It's a hierarchy of dominance. Like a pecking order for chickens, the ones that are top of the hierarchy gets the eat first and those at the bottom last

What a great house for the little fellows, lovely to see them so well catered for, but the reason why there is not a little more excitement is they are a little on the chunky side, plus they were woken up to feed. But ferrets are a much underrated pet and often not cared for properly. So 👍 for caring for them so well, if not a little over fed 😂
That is my girl Selkie, she was born with a severe spinal deformity (this is hard to spot from a glance due to her being an angora ferret) . Her spine has fused with age which thankfully protects her spinal cord, the deformity has left her with a very abnormal gait, she should really have the big rug down to help her a bit and I will be honest in saying I do not know why I didn't have it down at the time of this video. She is in charge of the group though and thrives very much despite her disability (her upper body strength is unbelievable! Meaning you still have to watch her for getting into places you never would of thought she could reach!)

aahhhh i remember when i had 6 ferrets.. i see so many things in this video that brings me back to them.. like how they pick one bit of food and walk away (to eat or hide it in the corners of the room for tough times) or when every ferret besides 1 rushes to the food (one first stretching and yawning) haha so cute!!

I love ferret personalities... you have the dudes that probably always come first in line, all business, take the meat and go, the straggler being shy and then trying to push ahead, and then some take the food, one of them just goes for water because it's probably their favorite thing to do ever, and then the brown-nosers who ignore the food to try and be the favorite ferret for attention
They say more then one ferret is called a business and that's one large business you got 😂 there adroably I just love them and wish I could have that many
Awe. Cute little dudes. When I was growing up, Nickolas, the boy next door, had a couple ferrets...twin brothers named Ruff and Tumble. They ARE awful cute, and very fun to play with, but I could never get past the smell. Nick cleaned them twice a week, I even help many a time, but the spare room he kept them in always smelled. 😖 Personally, I had Guinea pigs...I always found them to make a better pet. They aren’t quite as playful, but they are GREAT for cuddling and don’t smell(aside from the odor of hay and wood shavings, which I find pleasant) so long as you clean them weekly.
@@roronoadzoro9429 Ferrets don't smell, their poop smells... and they are prolific poopers... if you litter train your ferrets and clean their box(es) daily, they're really no smellier than owning a cat. Now if you let all that poop just sit there and don't keep up after it, then yes, the ferret POOP smells (like never flushing your toilet).
I was thinking this, too. It's extremely unsanitary especially when they're all taking their food off into different directions. What happens if they don't eat everything? The meat will spoil...
This was a whole chicken. Ferrets can eat a vast amount of meats however ferrets do also go something called imprinting. This basically means that if a ferret doesn't experience a food type in the first few months of life they might never read it as a food. When I raised my youngsters I had them try a huge variety of meats and also fish so now I don't have any trouble offering them a big variety in their meals. My younger ferrets I've raised however don't read kibble as a food, this is something I am quite happy with as with being obligate carnivores a balanced raw diet is best suited to their digestive system! You can also buy complete raw meals that have already been premade for you if you are worried about getting the ratio right. Basically you are looking for something with around 80%meat 10%bone 10% organ of which includes liver. Ferrets lkke felines also need taurine as they cannot produce their own. You can add a supplement or add a little heart to their meals as heart is high in taurine.
She started whistling and I just couldn't help but think (from ferrets POV) "My lord, our time has come, fuzzy uprising has become! We are ferret army and we are strong!"
