Santos was such a liability. She couldn't even defend herself. Granted she didn't have a weapon but during her death scene she didn't even make an attempt to jump or free herself
Carver- "That's a good idea. Let's get moving, dead boy". Isaac- "That's not funny". Carver- "*Yeah it is*" Carver has a good sense of humor in my book.
i think Carver was one of the best characters of the game. he's straight, badass, and has an effective sense of humor. i wish we got a sequel with him.
ISAAC: "Go on Ellie, take care of the crew..they need you more than I do. I am officially a creature slayer by now. Before you go, tell me one thing......where can I find my next necromorph ?" ;P
god Ellie is such a pain in the ass in this game before she was very helpful in dead space 2 but now shes an emotional problem that pisses me off, first of all the only reason Norton got crazy was because Ellie ignored her feelings(that she apprently developed with him) and was focoused more on issac, yes i realize she liked Issac but common you dont act like that, he tried to kill issac and save HER and your gonna bitch at Issac for defending himself and making him feel like that bad guy, man fuck that noise.
Actually Ellie used Norton as a rebound guy as her own survivor guilt drove her desperate need to both stop the markers and to fill her loneliness. She projects an image of a supportive and caring Norton unto him during the whole campaign than actually seeing the unstable and insecure Norton infront of her. Norton doesn't help as his own instabilities drive him to keep her as a partner, possibly because of losing many squad mates from earthgov drove him mad and now he doesn't feel safe or in control when alone. This would explain why he's so hostile to Isaac to the point of letting him be captured (and die) by unitologists than live and continue the mission. Isaac and his relationship with Ellie threatens Norton's relationship with her, the only thing that he is sure of, the only thing in his life he can control. To Norton, Isaac's presence throughout the story robs his life of any control and fall into the shitter, and feels justified throwing Isaac to the unitologists. Norton and Ellie's relationship isn't so much a relationship as it is using one another to replace what they feel they've lost. This plays into how Ellie reacts to Norton's death despite knowing he betrayed them. Since Ellie used her relationship with Norton to replace the comrades she was forced to kill, knowing he died hurts her since another person she cared for died, further driving her survivor guilt. In her emotional turmoil she lashes out at Isaac, but snaps out of it later on. Its more than an emotional problem. Its that Ellie and Norton are mentally unstable people in the wrong kind of relationship in the worst possible situation. *tl;dr:* No, Ellie and Norton were using eachother's prescence to feel grounded and sane but then Isaac came and Norton & Ellie's mental instabilities kinda fucked up everything.
Ellie's character was really butched in this game. what happened to that badass girl that we all knew and loved from DS2? now she is apparently so dumb that she can't realize why Norton and Isacc are at each other's throats....
helpison_thewaybro911 I don'g know...it ended up with her trying to destroy his mind and absorbing him into a giant alien artefact...people should try and find a new partner in such toxic relationships. 😂😂😂
I think Earth is completely fucked, the forth will probably be Issac and Carver teaming up with a scientist to build another Machine that flash freezes the Necromoons.
after watching DS1 2 and now 3 i noticed they really can't keep a clear enough signal on their communicators. it's always getting interrupted or something like that. ( granted in the starting scene i can understand why his link would be getting garbled.) i just find that interesting.

I think the point was that Isaac needed something to fight for. Without Ellie as a means of agency, Isaac would have been content to remain in hiding, and not even bother with markers anymore. It's mentioned in the intro of the game and was the only means storywise that Isaac would brave the horrors again. I also think the "save your girlfriend" cliche had outgrown it's use in the first game. But they changed their approach to what Isaac fought for by the end of 3.....until awakened. Then it was about Ellie again. Honestly, I'm hoping that by the fourth game, if there is a fourth, that Isaac's obsessive mindset can finally look beyond his own heart's wants. That he can finally let go and realize there is more to him. That he could end the threat of the markers once and for all. To let go of his guilt, and to heal himself of the void that Nicole had created and Ellie filled in her place. I do think it's time he realizes what's really worth fighting for.
