Lyrics:
Tell your story
Put the night back in your veins
Bound for glory
I ain't coming to again
The sun comes struggling on
Yesterday's dead and gone
And I feel I'm bound for glory
Dreaming in a cowboy song
I feel I'm bound for glory
Can you feel it?
Bound for glory!
Can you feel it?
Glory bound!
Can you feel it?
Bound for glory!
Someone needs to give the audio techies the gold medals for this one.... because this band's sound is mixed perfectly. Seriously, this may be the best live tone I've ever heard
73 year old geezer from London-just had my birthday-if these guys keep playing I'll make74
How ya doing Mr Bone from London? Hopefully still rocking! Love from across the pond. ✌
@@BooBooKittyFuzzyBritches wotcha yep still alive amazingly-my son took me to see them in London last year -they performed the greatest show I’ve seen and that includes Clapton and the Stones.
@@BooBooKittyFuzzyBritches "
You’re still a youngen.
I just hit 71, and I'm thinking just like you, if they keep playing, I will make 72!
Derek Trucks…0% showman. 100% musician.
I was fortunate enough to attend this show. Still gives me goosebumps watching the video. What amazing talent. Definite believer that music can touch and heal the soul.
As a guitar player, Derek is simply untouchable. His tone, his feel and overall genius is mind-blowing. Susan has an incredible voice. Period. and that band is SMOKING. so glad I could see them this year, cant wait to see them again. You will no witness a show of this magnitude anywhere else, I can promise that.
Truth. I'm convinced I can get to or as close to a tone as possible for any guitarist except Derek, Mark Speer of Khruangbin, and Trey Anastasio. It's everything and all things about how they play that gives their signature tone more than any gear could.
I've only been to four concerts so far in my short life, but I can say without a doubt that the Tedeschi Trucks Band was the best I've ever seen
Tedeschi trucks band is BOUND FOR GLORY....RedheadDeadhead 🎸🎷🎺🎶🎵💜❣❤🕩
This was my dad's going home song. I listen to this every father's day and drink his beer in his honer
The individual musicianship in this band is simply amazing and yet they all bounce off each other, then melt into one incredible stew of soulful dynamic flavors. You could listen to the same song 10 times and hear it so differently depending on who you focus on. I've only recently discovered them and I know the lineup has changed over the years, but they are just fantastic! I really miss live music and have been searching it out on UA-cam lately and have NOT been disappointed. So much energy, spirit, talent & soul makes its living out on the road. I bet these amazing musicians have been about to burst being kept home thru Covid. Can't wait to see them out and on the road again!
Before they formed TTB, they performed with members of both of their bands as Soul Stew Revival.
Holy hell that last minute and a half is pure power and fierce talent.
Great band! Luv their sound! Am so glad to find a band who still plays blues! With a touch of the ALLman Brothers Band thrown in! 🇺🇸😎😎😎🤘🤘🤘🍀🍀🍀
Best antidepressant ever.
Thanks guys and gals :-)
This song just leaves me breathless. Every instrument, Susan's voice, Derek on slide, the horns, the organ....just fucking perfection. They need to come to China.
The best band most people have never heard of.
Best Working Band in the Business! IMO 💯👋😎👍
My 72nd birthday My favorite music ! Rock on🥰
185 fools are not bound for glory. This is SO GOOOOOOD
344 now🙄
Mystifying ain't it! This is on my "Joy" playlist twice- live and studio... I for one am bound for glory!
Holy smokes! This is one tight band. Not one instrument had a bad note. Susan's vocals shook me to the Core. I'm just blown away by this song. Have to admit this is the first time I've heard it and it had me ready to shout. What an emotional rollercoaster. Just a great great song delivered by a great great band. Amazing.
Tedeschi trucks band is BOUND FOR GLORY!! #RedheadDeadhead
I got so pumped from that trumpet solo then Derek hit me in the face with his face-melting shreds. This band is too good.
How about Susan's vocals
That horn player is fucking incredible!
Call and Response 🎸
Did you notice Derek bow to the trumpet player just before the trumpet solo?
