Been eating almonds and (ground) flax seeds everyday for a while now and my skin has improved so much. I used to get so many skin imperfections and issues, but now my skin is smooth, no more black heads nor pimples, I don't use all those expensive creams that I used to buy anymore. My skin just looks perfect the way it does, without any skin-product. I also follow a Whole Plant Based Diet of course. Amazing skin, amazing health (haven't got sick ever since), amazing levels of energy. Can't recommend enough!!
I corrected my diet and got No more loose teeth, bleeding gums, sensitive teeth, blocked sinuses, mouth breathing, left eye twitches, heartburn, calf cramps, yellow stool, blood in stool, edema below the knees, pain in feet when walking, I can stay out in the sun longer without burning or peeling, lower back has recently started feeling stronger.
I eat a lot of seeds and herbs flax seeds included so I dont know whats making my skin looks healthy. but as far as I know that being on vegan lifestyle is a game changer regarding to look youthful
What about those pesky brown spots on the face? Any plants foods to diminish their appearance or get rid of them instead of chemicals or lazer treatments? Thanks in advance. 👈🌱💚💪✌️
@Benson Log off mr Elon. There are no studies showing sunscreens lead to cancer, what you’ll find at most is that study with benzene contamination in some sunscreens.
Avoid excessive sun exposure (i.e. getting burnt and peeling) and enjoying early or late sun especially and without sunscreen to build up a natural tanning slowly over time with crucial natural vitamin D benefits. :)
Health care costs are out of control. Going WFPB vegan can save money, pain and suffering from disease. Lower your chance of high blood pressure, heart disease and cancer by going vegan. Hospitals, doctors offices and schools should be places where good nutrition is taught and provided not places that contribute to disease and obesity. It is crazy the hospitals are feeding people the very food that caused the heart disease, high blood pressure or cancer that they are treating. Every person in the hospital should receive some nutrition education before being released. Every doctor visit should be an opportunity to educate patients about how food choices impacts their health outcomes. The fact that doctors do not get nutrition training as part of their training makes no sense. Medicare and Medicaid should require nutrition education as part of patient care. Focus should be on food choices.
How can you find a plant based doctor with nutrition training locally ? Doctors do not get nutrition training in medical school and only learn to test, and treat thru diagnostic testing, prescribing medication or recommending surgery. There is little hope of dealing with the root cause unless you can find a plant based doctor. Is there a national directory or some other source to find a doctor.
I googled plant based doctors and found that the physician's committee (I think Dr. Greger is a member.) has a list, but the ones near me aren't taking new patients. I'm on the waiting list though!
I have to think the sun can’t be as bad for our skin as we’ve been told. Our ancestors lived their lives out in the sun all day every day of the year. Evolution surely wouldn’t have made us so weak to the sunlight which would be ever present in our lives. It’s just hard to square that living our lives as closely to our nature as possible is beneficial for us in every other way (eating our natural WFPB diet, daily exercise, socializing with friends and family, spending time in natural environments, nurturing our soul, etc.) but getting more than 20 minutes of midday sunlight is dangerous? Really?
You mean, our ancestors that only lived to, if they were lucky, 50? Skin cancer has been a thing for a REALLY long time, but we don't develop signs of it as quickly as fast as we died in the past. Make your own experiment and let us know how it turns out for ya. You go live out in the sun, all day long, every day, for years at a time and tell us what happens. It may only be an anecdote, but I'm sure it'll help you understand why research has already found this out. smh
I have found that if I eat lots of saturated fat I can stay in the sun longer, I burn less and the redness goes away within a day or two. Also no more peeling after a mild sunburn. I think it may be that when we eat stable fats our body uses it for our cells and it becomes much harder for the sun to cause oxidative damage.
That's an appeal to nature fallacy. Just because our ancestors did something, doesn't meant it was healthy. Skin cancer could have been very common in our ancestors, after all melanomas don't fossilised well. I'd rather go by what we have evidence for NOW, and its clear that UV is carcinogenic. Also, no idea about your skin, but I notice most of the prominent anti sunscreen ancestral types (e.g. Paul Saladino) are white yet talk about our distant ancestors, who were darker skinned and had more UV protection
Their environment and foods weren't as polluted but keep the Blue Zones in mind. They aren't over-concerned about the sun, but they don't care about wrinkles either.

Look up the video on YT of olive oil infused with rosemary and bay leaf. I made it the other day and it feels great on my skin. Smells really good as well.
Like that little girl meme says, why not both? You can eat red meat and smoke and still be healthy, but that's more likely to happen if you hit the genetic lottery. Most of us need to be prudent about our diet and lifestyle. As the scripture says, a man shall reap what he sows. If we want good health, we should care for our bodies according to the best available knowledge on the subject according to our ability.
A girl I knew who had the best skin of anyone I've ever met chewed bubblegum. Obviously the problem here is that they just aren't testing the right practices on the right people. I'll bet there isn't even a body of RCT research looking at bubblegum for anything.
