your mom has a washer and dryer, you really only needed a couple shirts and could do laundry. But you adjusted as you went along and it worked out!
You could wear both sweatshirts and jacket/coat onto the airplane, then take your coat off and one of the sweatshirts, roll or fold them up, and you can use them as back cushioning and that way you have an extra sweatshirt for your trip. That's what I do! Also, hide your fanny pack under your shirt/sweatshirt
Hello II’d like your videos it’s great.. Have you ever thought of bringing a blanket or a power Bank and snacks. I think snacks is a good idea because you wanna be starving.
The measured items count for liquid/ creams only- your deodorant was fine. I love packing videos! I hope you’re having/ had a great time in Ohio seeing your Mom. 😊
Sure! Here's the backpack link: amzn.to/4c3u9aV - I don't think they have it in the same pink color anymore, but this is the same style in a few different colors

That’s so impressive! Being able to do laundry on a trip definitely makes it easier to pack lighter

Great job adjusting as you went along
Thank you so much! ☺
Great strategy for packing.

Great video. Compression bags save a lot of room.
Thanks! I definitely need to get compression bags for future trips
In addition to saving room, it's great for organization. She would only need to place in or pull out the compression cube from the backpack.
Hide the fanny pack
@@marrerochicaI was just about to say the same thing! Hide it under your shirt/sweatshirt

This is awesome! ❤❤ it’s hard to pack the bare minimum when it’s winter. 🥶
Thank you so much! Winter definitely makes it trickier
How funny! You came up my algorithm, and I'm headed to Cleveland next month!🎉
Aw I hope you have a nice trip!
Great job ❤
thank you!

A power bank is a great idea! I definitely need to pack one of those for future flights
Great. Thank you

Can you link the backpack ?
Sure! Here's the backpack link: amzn.to/4c3u9aV - I don't think they have it in the same pink color anymore, but this is the same style in a few different colors
For me issue is packing lterm 4xseasons plus longterm meds etc...
Don't you want your liquids plastic bag where you can grab it until through tsa?
I've never had an issue with it being in my bag, but I have TSA pre-check so that could be why
What backpack is that? Xx