Takes me back to the Fillmore East 1970 when I saw Delaney & Bonnie and Friends. THIS is Music. THIS is a Band! The Only Band I know of right now that actually has the energy, the musicality, and the spirit that the late 60's had. I LOVE IT!!!
I love this band and especially Susan Tedeschi.
His tone is pure butter. I like butter.
GODS GLORY IS THE BEST!! :)
this band is so good it's sickening...
This may be the best video on youtube.
Susan Tedeschi, the best voice ever
T🔥T🔥B🔥. Best damn band in the land.
Great modern blues. Really is.
I love the way Susan looks at Derek when he's shredding it. They are so adorable
+perpetuals3lf If you look up Sugaree / Angel from Montgomery, you will see how Susan changes when Derek takes the stage. You can see how in love she is with him.
If she would look at me like that, I could die a happy man. Susan Tedesci is a goddess.
I only wished he would look at her the same way more often! Of all the songs I've watched of them together, he only slightly shows his appreciation in the Sky Is Crying. Susan is worthy of his adoration and more in every song she sings.
King Street Rob I watch it all the time!!
I had a couple next to me when i lived in chicago that just played guitar riffs back and forth to each other on the porch like it was some secret language. I never heard them speak to each other. Sometimes it sounded like they were having sex. . . sometimes the music sounded like an argument. I really wished I had recorded some of it.
These two kind of remind me of that
This music it's medicine for the soul and the body
TTB bringing you the Funk!
if you ain't moving get to the doctor.......
That was the most amazing live performances I've ever watched. Such beautiful people!
Having mastered the slide before age 7, only Jeff Beck can use one anything like Trucks can. What a master! Combined with ST's voice, what an amazing team!
Beck is an incredible guitarist but, Jack Pearson is the only one that even comes close to Derek's slide playing.
That boy tore Duane's Gold top all to hell! Just Magnificent! Oteil Kofi and the horns....Damn
This group is just musical in every way. They have that musicality and finesse, but also have the soul to back it up.
can I give this more than 1 thumbs up?????? they are so great
I am truly astounded by this group. I was doing random searches on Google about love, and you popped up. I could not believe my ears. You are the tightest band I have heard in ages, possible the tightest I have ever heard. Everyone of you are amazing. I thought real music was a thing of the past. Thank the Lord there are still some out there. Thank you so much for sharing on You tube. I am going right now to buy some of your stuff to start my collection. God bless you, and again I thank all of you. Just blown away.
***** I saw them a few weeks ago and already got tickets to see them again in Philadelphia in the fall. There's no one better!
***** I couldnt agree more. And on top of that (I did an interview with them once) both Derek and Susan are totally down to earth, loving people.
Derek for president!
Amen to that 57freak
***** I've followed the Allman Brothers Band since 1970, and it was natural to move to these chaps as well. Derek's lineage is of course, fantastic. I'm in England and we came to the states last year, and was pleased to visit the ABB museum in Macon.
That's on my listen John penny that is a must see to go to the big house. As much as I'm a Derek fanatic I'm always drawn back to Duane there's just an aura and something spiritual about Duane as a person and a musician they both truly truly astound me. The retrospective boxset brought of Duane is just mesmerising.
Amazing band, amazing voices. I was lucky to find them at a music festival in Florida. I am forever grateful. Great, authentic music from the soul.
Dig that Cissy Strut break! This band is the real deal.
They are so on the same wave during this performance. Each person is monumental to this unique and just very very good sound. I can never listen to this song enough.
Love this group..it's all about the music.
My favorite Tedeschi Trucks song. I got to see it performed in concert... Amazing!
Hottest band in the land! Saw them at Akron Civic Theatre. I believe they kept the volume down as they would have lost control of the crowd. This band is so powerful and musically literate - just incredible! Wheels of Soul!!!
Gives me chills and tears. The most soulful band I've ever heard.
My goal is to get this woman to look at me like Susan does Derek during the solo and keep her. Such a phenomenal project, these guys are.
Travis Berry they are obviously in love with each other.