andrew roncallo then you know what you change your damn protagonist then..this is a flaw in a lot of franchise games...main character is fucking unkillable that is total bs...like I like Marcus fenix and all that but he is legit about to be in 5 gears of war games and I know he ain't the main character anymore but the fact remains that this guy has ohhh idk 30 years of war under his belt and what lost two friends and almost died one time..really? Now resistance is underrated but smart..the second game ends with you killing the main character and the third game is about the guy who killed him..I like that more than this bullshit love driven Issac who will abandon the entire fate of humanity because one girl dumped him then wants to save it again because he thinks they might fuck later...Isaac might be the worst character in dead space three next to that black/British girl who cried the entire way even though she didn't do jack shit
Oddball there are many reasons why Isaac Clarke has become one of my favorite fictional characters. As far as the actual game mechanic goes, he did well in Dead Space, squaring off with the unknown with pluck and a steady aim. But his character? Betrayed, left to die, haunted by the monstrous ghost of his dead girlfriend. He's led, he follows and is driven by this fierce desire to help, save others as well as himself. And what is he left with at the end of Dead Space? A fierce case of post-traumatic stress (a very real and underrepresented disease as far as media goes, this deserves a nod in itself), nightmares, insanity, the specter of his girl, screams, gasping for breaths, the stomach-turning nausea of zero-G.... And despite all these terrors, I don't take him for the angry type. Sad, introspective, yes. Whereas I personally want to strangle every Unitologist, Isaac probably would just pity them. Poor sap. But you get where I'm going. It's not that Isaac's character is bad, it's that he's the only means of continuing the story forward. Remember, Isaac wasn't all that remarkable a character until the events of DS2. He's among the rare few that have survived the necromorphs and markers. The cost of it though had been his very sanity. Which is why he's so obsessive and clings to what support he has. Isaac's not like Carver, he wasn't a trained soldier, and certainly not one equipped to deal with the baggage he has. Scary truth of the matter, Isaac's character is the most realistic if you take a regular guy, and subject him to this kind of horror. Ellie became his coping mechanism because after losing his sanity and the woman he loved, he had nothing left. Nothing but the mental scars the markers had imprinted on him. For this, people want him dead, captured, experimented on, leaving you with nothing and no one to trust or rely on. This was made worse by Nicole's death. I think Ellie had filled the hole that Nicole had left when Isaac destroyed/had to let her go. That's why he had been as devoted, he couldn't bare losing someone he cared about to those monsters again. So he obsesses to the point that he'd just throw his life to the wind. Risking it all to save this one person he values above all in the galaxy.....sometimes I think the poor guy couldn't let the events of the first game go. Even with the hallucinations gone, he's still alone, his mind never truly left the Ishimura, and is still fighting for hope. The hope that he'll find who he's looking for, and can finally escape the terror. I just wish that he'd realize that he can't save her, he has no control or say on these horrific events, and that what comes to pass is not his fault. That he could accomplish more if he didn't weigh himself down. But with his trauma and experiences, I can't blame him for being blind to the truth.
The question is what it's all good for, what's the motive? Markers creates moons for unknown reasons and the closest parallell I can connect to are the Reapers in the Mass Effect series - assemble bodies of mass into one entity for preservation for the coming age - but to what end? You're implying the marker's purpose is to create a moon with enough mass and energy to maintain itself, yet at the end of the Dead Space 3 DLC, Awakening, we observe several moons gather themselves around the earth wreaking havoc. But there isn't an incentive for other moons to be present than the one being made unless Earth and its inhabitants are resources are to be fed upon - like vultures circling around the prey in a waiting game. It seems to me there are enough moons to create a celestial body like earth so mankind, in my limited ability of deduction can tell, is the ignition to such process.
The brother moons have no rhyme or reason to the destruction they cause (So Far) They just manipulate societies to become dependent on them then take over making more moons to effect a bigger area.
I noticed that problem too. Also, if the necromoons desire to be the only living beings in the universe, in case they'll succeed, what will they do after that? if they won't need food after becoming moons, then they will be driven insane from boredem.
Here's something I don't get though... who MADE the Markers to begin with? I mean, you need Markers to build Bretheren Moons, right? So who made the first Markers to make the first Moon? And to what end?
Awesome work on the video man!! I do would love if you included the text log and the in game log files in the video for us to know a bit more about the different people on the ship before everything went to hell but thanks again for the vid!!! Keep it up!
That was fu**ing amazing. Thank you for this. I think you edited this perfectly and your game play was very enjoyable to watch. Bad ass weapons, a very large portion of the video and audio logs. Great work and thank you again
Main story: There is no way of beating these species , They are death Incarnate. They take control of smart individual species and those with power to building markers for them so theres no way of preventing it even if you knew everything about them. In this Universe its all just "Dead Space" Side story: Romance and a love battle with lots of gun battles.
