Thank you. I learned the Moss stitch in the round and love it. C2C has always been my go to afghan so I can’t wait to combine them. After watching a few other tutorials and a written pattern, yours was the easiest to see and understand. 😊. I plan to start with a dishcloth then on to lap blankets for Veterans.
Thank You! I have struggled with learning this for over a year. I have tried to follow other content creators but just couldn’t get it. You made it so easy to follow and understand. I got it the first try! Cool!!! I even frogged it several times, and started over, just to make sure I had it down. Success! Yay! I am so grateful!
Thank you so much for your support! I truly am honored. You’re one of the inspirations to starting our channel. Maybe someday we can work something out and do a video together?
This is a great tutorial! Like I said in the comments on your last video, I know the moss stitch & the C2C, but had no idea you could put them together. You are always so clear when explaining, you're a really great teacher. Thanks for taking the time to do this as I'm a visual learner & really rely on these videos. Excited to start a new blanket with this design. 💙🤗
Thank you! Finally a tutorial that helps make what everyone says is "easy" actually easy. I still consider myself a beginner. I know the moss stitch and have done some basic stuff like scarves using it. I think it's a beautiful stitch and love using it when I can. This actually makes using it in a C2C understandable and easy.
Best tutorial I've watched on moss stitch! I've watched so many I finally gave up trying to understand. You are great! Camera work, explanation, and pointers are perfect!
I'm gonna use royal purple & pink together & I'm gonna use black for a border, but idk what border yet 🤔.. I'm making it for a 5 yr old for a huge cat I just made her & she asked me for a blanket so the cat wouldn't get cold, lol.. the moss stitch is sooo durable!! I've been wanting to try c2c & came across ur tutorial & I'm very excited to start😁👍.. thanks for taking ur time to show me❣
Thanks. I’ve been crocheting for 55 years sometimes new stitches or methods stymie me. Your tutorial is clear, concise and easy to follow! Nice camera work, too. You’re good at this!
Thank you so much for this video. I’ve watched countless videos before this one trying to learn this method, and they might as well have been speaking a different language because it was so confusing. But after watching this one, it just clicked.
I’ve tried this a few times with other UA-cam videos but just end up frustrated. The very first time I followed your tutorial, I got it and is a much better pattern with the chain 2 father than 3. You explain very simply and your close up camera work is so clear ❤❤❤
Thank you so much! I've been crocheting for +10 yrs and until now I haven't been able to get to grips with the c2c. Your tutorial is the best I've seen so far. Thanks again! 🧶💕
You are so easy to follow .. the varigated yarn is a standout too .. would like to see how you join different colors for a diagonal look .. would this pattern go well with bulky yarn? I have enough to make a blanket but was looking for a stitch to make it.. this would be a perfect stitch .. many thanks .✔️ 👏👍
Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. The variegated yarn is definitely a fun choice! I’d love to do a tutorial on how to join colors for a diagonal look-great idea! And yes, this pattern would work wonderfully with bulky yarn, especially for a cozy blanket. Stay tuned for more content, and let me know if you try it out! 😊👍
Thank you for sharing. I have yet to master the moss stitch. Each year I try. I repeatedly forget to chain one. The corner to corner moss stitch might be easier for me.
Love this stitch! I’m still fairly new to crocheting, but I’ve caught on to a lot easily. This may be a silly question but when making a baby blanket using this style how do I know when to decrease to end the blanket?
It would be easier to see the stiches if you used a solid color yarn instead of a variegated. Bringing the camera in closer did help and the pace was good. I am a first time subscriber and you have a pleasant voice. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
I made this video and thumbnail a while ago. I’ve made many crochet items making the moss stitch as seen in the thumbnail. I don’t know who you are and anybody can say the picture is theirs. However, I believe the picture is of one of my crochet items. I will not be changing it. if you would like to email me to express your concern further, feel free to do so.
I am not disputing your video itself @Yarnasasecondlanguage - it is your thumbnail. The photo you are using as the background image is mine, whether you knowingly took it from my website or simply found it using a google image search, it is mine. You can clearly see it on my website. I was trying to be nice about this but apparently I need to take it up with UA-cam directly which is a shame.
I really like your videos. You have the best camera shots! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you very much!

Stumbled upon you tonight.. awesome tutorial, slow leisurely pace and great videography 👍👍
Glad you liked it!
Ahhh now I understand how you did it! I have never seen the moss stitch in a c2c before. Thanks so much Preston ❤

Great idea!

Love this stitch! I’m still fairly new to crocheting, but I’ve caught on to a lot easily. This may be a silly question but when making a baby blanket using this style how do I know when to decrease to end the blanket?
Great question! You can begin decreasing when the width of the blanket is at its desired size.
