- John Fogerty came out to Redondo Beach for BeachLife Fest on Sunday, and he completely stole the show! This was Fogerty's first show since getting his songs back. What a celebration! He brought the whole family! It was HIT after HIT! He had our whole beach community singing along, while the sun set over the Pacific Ocean. It was an iconic moment in music history, and we are all lucky to have witnessed it live. Only at BeachLife Festival!
Saw John in 71. He hasn't lost a beat. One of the greatest ever!

John sounds so good that I was literally watching for signs that he was lip synching here. His voice is in incredible shape for a man pushing 80.
I wonder if having a somewhat soft spoken speaking voice has anything to with it... I love how voice
Awesome! We were so fortunate to be there. Can't believe how much energy he has at 77 years young! So fun to see his kids up on stage with him too - and all the guitars! He changed guitars for every song.
I was lucky enough to be there and it was even more amazing in person. Gorgeous day, sun was shining, ocean breeze just blowing gently, boats anchored just a few feet away, and John was singing his heart out and sharing love with the crowd of about 10,000 people. Truly a moment. Thank you, BeachLife, for making this happen and for sharing this video.

Crazy how he sounds so different than he did in the 60s but still sounds so good
Bear in mind, he is 77 years old ,so he's not gonna sound the same as he did at 27 .

@@yeahright302 I don't think is dumb, I was actually thinking the same. The techique he's using is way different, no rasp voice (and that should be more predominant with age)
I’m happy that his voice with less rasp still sounds like him and amazing. He has a really great technique. I am kinda willing to bet it was mostly a choice at some point in his career in order to prolong it. I think he could probably even still do it but with a bit more effort (which a professional singer may not want to risk..trying to recapture at risk of tiring their voice out over long shows). …fortunately he is the one who wrote the songs and his voice still sounds great doing it.
It somehow sounds a little more mellow, mature and comfortable.
There is the chance he could’ve had throat surgeries or injuries from the past that sorta forced him to take a different approach too. Not sure.