My theory is that the dlc in its entirety is a hallucination. If the red marker imprinted blueprints on isaac's mind, imagine what a brethren moon could do. It was trying to scare him, trying to tell him what the other moons had planned for earth and humanity.
man i remember this game ...good times..played and unlock all suits and weapons....but this one man...when your city is under attack with the marcers omg you're out numbered to the fullest
Too much action, I preferred the horror aspect. Don't get me wrong a great story and mediocre attempt at horror in the dlc but I just really hope they make DS4 more horror than this
Thing about horror games like this, it’s hard to keep the horror aspect in a series when through each games people get used to it, take dead space 2 for instance, many of the new players say it is the scariest of the three but I couldn’t find it anymore scarier then the first one cause I played that on first release and kept replying it from time to time
@@warboss3686 What really took the cake is the Isolation factor. A battle buddy to keep you and them sane is the best thing you can have in a Shit hits the fan situation. I like Carver, but if he were to die or take over as the protagonist for DS4, idk. Its and idea.
Happy ending are so overrated. Sometimes, a good ending is where you loose everything and die a terrible death at the end. Essentially a Game Over, permanently.
So, what makes any good horror narrative, especially one that has to focus on the narrative & motives of the good guys, rather than the bad, it's always good to have some sort of tension that naturally starts to have the group's trust in one another start to be put into question and, depending on how bad the situation is, would end up having the group separate. Having a love triangle between the main character, the love interest & the overprotective new partner, doesn't work in a survival horror story, especially one as lazily executed as this one between Isaac, Norton & Ellie in this game. The way that Norton steps in to antagonise Isaac whenever him and Ellie seem to just have a conversation or reunite after surviving something drastic feels really forced and would feel more at home in a cheesy horror movie, not a game where the characters need to trust one another in a survival situation. Get your priorities together, Norton: you believing that your girlfriend is trying to get back into the pants of her ex-partner isn't of great concern, it's the people turned to cosmic horrors trying everything they can to kill your ass dead.
Lol issac's adventures are mostly doom experiences. Your mostly isolated from others and your friends are usually items and ammunition that keeps your ass alive.

54:12 So... If we stop and think a lil bit, a Guardian is a immovable Necromorph which is supposed to protect a vital/important area, hence the name "Guardian". Buuuuuuuut... The Marker alters its biological makeup up to a point that it doesn't actually kill its host for it is very much alive, although the majority of its body has been reconstructed and most of it absorved into the corruption (except for its head). Soooooooooo does it mean that this person was suffering a horrendous and unimaginable pain for 200 fucking years* ???? Holy fucking shit, guys.
Screw the marker screw the necromorphs and screw the eunitoligist 29:54 no one cared who he was until he put on the mask 29:56 now they cared After watching the video: WAIT WE LOSE!?!?
I don't understand the hate on this game. I played through Dead Space 3 once and I loved it. I mean sure It's not a Dead Space game because It's not really a horror game but I thought the fun fast paced gameplay was good enough for me. I'll admit I don't like Dead Space 3 as much as 1 or 2 ( Especially 2) but I think this game is underrated and deserves more credit. It's like the same thing they did with Resident Evil 5 but again as long as if the gameplay was fun and fast paced I really didn't care If It wasn't really a horror game.
I remember it getting a ton of hate for the co-op, but then I played it and could hardly tell it was a co-op game. Nothing like RE5 or RE6 type games. The human gunfights are the only real negatives for me, rest of the game is awesome. Ellie wasn't nearly as cool as she was in DS2 but I thought Carver was a great character as a trade, was hoping he would return in another before DS4 got scrapped.
Rikuu The Werewolf Riolu There's a possibility that Dead Space 4 will be produced, however. I read in a article that DS4 would be in a apocaliptic earth where the only objective is to survive to the necromorphs.
If there must be a Dead Space 4 let it be one with actual hope against these moons and including connecting the other stories too such as Lexine from Extraction.
azax they ditched the horror element for action. dead space 1 and 2 were absolutely terrifying at some points, this is a complete turn around from the isolation and dread you would feel from the other games. this game is cool, but not Dead Space cool
Given how long this video is, what it claims to be, and the amount of uneeded cuts, it's puzzling why this guy would start an audio log and then walk away before we even get all the subtitles.
