I would recommend using a stitch marker in the chain one space to make it easier to find. Once they get through the beginning it will be easier to find.
Good morning, Everyone! I have always been afraid to attempt a c2c project because I feel like it is "above my pay grade" (my skill level) but this makes me want to give it a try. I love the color you chose, Ms. Crystal. I hope you have a very blessed day!
C2C is one of those stitches that once you "get it" you want to slap yourself in the head for being so intimidated. It's one of my favorites. I can't wait to try this one. Good Luck!! :)
Arizona checking in 😁 THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU……I was following the directions of another UA-camr, they went into this crazy math thing to decrease 🥴 My blanket is half done, but couldn’t figure out how to start decreasing it…I just put it aside to take it apart later…..so again, THANK YOU 😘
I love doing the moss stitch c2c. I have made a lot of things this way. It's great for washcloths. Then you can use it for scarves, shawls and blankets done as a rectangle. I think it looks beautiful especially with self stripping yarn and ombres. It's also a good way to use difficult yarn. Since it is easier to find the chain spaces instead of the stitches.
Great twist on the C2C ❣️ To help keep scissors sharp cut through aluminum foil several times. I like to sharpen my scissors weekly or after a long cutting session when sewing.
Crystal....you're a doll! I learned to crochet 70 years ago. Now getting older, have to pay closer attention. Just wanted to say for this c2c I opened on about 4 different tutorials and was frustrated. Then I said oh, there's bag-o-day! You are so goo. So clear and great to follow as I've been here several times with things. Thank you so darned much!!! ;)
Love this video. Can't wait to make a blanket using this method of the moss stitch. I just love the moss stitch. Joke coming: Someone send this girl a pair of eversharp scissors ✂️, LOL. Just a joke, don't take it the wrong way. Chrystal you should never be embarrassed about anything. You do more for us then you could ever imagine. You bring joy to our day, a smile to our face, help us perfect our craft and enlighten our knowledge of yarn. Thanks for all you do.
Hi, I have just watched two videos and attempted this style of crochet and oh boy did I not understand it. But hey you have come to my rescue. Thank you do much Crystal I now understand and will start with a wash cloth.
Thank you for this Crystal! I have made a blanket for my grandson for the backseat of my vehicle. He is so excited! He picked your pattern and the yarn for his blanket. Much appreciated!
I was about to go to bed but decided to watch this tutorial... and then had to give it a try. I've always liked the moss stitch, but never done it in C2C. It took me a few tries to get the hang of that first chain 1 space, but after that it was no problem. I really like the easy decrease. Thinking about making a bag or a pillow cover. 🤔 Thanks for another great tutorial!
Hi Crystal 👋 Okay... mystery solved, lol. I see soooo many beautiful C2C items on crochet channels & was intimidated but yet again you took the "l probably can't learn this !!" To "Dang y'all ! Look what l just learned to make !" 🤗 Thank you great Obie Wan of the yarn demention !! LoL PS lf you have "good scissors " that are dull you can gather them & take them to a knife sharpener shop or, if you have "dunno where l got them" pairs, fold a couple feet of tin foil into a "bar" about 8x8 inches & cut as many lines as possible. Solution #2 is to buy cheap sand paper (dollar 25 store stuff is great) cut a sheet into strips (sand side up) as with the tin foil. Then turn another sheet over (sand side down) so that you sharpen both blades ! My mama was a home seamstress & very frugal so l cut a lot of sand paper LOL Be well !! 🦋🧶🦋
Good morning Crystal and everyone else. Hope everyone is doing well. Well I haven't been crocheting for a long time. Only been crocheting for 5 months. I love this c2c stitches. I think it's very beautiful, but it looks a little hard for me especially trying to find those stitches, but maybe once I get some more experience I'll give it a try. Thank you Crystal for sharing this tutorial. With all of us. Take care and God Bless you.
Thank you Miss Crystal I did it did it I did a quarter to quarter to fantastic always wanted to learn how to do it if I did it thank you thank you thank you God bless you
I’m really not a fan of C2C stitches BUT I’m comfortable doing this moss stitch!! Thank you, Crystal, for sharing your excellent tutorial! Stay safe! Much love! 💕🤗💕
Good Morning Everyone C2C seemed like it would be too beyond my skill. Chrystal your instructions are so easy to follow that I want to grab some yarn and give it a try. Your voice and how you break it in to small steps are building my skills in crochet You are my go to for crochet projects. Hi fr 🇨🇦 PS my sister and I have "twin bags" fr Anonymous Amy thank you for directing us to her shop
Oh, thank you for this needed tutorial. I keep expanding my skills and knowledge because of your confidence in my ability and my confidence in you as an instructor. Like you, I have arthritis, so I know that your patterns and stitches will not result in a flare up.
Good morning Crystal,I'm a night owl, just like you. I've never done c2c with the moss stitch. I can't wait to make something with it. Thanks for the tutorial. Have a wonderful day. Love you bunches ❤️
I have never done this stitch before, but I am anxious to try this one for blankets, trivet, and dishcloths. Hoping the dishcloths do not stretch out on me like they are won't to do! LOL!
I've been afraid of c to c. I did watch another channel and wanted to give it a try. However it was a bigger item. Now this is smaller and I'm definitely going for it. The yarn colors are amazing. I may have missed you saying what it is so I'll go back and check later. I went back and didn't notice the name of the yarn. Thanks for giving me the umpf to give this a try. Hugs 🤗 😇
Great tutorial, moss stitch is one off my favourites, using it at the moment to crochet a square blanket and will definitely try it as a c2c. Thank you 🙂
I tried to learn this stitch from someone else's channel and I could follow along cause she was talking to much and not explaining in a way I could follow along. See I have ADHD so I have a hard time focusing sometimes. But when I watch your channel I learn things much easier! Thankyou for that crystal!
Thanks Crystal. Beautiful stitch. My sister just showed me a granny square purse that she made. These would work for that and appear to be dense enough that you wouldn't have to line the bag. Have a great day.🐑🐏☕
Love this. I think this would make beautiful potholders, blankets, and many more. Thank you Crystal for sharing all your knowledge. You are awesome. Stay safe. Xoxo
I just got to try your c2c moss stitch, and I learned it on my first try. I have never done the miss stitch in 56 years of crocheting, loving trying new things, a huge THANK YOU CRYSTAL. And yes am a Crystal fan, love you. Gail
Crystal, thanks for showing us this. I've only ever done traditional c2c. It is really pretty with the yarn you used. This would make pretty placemats. 😍
Thank You for this c2c square tutorial in the moss stitch! The trim just makes it look more finished; love the yarn color choice! I was sick yesterday so I slept all day!! That's why I'm awake!
You make this look so easy! And that yarn is so pretty with the stripes. I think I’m going to try this and just make some squares to go between my pots so they don’t get scratched up when I stack them. Thank you for another great tutorial Crystal!
Holy crow, that's a very smart idea !! I've been using folded paper towels for this for years lol. I love this solution bc it's makes sense and l also love what l call in betweeners, little wips to break up the monotony of doing a large afghan etc. I'll be making these as Christmas gifts !! Thanks!! I'm off to crochet some squares now lol Be well !🦋
@@doriwei5118 glad I could help! 😀 I use paper towel too haha! I figure it’s a good way to practice and only I’ll be seeing and judging the look of it 😄 making them for Christmas gifts is a great idea!! Happy crocheting! 🧶🧶
Crystal this is still the a very pretty stitch and very easy once you get started like you said it's starting if it's difficult you have a beautiful day and a wonderful week. Kay Domalik
Crystal, the granny c2c is my go to stitch for quick blankets or for fuzzy/fur type yarns. It's going to be so very nice having another c2c stitch to use. Blessings!
It’s like you read my mind!! I just started C2C from your scarf and hat set that was made with ice cream roving…. It’s so beautiful!! I was intimidated by C2C until I watched you, you never cease to amaze me, I love it!! Much love ❤️
Thank you crystal! Decreasing when doing c2c is where I have trouble and end up with diamonds instead of squares but doing it like this in moss stitch and hiw you showed how I think I can do this! I'm messing around with daisy granny squares right now no reall project in mind I think I'm going to do a daisy square then a moss stitch c2c then another moss c2c in between each daisy. Again not sure if im making a throw a cardigan or what but I think this will look awesome!
I'm making lapghans for Dialysis patients. I'm about halfway done with this afghan in c2c moss stch. Really easy. 😊
I would recommend using a stitch marker in the chain one space to make it easier to find. Once they get through the beginning it will be easier to find.

