I liked the addition of Zeke’s betrayal because it added depth to his character, and he wasn’t just the tutorial guy, or. The sidekick. He was his own human with selfish goals.
Something I've always treasured about this series is the memories about it with my brother. Since he was the one with the PS3, we would have a kind of system. He would play through it first always choosing the Evil Karmic Route, and I would do the second playthrough, choosing the Good Karmic Route. And it always made me think, if us two had powers in real life, is that how it would be? Would he use them for his own selfish needs and hurting people, and I would have to clean up his mess? Good times.
A great series that I had the honor and privilege of playing on the PS3 and the PS4. Cole's death in the second part really left me in tears.... I hope a new addition to the series comes soon.
Aside from the Delsin Rowe saga? lol Same, I'd be surprised if they pulled the "Cole wasn't really dead" card if they make a future game, but it'd be cool if he was around Kessler's age, still in the mentor role, except he's more of a straightforward one (instead of a manipulative one like Kessler) to whatever new Conduit he'd be teaching.
Otto von Doom I’d love a InFamous prequel. Playing as Kessler, learning how he got his powers, where the Beast came from, why Kessler fled, if there were other conduits around. Another dope version would be an alternate game playing as a conduit in Cole’s new Conduit dictated world; choosing to either fight with him or against him

How was he able to maneifest his powers and if John White was still presumable the beast in his timeline, what was his motives for destruction and how did he turn out that way? Kessler's world seems interesting because we don't know anything about it. Deadass, I think the second route of being a conduit under Cole's regime would've been way cooler. Instead of Delsion, you could've selected, for example, one out of three different conduits to play as (Like how AC Odyssey has Kassandra and the other nigga), each with different abiilties: Energy Manipulation, Mind Manipulation, Limited Reality Warping, etc. And employ good writers for the story, others wise we would've gotten another Prototype 2

Things happened much differently in his timeline than Cole's. We can also infer that Kessler's Beast was different. Kessler came back to stop the Beast. If he knew who the Beast was, he could have killed the Beast outright, which is to say he would've killed Jon. Jon only became the Beast after getting blasted by the raysphere a 2nd time. That 2nd time was due to Kessler's direct intervention. There was no Kessler in Kessler's timeline to cause the 2nd blast, which is to say, Jon wouldn't have become the Beast there. As for the Beast's motives in Kessler's timeline, if InFamous 2 is to be believed, then in Kessler's timeline there would also have been a plague. The Beast in his timeline may have also been using his powers to create conduits/cure the plague. The byproduct being killing non-conduits, which probably included Kessler's family.
I love how a lot of the choices between good and evil in this game make sense and are consistent with the motivations of characters, you can even sympathise with some of the bad choices. in second son a lot of the evil choices were really just evil for the sake of evil
He regained Cole's full trust in the second game. Yes, he was a desperate idiot in the first one but he puts he's life on the line in the second game to help Cole.
To counter your argument, I want everyone to remember that when you become evil at the end of 2 he uses his gun to try and stop you despite how gotdamn powerful you are by that point.

I remember playing this game at age 10, not really understanding the real moral and motives of the story and characters. Here I am 10 years later now understanding everything. The motives, the lies. Kessler was cole this whole time I was too young to notice and Zeke betrayed Cole out of jealousy and was too young to notice at the time.

On top of that she a med doctor who (in this quarantine apocalyptic settling) is constantly seeing people in pain or dying 24/7. Something most people who are not doctors are not seeing as much. To be fair from her point of view it looks pretty bad. Think like her. My sister dies from a bomb explosion which my boyfriend just happens to be involved in and also survive with superpowers. All while being in a quarantine apocalypse with people dying left and right at which I'm seeing the most of every day. In other words she is constantly reminded of Cole's actions of activating the "bomb". She has no idea if Cole really mean to do it or not. But what are odds. Hell knowing Kessler he probably had George (the guy running his mouth at the bike messenger place) to tell Trish that Cole was the only personally pick to deliver the package. Making seem even more so Cole did it on purpose.
I just bought Infamous Second Sun. Never played any infamous game. I'm not too far in it so I came here to watch 1 and 2 first. Man, infamous 1 is soooo much better than what ive seen of second sun. The hero is cool and way more interesting. Not some kid like in second sun, he remind me of dante in the dmc reboot

When you think about it Kessler and Cole could've fought endlessly absorbing each other's attacks. If Kessler hadn't wanted to die by Cole's hands I think it would've played out like that.
honestly given Kessler's powers and what I'm assuming to be his constant source of electricity from his suit, I think he was even more powerful then Cole, more so then he was displaying in that fight. Given he was probably 100 years old or so by the time Cole activated the Ray Sphere, it is possible that the suit was helping him regulate his powers and holding him together. I don't know how aging works with conduits but it's a possibility that his advanced age was causing him issues as well.
watching this on 2020 this was so bad as graphical design now i see it but when i first grabbed the cd and inserted into the slot the game opened with a great menu and a marvelous intro and the gameplay even though at that age i didnt know english so i couldnt understand shit about the story i still had a sense of what is happening and why and even that gave me great fun playing this i wish i could go back and play it again for nostalgic purposes but ps3 is gone now and im sad

Nicely done mixing gameplay and custscenes. I got the the Balloon mission toward the end and just quit the game. Way too repetitive and wonky free running lead to a ton of failed missions. So I called it quits, but I really liked the story. So thanks for piecing it together so I don't have to play another moment of it. Head 2 is better so now I can move on to it.
So much of the same thing, enemies took forever to kill, the slow mo fail and load times to restart a failed mission, the "WHY DID YOU JUMP OFF!?" mechanics. I think part of it was how bland the city was too. It felt like it was a society in ruins, but like all the boring parts about it.

Infamous and Infamous 2 were the best Second Son sucked shit. I love how Cole and Zeke start off in the first game talking about memories of the past and the shit they used to do but by the time of the second game they're relationship just changed so much. With Second Son implying the good ending was the actually cannon ending it kinda wrecks my way of ending the Cole era in my mind but I think Cole ultimately killing his best friend and becoming thing his future self tried to prevent is such a good plot twist that it makes sense to me for that to be the real ending. I can only hope the devs make one last Infamous and finish the Cole story with an alternate timeline continuing the Evil ending of Infamous 2. Hell I'd even be willing to sign a petition or give my own money to make it happen.

They never have done the bad endings as a starting point but not gonna lie if they made two entirely different upbringing based story modes for a new infamous based on the good and bad playing how shit goes, that would be so dope. But that probably won't happen considering that's almost literally asking a developer to make two separate games for a single playable game.

Infamous and Infamous 2 were the best Second Son sucked shit. I love how Cole and Zeke start off in the first game talking about memories of the past and the shit they used to do but by the time of the second game they're relationship just changed so much. With Second Son implying the good ending was the actually cannon ending it kinda wrecks my way of ending the Cole era in my mind but I think Cole ultimately killing his best friend and becoming thing his future self tried to prevent is such a good plot twist that it makes sense to me for that to be the real ending. I can only hope the devs make one last Infamous and finish the Cole story with an alternate timeline continuing the Evil ending of Infamous 2. Hell I'd even be willing to sign a petition or give my own money to make it happen.
WingsOfTheBat You do know that the good endings are the only canon endings in every infamous game, right? They never have done the bad endings as a starting point but not gonna lie if they made two entirely different upbringing based story modes for a new infamous based on the good and bad playing how shit goes, that would be so dope. But that probably won't happen considering that's almost literally asking a developer to make two separate games for a single playable game.