I don’t know why gamer’s little playground doesn’t have dead space 3 on his channel ? And wait Issac’s still alive!!! ? And carver too!!! ? So this explains how that brethren moon was able to send the location of earth to it’s fellow moons and bloody hell this dlc is mega intense and oh that’s pretty depressing so they kinda lost and Ellie John Issac even all of humanity are all gonna die now ? Well that’s a super fucking depressing ending!!!
Okay, so no one is talking about it. WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU USING THE PROBE GUN, THE ONLY GUN IN THE GAME THAT YOU ARE FORCED TO USE FOR TWO MINUTES OR SO!?!?!? WHY NOT USE THE PLASMA CUTTER LIKE YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO FUCKING DO INSTEAD OF PLAYING CALL OF DUTY AND INSTEAD PLAY DEAD SPACE AND CONSERVE AMMO BY SHOOTING LIMBS AND NOT BODIES!?!?!?

Santos' death is the funniest damn thing in the entire series. You just can't take it seriously.
I wonder why Isaac never used Kinesis to pull her to safety
Main story: There is no way of beating these species , They are death Incarnate. They take control of smart individual species and those with power to building markers for them so theres no way of preventing it even if you knew everything about them. In this Universe its all just
"Dead Space"
Side story: Romance and a love battle with lots of gun battles.
this must have taken you a while, watched the whole thing, now I can say I know the story of dead space 3
Really great game play, liked the 'want some candy?'
The LC
Seems like everyone stands around off screen and do nothing but tell isaac what to do.
You know I thought I recognized the older guy’s voice and I was pleasantly surprised to learn that he voiced Leo Galante in Mafia III, neat.
My theory is that the dlc in its entirety is a hallucination. If the red marker imprinted blueprints on isaac's mind, imagine what a brethren moon could do. It was trying to scare him, trying to tell him what the other moons had planned for earth and humanity.
the unitologist leader looks a little bit like jim jones(guy who made a whole town kill itself)
Alxmir23
Very fitting.
Alxmir23 not really..he looks like Robert Redford.
He looks like the villain from spiderman 2
MrTHEMONEEMAKER eh kinda but I still see Robert Redford
More like l. Ron Hubbard, the founder of Scientology.
man i remember this game ...good times..played and unlock all suits and weapons....but this one man...when your city is under attack with the marcers omg you're out numbered to the fullest
Ellie: There's a decontamination sequence you should check out.
(Isaac gets knocked over by a wall barnacle.)
Isaac: Sure thing
I think we can safely assume that everyone died.
Too much action, I preferred the horror aspect. Don't get me wrong a great story and mediocre attempt at horror in the dlc but I just really hope they make DS4 more horror than this
AsianDriver WithContacts I just really hopebthey may Dead space 4, at this point I'd play it horror or not!
Just like what happened to resident evil.
The developing company no longer exists
Thing about horror games like this, it’s hard to keep the horror aspect in a series when through each games people get used to it, take dead space 2 for instance, many of the new players say it is the scariest of the three but I couldn’t find it anymore scarier then the first one cause I played that on first release and kept replying it from time to time
@@warboss3686 What really took the cake is the Isolation factor. A battle buddy to keep you and them sane is the best thing you can have in a Shit hits the fan situation. I like Carver, but if he were to die or take over as the protagonist for DS4, idk. Its and idea.
It's like none stop lol no happy ending at all
Happy ending are so overrated. Sometimes, a good ending is where you loose everything and die a terrible death at the end. Essentially a Game Over, permanently.
Steel true that 👌🏽
But i get the feeling this is just to make a part 4 ... yunno to get the money rollin
Yeah but that might not happen DS3 didn't make as much as it's predecessors so it's pretty much in development hell at this point.
nice games ! i wayt for next episode .....i hope soon :))
An armada of planet killing Star Destroyers sounds perfect against those Brethren Moons.
Gunner Wright is such a good fucking voice actor holy shit
Isaac and carver may have won the battle but the war for earth has just begun
Won?
It's already lost.
Darshan Victor first
the religion metaphors in this game is fuckin a lot
well people in this universe made a religion based on markers... so what did you expect?
thats why i don't follow religion because you're either crazy as fuck or every wrong move your kid makes he or she is suddenly "satans child" it's stupid mainly christianity and some others i am 100% pure Atheust or however you spell it.
Nick Strong Funny you say that about Christianity but the Devs based Uni-tology Scientology, so yeah.......