Damn, takes hold of you and won't turn loose, awesome
The horn section will evolve and that is going to be very very interesting.
Just can't get ENOUGH listening time. So enjoy their music and talents. Thanks TTB
well y'all, we have proof that there are at least 79 born fools in this world. the rest of usc are bound for glory listnin to sweet music like this!
I love you the trumpet player is absolutely feeling it during that slide solo
Oh my goodness!
Got more soul
Than they can control !!!
Saw them last night
AMAZING show !!!
I love this performance of " Bound for Glory ". Unreal!
One of my Favs..Bound for Glory.. Tedashki and Trucks
Susan with that wonderful, soulful voice. Derek, with that smoking guitar. The horns, bass, drums... All combined to melt my computer from the awesomeness!
Absolute best performance I've ever witnessed. Thank you thank you..
That;s Duane Allman's 1957 Les Paul that was played on the Layla session's with Derek and the Domino's. It's on display at the Allman Brothers Museum in Macon. It get's played when the Allman's or Tedeschi-Trucks are in town.
they let Charlie Starr of Blackberry Smoke break it out in November for their Atlanta show. I was lucky enough to be there. I was in awe the whole time he was playing that puppy.
They crushed every song at this venue
Absolute divine.
Incredible band....A-M-A-Z-I-N-G song!
This is the stuff that needs to be trending with millions of views.
The song is amazing derek to. And the riff 😍😍
What an amazing Band 5 Stars a winner!!!!!1
I truly have to say that these talented guys always put it all out there on the stage 110%. Each of the four times we've been fortunate enough to see the Band live I leave astounded that they are all able to give so much and ,then, do it again maybe even the very next day or a day or two later and again and again and again. These videos are awesome no doubt, but if any of you have not witnessed The Tedeschi Trucks Band live experience please do yourself a huge favor and make plans to do just that. I can promise you that you will not leave wanting.
Talent, Talent, Talent, it still exist!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing Blues vocals & an Allman Brothers connection, can never go wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was Blown away by these guys at THE RYMAN last night on my wife and our anniversary I must say these guys really Groove especially on the World BEST ACOUSTICS this is REAL MUSIC GOD BLESS ,LARRY V. ,INDIANA/TEXAS KEEP JAMMING
lets not forget the bass player.... he is so on the money.... its unreal.....
If they play music like this in heaven, then I am all in.
Fun Fact: Satan loves Derek Trucks
Meester Knowitall Well if I am on a highway to hell, what ever.
I am on board with that. And too bad about the Devil,he didn't have a prayer!
I love this whole band. One of my earliest rock heroes were The Allman Brothers. The beat goes on.
Derek is definatly one of my top favorite guitar players of modern times, and susan has the most amazing voice, they really are a match made in heaven. Well done on make some really beautiful soulfull music.
You know what is wild about this video? Derek Trucks is killer in this, and that being said, I saw them less than a month ago, and he is miles away from this in his playing now. The man keeps getting better!
How can I possibly get better?
I had the luxury of seeing the Derek Trucks Band on the Songlines tour as the first live show I saw as a kid, skated all day around Charlottlesville, VA, went back to the bar, and the band were all having a drink and eating. We figured we wouldn't bother them, and they were nice enough to chat with us after the show. 40/50 Max in the attic of a bar, that show solidified my love for music.
I love how the trumpet player in the red jacket looks like he's having a religious experience at 6:15. Indeed, listening to this incredible version of this song is like a religious experience!
Ha that's exactly what I thought!
My man is absolutely feeling the spirit! Can you blame him?
Yep, I'm a Christian and I'm with you 100% on that! :)
All creative efforts are a reflection of the Creator
Hands down the best band in the world! Have seen them four times, and just booked tickets to see them in Savannah in November.