I was scared too, but Crystal has a c2c hat and scarf set, that's how I learned. It's actually super easy! I've made several afghans too. 💘
C2C is one of those stitches that once you "get it" you want to slap yourself in the head for being so intimidated. It's one of my favorites. I can't wait to try this one. Good Luck!! :)

I hope you have it a try!❤

This stitch looks even prettier corner to corner. Thank you.
Adding C2C to the moss stitch brings an already pretty stitch to a new level. Thank you, Crystal.
You are literally the best crochet instructor that I have found on UA-cam. Always clear and concise instructions! Thank you, Crystal 😊
I have never tried corner to corner.. you've made it so simple to understand. Thank you Crystal 🧶💚

Good morning Crystal. The color name is Flamenco stripes. Flamenco is a Spanish dance. Love your tutorials.
This stitch works up beautifully. I’m going to have to try it. Thank you Crystal.

Very pretty stitch. Looks like the hardest part is getting started. After that, this looks fairly easy. Thank you for the tutorial.
This is a beautiful square pattern. I love the stripes color. Another great tutorial to add to my project list. Thank you Crystal.
C2c moss stitch is my go-to stitch when I make blankets with my leftover yarn. It just works up the best blankets. Thank you for your tutorial!
This would make a great cushion cover, make two the same and then sew them together 😁 I'm adding this to my must do list, thanks Crystal 👍