Well ladies and gentlemen the official award for most unlucky and most lucky Goes to isaaaaacccc CLAAARRRKKKKEEEEE give him a round of applause ladies and gentlemen most unlucky by never catching a flipping break and most lucky cause plot armor and always winning in the end
I want that the whole dead space theory and story happened on earth would be awesome
Isaac could've phrased it a little
Better than simply "I shot him".
Also, Carver is the best.
I dont think ive seen someone get so lucky as you did at the drill part lol
are we just going to ignore the fact that New Horizons Colony obviously went through convergence after they left it ?
chauncy primm That moon colony was screwed XD ☠
I cant be the only one who thinks that last scene was glorious in it's own way.
Something tells me that Dead Space 4 will be like mass effect 3.
Amazing battle on an incredible scale.
I'm assuming that unitology is probably the last religion in the timeline, and at that moment I'd just be an atheist and not get involved in all of the convergence bullshit.
Holy fucking shit, guys.
loved it. on amazon getting 1 and 2.....again
Isaac went from unbreakable and unstoppable force in dead space 1 and 2 to full on simp in dead space 3
Isaac... Isaac!
Screw the marker screw the necromorphs and screw the eunitoligist
29:54 no one cared who he was until he put on the mask 29:56 now they cared
After watching the video: WAIT WE LOSE!?!?
Ellie wasn't nearly as cool as she was in DS2 but I thought Carver was a great character as a trade, was hoping he would return in another before DS4 got scrapped.
that gas is still comin we gotta go noww
There will be another Dead Space? the end made me think so many things, and get worried about it.
You betcha. and you can definitely expect after that dlc ending they will definitely learn.
Rikuu The Werewolf Riolu we can thank EA for that one.
No team disbanded
Rikuu The Werewolf Riolu There's a possibility that Dead Space 4 will be produced, however. I read in a article that DS4 would be in a apocaliptic earth where the only objective is to survive to the necromorphs.
@@anothertexasboi3146 i hope we can cut trees with our fist and build a gross looking house and have skins and pets
man so much PTSD while surviving in this game lol
Type: Mass Driver ... Alias: The Luv Boat
I love dedspace
The game where no ship/shuttle or train ever gets to it's destination with incident.
I can’t believe they made Isaac and carver actually fight
If there must be a Dead Space 4 let it be one with actual hope against these moons and including connecting the other stories too such as Lexine from Extraction.
Well.... heres go marker for Issac and Carver to have fun time in Dead Space 4 again.
I hope that if they ever bring this franchise back, the conclusion does the it all justice.
why do people hate this I actually enjoy this game.
-Because we are ungrateful bastards-
Me too. Especially the crafting system. So much fun.
azax if you have never played the first 2 games then you wouldn’t understand
azax they ditched the horror element for action. dead space 1 and 2 were absolutely terrifying at some points, this is a complete turn around from the isolation and dread you would feel from the other games. this game is cool, but not Dead Space cool
What an ending!
An epic horror game now an action movie
54:59 welcome to dead space 3 where we only have one good jumpscare that doesn't scare you...oh but it has good concept tho
Carver went from being a side character noone likes to a bloody badass in the end
Take a shot every time Isaac gets thrown around
I liked Tim Kaufman he had a lot of potential of being a cool character
Given how long this video is, what it claims to be, and the amount of uneeded cuts, it's puzzling why this guy would start an audio log and then walk away before we even get all the subtitles.
wait wait wait so after all that, all that he went though and that happens great
Seemed like a movie
does anyone still play this in 2017? I know I do...
i play it in 2020!
Well sht there goes the moons
I don’t know why gamer’s little playground doesn’t have dead space 3 on his channel ? And wait Issac’s still alive!!! ? And carver too!!! ? So this explains how that brethren moon was able to send the location of earth to it’s fellow moons and bloody hell this dlc is mega intense and oh that’s pretty depressing so they kinda lost and Ellie John Issac even all of humanity are all gonna die now ? Well that’s a super fucking depressing ending!!!
It's like Doom3 all over again wish they made this games in 1st shooters.
2:56:00 as Carver threw the thing at him they had all the time to shoot and kill him...
Isaac would make such an epic boss IRL
Dead Space 3 should have the subtitle "EA fuck up to make more money"
yup waiting for dead space 4
your playing this like your new to dead space
Eyes forward Issac pay attention.
That ending turns dead space into an action game like EA wanted to bad they kill Visceral
Uh isaac i think i just started the launch sequince and icdont know how to stop it YOU ... WHAT lol that part got me
Its been 600 years and everything looks the same
