OMG! The topic that I've never understand from any lectures is very simple. And i make it simple from your explanation. Thank you so much. You did a great job. May God bless you.
At last..... finally! I understood this concept 🥲Thank you !! It's been years I have been just mugging up this concept but finally I got a visual understanding
Oh my god This is really a very easy topic I am shocked that previously I was having the biggest confusion in this topic only in the whole chemistry😅😅😅😅😅😅 But now it is very easy
Your class is very clear ...and very good especially your class will help childrens in this situation they have no option come class but some youtubers related study will help them to study especially your class is very very helpful for children ,I recommend this channel for my children
Thank you so much .. I am so happy now. I have been trying to understand the difficult theories provided in others videos but failed. But now I got all the points properly.💖
OMG, how easily it has been explained in the Video, fantastic explanation, it took me tons of brain energy to understand it by myself, but now it's crystal Clear Thank You 😄😄♥♥♥
@Harjot Singh Relativity Atomic Mass. The Word Relative simply means you have to relate something. For Example - There Are 5 students (A,B,C,D,E) of random Mass - 20 , 40, 60, 80, 100. You have to compare 'How much heavier is student C as compared to A' or How much heavier is student D as compared to A' and so on - you will get C is 3 times heavier than A and D is 5 times heavier than A. ("If u didn't understand this example just imagine your relatives comparing their childrens marks with your marks 😂✌️") Similarly in case of Chemistry You have to compare atoms mass with each other. Hence to Do so IUPAC made rule to compare mass any atom of any element in this universe with 1/ 12 part of C- 12 atom that is 1 amu. As shown in the video 2:41 u will notice that C atom is broken into 12 parts in order to stay in equilibrium. Hence we will compare everything with 1/ 12 part of carbon atom ( 1 amu). Example for Oxygen atom atomic mass is 16 hence inorder to balance ⚖️ the weight you will need 16 small balls of C 12 . Hence see this image 3:55 You will get what I m trying to say. Hence answer is 16 amu or u. This is relative atomic mass - simply relate mass of every atom in this universe with 1/12 part of C-12 atom. i.e 1 amu. Notes - If you search on internet - what is the unit of relative atomic mass Ans is Unless which is true, but in questions it is given in amu just because it become easy for us students to identify ke it's Relative Atomic Mass.) Done 😊 👍 I tried My level Best to keep it as simple as possible, It's bit confusing if you try to understand from book itself but do remember In order to understand anything you have to be empty, as if you don't know anything about that in case you know then leave that Concept first and then try to understand things from scratch..... As far as I think the reason you are not able to understand even from this video is you have use many resources and now everything is mixed in your brain. So I will recommend you to try to forget those old explanations and try understanding this topic with fresh mind cuz it's easy but requires attention 🙂👊🏻 . I hope It would help.. All The best for what's so ever things you are working for. Peace ✌️😎

1:How did they find the mass of Carbon ? 2:Why do we not apply the same method for all ? 3: consider if we discover a new element and try to find it's mass, we will compare it with C12. Then how will we know the number of protons and neutrons ? If there is separate method of finding Neutrons and Protons then why do we need to compare it with C12 ?
The mass of carbon-12 (\(\ce{^{12}C}\)) was determined using several steps involving both experimental and theoretical approaches: 1. **Historical Context and Atomic Mass Scale**: The atomic mass scale originally used hydrogen as the reference (with a mass of 1). Later, oxygen-16 was used, but eventually, carbon-12 was adopted because of its greater precision and stability in measurements. 2. **Mass Spectrometry**: This technique allows scientists to measure the mass-to-charge ratio of ions. By ionizing carbon-12 atoms and measuring their deflection in a magnetic field, scientists could determine the atomic mass of carbon-12 with high precision. 3. **Avogadro's Number**: The concept of the mole and Avogadro's number (the number of atoms in 12 grams of carbon-12) helped to define the mass of a single carbon-12 atom. 4. **Unified Atomic Mass Unit**: The unified atomic mass unit (u) was defined as 1/12th the mass of a carbon-12 atom. This makes carbon-12 exactly 12 u by definition. When discovering a new element and determining its atomic mass, it is compared to carbon-12 because: 1. **Standard Reference**: Using carbon-12 as a standard reference provides consistency and allows for precise comparisons of atomic masses across different elements. 2. **Mass Spectrometry**: In mass spectrometry, the mass of the new element's ion can be measured relative to the mass of the carbon-12 ion, allowing for an accurate determination of its atomic mass. To determine the number of protons and neutrons in a new element: 1. **Protons**: The number of protons (atomic number) is determined using X-ray spectroscopy or other methods that reveal the element's position in the periodic table based on its electron configuration and chemical properties. 2. **Neutrons**: The number of neutrons is found by subtracting the number of protons from the atomic mass. Neutron count = Atomic mass (rounded to the nearest whole number) - Number of protons. So, while the determination of protons and neutrons involves separate methods, comparing the atomic mass to carbon-12 provides a standardized way to express atomic masses universally. This comparison ensures consistency in the atomic mass scale and facilitates easier communication and understanding of atomic properties across different elements.
