Best touring band in America right now. Three-hr. shows, yes? Twelve pieces; everybody gotta pull their weight. Logistics must be insane. And Susan is just a dream...
Just wow. THIS is how music is supposed to evolve. This group of musicians are so good. I cannot imagine a better band out there now. But Derek..........I mean DAMN!!!!! His playing brings me to tears. Phenomenal.
I am as impressed with you people commenting here as much as the band. I had begun to believe no one on this planet knew what real and true music really was anymore. It has to touch your soul. Like Santana said good music demands you listen. Most music is just backround music but this hits you right in the face. Splash me again...................
Derek Trucks has so much under his belt as far influence goes and his playing at a young age shows at times his solos remind me as a voice wailing away.Susan singing reminds me of such reminiscent of gospels..truly a remarkable big band.Keep on trucking 🚚 🛻 😳.
Superb! As good as it gets. They expect nothing less for the 💕 love of the music itself and nuthin' else! No egos here. And that, my lovelies, is where the magic begins! My highest respects and gratitude for this awesome band.
Grew up in the 70’s listening to the finest music ever. Don’t really like “new” music. But listening to a station in Williamsburg, VA that plays a variety of styles I heard this. I felt like there is great music around, you just gotta look. And this is just what the Doc ordered.
I remember seeing Susan Tedeschi in a little bar somewhere around Kansas City back in 1999 or so. She had just released her first CD and I scored a signed one. It was easy to tell she was going places back then - and I love how her music and career have exploded since. Please keep making more soul-enriching music for years and years!
Hi Foster! I like to hear the stories of 'first time I heard' , cause some music is just hits you so hard you feel it in your soul. I heard These two for the first time a month ago. Is that crazy? It was late night and it was like a spell had been cast on me. " Midnight in Harlem" music is a gift from God.
@@peggyhall843 I first heard Susan on my local Portland blues show in '98... Then saw her open for BB king in August outdoors... Then saw her again in '99 opening for the allman brothers in August outdoors... That was also the first time Derek played with them in place of Warren Haynes.
Delaney Bonnie & Friends, Allman bros, Bonnie Rait, Marshall Tucker . I’m glad there a some young people that like this type of show. My friends saw them at Red Rocks a little while ago. They said there were a lot of old people ( like me ) in attendance. ☠️
EXCEPTIONAL quality for an aud recording, especially the audio. Almost sounds like a soundboard split. Kudos to you Barry, or whoever is responsible for the capture.

I once saw them live at the place where I live, had highest hopes, love their music for a long time. Tried to share the evening with someone who could not appreciate them. Same with the crowd that night - there was no connection and it did affect the band, too. Incredible how such an evening could have turned stale like that. Now that I remember it (it was some 2 years ago) and look at the kind of live I've had in the meantime I guess I should move some place else.
Dam you got to see them twice in a year! This is my favorite song along with anyhow... Unfortunately they chose not to do them last month although they did in 2019.
wow, what an amazing version of an amazing song. i have heard it more than once in concert, and the passion here is incredible. as i have said before, the best band in america!
I've caught Susan in 1999, in Tulsa for a Blues festival. She opened for BB King, and I knew then, I was going to follow this artist! Along came Derek, and together they have changed the music universe.
Hendrix had a concept of "Sky Church", this group may be the next best thing. Though I'm saying this because others commented on it. Hope to attend their show in 2022.
Susan mentioned last Thursday she was at The Green Mill in Chicago and was dancing and tore her meniscus in her knee. She was on crutches Friday night but she was able to walk without crutches Saturday night with help. Don’t worry - her voice was as strong as ever and TTB was incredible!!
Poor Susan! Geez. However, there is no better place to inflict damage by dancing than the Green Mill. one of the more iconic, historic bars in Chicago, with a storied history. And there is a great Vietnamese restaurant across the street! Feel better, Susan!

I'm gonna go buy my tickets for their show June 29th, '22 at the Fox Theatre in Detroit.😀
Just America? Or best touring band in the world right now? Booked to see in London November 2022 and CAN NOT WAIT!!!
And they say there is no more great music ?? Wtf TTB proves them wrong
Best band on the planet right now imho.

Amazing talents throughout the combined band! These two thought about others when they fell in love! They just expanded the UNION!❤️❤️❤️

Just what I was looking for after the Allman brothers
Another compliment to ah family of my favorite group 1st class thanks happiness always
Susan's voice is tremendous, only equaled by Dereks slide playing. killer band all round.
Love Alecia Chakour`s high voice so much.

How is this band not more well known? It baffles my mind that true musicians have a hard time being recognized in today's world.

This is BAD ASS! The whole package. Whoever shot the video did a damn good job!

So, so good. Words fail me.
Fantastic tune. Great musicianmanship.
While I listen I just can think "man this is so good!!!" Amazing groove!
Absolutely the BEST on the planet right now imho.
The best part of this - the horn section has shaken whatever funk they were in and sound, once again, tight and powerful.

There is a synergy between the keyboards and Derreks guitar
That synergy is band wide, lots of talent on that stage!