I still have some photos of the night I saw Derek Trucks for the first time at the age of 12 at Skippers in Tampa. I knew from that night he was bound for glory!
easily the best band in the world today
I totally agree!! Have you listened to Snarky Puppy? Check them out and let me know what you think. Shofukan is a great song!!😊
@@dgordonish Are you kiding? theres whole universum beetwen these two bands! In thet band snarky puppy only drummer has some skills
I'm not sure what your point is. I never
compare bands.😳 I love Snarky Puppy!!🙂
There's something about that slide guitar playing that takes my breath away.
it's because he's got Duane's guitar in his hand. check out Oteil, he's playing Barry Oakley's bass too! they've got Duane and Oakley up there with em!
I just watched the Fillmore East Allman Brothers Band & Duanes guitar is two toned , gold and dark, Dereks guitar is all gold , I am not saying you are wrong , but it is not the guitar Duane played at Fillmore East.
think i saw that guitar in the Bill Graham exhibit at the Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco last week. worth a visit.
You are correct..the '57 Gold Top was used on the the first two albums, whereupon Duane traded it for the '59 Cherry Sunburst you saw at the Fillmore show. The gold top was subsequently lost, but eventually rediscovered. And we are graced with guys like Trucks burning it up. More in-depth story on interwebs if your interested.
Oteil can make me happy any time of the day. Happiness just resonates off of him.
This is how you positive! And well!
Why am I just now hearing this band? This is right on!!
I just heard them now in 2016 because of Koko Taylor and Voodoo Woman. I wanted to see if I could a better bead on the drummer's part.
I discovered TTB only a couple years ago. They are always on top of my playlist.
Well it really was a coming together of two ordinary bands filled with extraordinary people. Derek trucks really needed a great singer, and Susans band really needed some direction away from Bonnie Raitt. The result is as you see MAGIC.
Righteous! Love Derek's fill chops during the soulful trumpet solo. Great Band!
I LOVE Deaek & Susan!!! ❤
12 years ago. Awesome. Better today. Not by much.
Simply put a fantastic band!
Music like this, is not to common. But when you find it , it's amazing.
There's a reason
I LOVE THE HORNS!!!!
Congrats to the person or people who laid the brass in the new releases.....complimentary and just right....harmony that blends
William Hayman I agree!!
What a magical slide guitar sound ......
Derek is a mind blower...
Absolutely one-of-a-kind!!
GOAT in my humble opinion.
They are so blessed to have each other and all that talent. Thanks for the post. Music that moves the soul. : )
Derek keeps it real. Best slide player I've seen.
Then again I've never seen "The Atlanta Bluesman" (has anyone?).
man this is pure gold the first time ive seen derek with facial expressions on the high notes the trumpet play rocked awsome i need to see this band ill travel to america if i have to.
Every time I hear anything from this band, two words come to mind. You know, other than "Damn, these guys are phenomenal!" Those words are "Joy" and "Love." From their songwriting, Susan's otherworldly voice (and underrated guitar skills), Derek's superhuman guitar skills (and was that really Duane's old Les Paul he's playing?) and on down the line. They have so much fun playing and it shows. The Joy and love show.
The only time (so far) I've seen them live, they closed their main set with this. And it was absolutely magical.
In any other band she would be a top notch guitarist, but when she watches Derek play you can see the admiration on her face.
@@johnfenn No doubt! She's got serious guitar skills! When she sits down on the amp while Derek's soloing. Tons of pride.
It makes me feel good !!! Christopher Haynes you have stated quite eloquently.
Love, Love, Love. Happy, Happy, Happy...Thank you Tedeschi Trucks Band!!!
Keep making music...cause you guys are doing it right!!!
Susans voice... out of this world... love it...
Horn players diggin it!😬😬😬😬
I love how it looks like Derek is playing his solo for his wife.
I once read that he was in a store and wanted to get a medium sized vintage Fender amp and he was trying to get Susan to talk him out of it, and she said, like, "Well, if you get you one, get one for ME TOO!" Now, THAT'S a wife!
They rocked the St Pete Sunshine Blues Festival.
Yes they did.
That’s music folks! I don’t care what your favorite genre is..... this here has it all! Only thing I would add to the group is Robert Randolph on the regular! I would call it Tedeschi Trucks Randolph and The Family Band! Get Down!!!
Some real clean slide playing.
Trucks kills it.
